Unable to actually use product as ring melted in microwave steriliser so useless! Very disappointed.

The rings melted In the microwave steriliser. I looked on the Avent website and 1 ring costs more than a bottle! Very disappointing.

I really liked this feeding system for my twins however the rings then melted in the Avent Microwave steriliser!!
Found the replacement on this site and it costs more for one ring than buying a new bottle - ridiculous. Costing me to replace the bottles and also environmentally unfriendly to have to replace the whole system rather than just a part.
Will be trying new bottles/different brand unfortunately.

I bought these bottles on the basis of the Avent teat size. The bottles in general have been great. The ring however, is a pain! The adapter rings have been fine in my plug in steriliser but melted in a microwave steriliser used by baby's creche. They are an extra to wash and keep an eye on! Without the rings, the bottle and baby trainer drinking bottle with handles that we own are rendered useless. I could not find the rings on the high street and will have to order more online at the cost of new bottles!

I have loved using these bottles with my daughter, we have tried 4 different makes an this is by far her favourite. I have not had any problems with them until this morning when I got them out of the steriliser to make up her bottles and 2 of the rings had melted.
I have always used the steriliser as per instructions. Luckily I have a few spare bottles but I have tried to look for the rings and they are expensive to buy separately.
If this ongoing fault can be rectified I would recommend these bottles.

The rings melt in microwave sterliser and cannot be replaced in Ireland

I am happy with the bottles but 3 out of the 4 rings melted in the microwave steriliser. I sterilise them all the same way I do every day and as I say only 3 out of the 4 melted.

Now we have to buy some more so that we can continue to use the bottles but they seem to be a bit expensive

Used Avent bottles, sterilisers and breast pump with my daughter born 9 years ago with no issues and they were great! Bought the same for my son born 6 months ago but have found the new ring adapters (which weren't included previously), although beneficial with my sons colic, have started to melt and become misshapen in the steriliser. The steriliser was used correctly and the bubbles still appear. Have replaced bottles twice (which I wouldn't expect to do after only 6 months) as was unable to purchase separately - FYI the 'stockists' you advise that sell these rings do not. Not one of them!

We used the Avent bottles with the ring for my first baby - it's a bit of a faff but you quickly get used to it.
Generally we were very happy with the bottles and microwave steriliser but at least half of the rings have developed a plastic bubble on the inside.
It seems to have happened in the microwave steriliser, perhaps there was some water on them when I put them in? You have to bin them because if you try to use them milk leaks out of bottle when it's upturned.

I'm going to have to buy some more for no 2 as we now have more bottles than rings. Unfortunately they seem to cost quite a bit for something so small.

Melts when sterilised, total waste of money. And replacement far too expensive. Would never buy again.

I already had the classic bottles from my previouse baby and when I bought some more didnt realise the new bottles come with a new insert. I would not recommend them as not only are they extra work to clean and assemble in an already busy and stressfull reagime but if you forget to add water to your micro steriliser they will melt.

It was great to be able to purchase this part without having to buy the whole bottle

This product saved my sanity... Thinking i would never have an evening to myself as my daughter cried for no reason for hours on end from 6days until i was told she probably had colic at 18days. I went in search of anything that would help. Using Avent bottles from the start i put these in every bottle feed and as far as i'm concerned it has made the world of difference. She no longer cries every evening, is much happier through the day and at 5 weeks old is sleeping through the night.
