Description

Once you reach your daily step count by chasing the kids and you’re ready to leave the house, it helps to have the flexibility the Tayla Stroller provides every time you head out.

It all starts with 4 recline positions for customized comfort. The reversible stroller seat sits upright or reclines back – and faces you or the world ahead. That way, baby can lie back and rest in the soft, plush fabrics, while you daydream of doing the same. And curious toddlers can sit upright to face you and exchange high fives, or the cashier as you exchange an outgrown onesie.

Then there’s the little things that help change your day for the better. Like getting around more smoothly. The all-wheel suspension with SmoothRide tire technology keeps those bumps in the road at a minimum, so your napping child stays resting. And the lockable swivel wheels make it easy to transition from sidewalk to the park. Let’s not forget sun protection. We have you covered with the MaxShade extendable canopy that covers the entire seat and zips away to store neatly.

When it comes to storage, the extra-large basket offers plenty of room for diapers, wipes, clothes, and snacks you can quickly reach at a meltdown’s notice. For added comfort as seasons change, the reversible seat cushion features breathable mesh for warmer days, and cozy knit for cooler days. Oh, and did we mention the adjustable handlebar and one-hand fold? Because you don’t have to ask, we’re giving you a hand.

With the Tayla Modular Stroller you have the versatility you need on every stroll, without having to compromise comfort.

  • Modular (reversible) stroller seat is designed to be either parent- or world-facing
  • Seat boasts 4 recline positions for a customized comfort

I've used the Tayla Stroller for a little more than a week now and I LOVE IT! So many features that many other brands would look over removable cup holder, full recline with full canopy etc.

A luxury stroller with all the bells and whistles for an reasonable price. I've recommended this stroller to my mom group and they've all mentioned how amazing it is.

ABSOLUTLEY LOVE

I love how light weight the Tayla is, our other stroller is so heavy and with all the baby gear it gets a lot when lugging it to and from car all the time. This stroller is so easy to collapse as well. My son hates when the sun is able to get in his eyes so the 360 shade protector is awesome!! was provided with product in exchange for an honest review. The chicest stroller ever! The leather handles make it nice and easy to hold on to. The parent cup is such a bonus! My daughter felt so comfortable in it she would sit in there for hours and wouldn't wanna come out. The 4 recline positions were one of my favorite features! It took me a minute to get comfortable
Folding and opening the stroller but once I figured it out it was the easiest thing! Compared to 2 other brands we've tried, this is by far the lightest, most comfortable and luxurious stroller!

I'm LOVING this stroller! It has a sleek and modern design and folds/unfolds with ease. It's lightweight, which is great, and was simple to assemble. The lap bar swivels and opens at either side. I love the versatility of the seat, and the wide range of reclining options. The foot rest even adjusts for little one's comfort! The 360 shade is awesome and a feature I've never had on any of our previous three strollers. We're long time lovers of the Maxi Cosi brand, and they definitely did not disappoint with this beautiful stroller!

We love taking our daughter and dog on walks. I've been wanting to upgrade our stroller to something more lightweight and less bulky and this Maxi-Cosi stroller is just that! We decided to test it out one day where we had to be out walking for about 6 hours and it did NOT disappoint! Not to mention our daughter was knocked out for her afternoon nap in the stroller, so safe to say she enjoys it.

Tayla Modular Stroller - is beautiful and functional. Simply
By Rebecca
from Minneapolis, Minnesota
on February 26, 2021
We took it out of the box and quickly assembled it without any direction.

I appreciate that it's compact and it fits nicely in the back of my Prius V. In the folded position, it stands up on its own wheels - which is nice during a Minnesota winter. No worry of it dumping over in the slush and snow.

My daughter is nearly 1 year old and loves to see the action. We had her in the world-facing view, and in the most upright position. The 360° MaxShade mesh privacy shade is genius. It extends out when needed and zips away cleanly. I'm ready to try it out on the golden hour walks this summer (when we want to stay out later, but the bugs come out earlier).

I hate to admit it, it took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to unfold it for the first time - but after I figured it out (after calling my husband), it really wasn't that difficult. I just had to do it in the right order.

I had people turning heads looking at this stroller. No joke, three people asked me about it!!!

One of a kind chic stroller
By 1TwoJay

This is a really nice lightweight and versatile stroller. We have this stroller in red and it's looks very chic and luxurious! The stroller is lightweight, a huge plus when you're carrying a newborn or toddler and also trying to maneuver a stroller. I'm still practicing with opening the stroller after it's been folded up. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, so maybe I just need practice. Other features I love about the stroller include the rain cover, the reversible seat cushion and the nice shade that has a cool peak a boo window. When my daughter is in the stroller facing out I can peak in the window to make sure she's still content. At 18 months and 23 pounds this stroller accommodates her well and the ride is very smooth. The stroller provides all the things we need. Thank you Stellar product testing panel for providing us with this stroller

Dreamy Stroller for One!
By CLaraGA
from Dawsonville, GA
on February 26, 2021
The Tayla Modular stroller is worth the hype! I have an 18-month-old who, when awake, wants to sit up and see the world, but quickly falls asleep on long walks. It's so nice to easily be able to adjust the recline of the seat while he's sitting in it. I'm also very impressed by the overall quality and look of the stroller. The fabric is durable and soft with a luxurious look and feel. There is great padding on the seats and straps. A feature I never would have known I NEEDED is the stiff structure of the buckle that goes between the child's legs. It stays put, stands firm and provides easy access... no more digging and searching for the buckle before your child escapes the stroller! The stroller is easy to fold and unfold with one hand. I have another very expensive name brand stroller that requires two hands to assemble, and I didn't realize how much I was struggling with it until I tried the Tayla Modular Stroller. In addition to the ease, this stroller is functional! The wheels are superior to other stroller wheels, as they make a tough terrain very simple to navigate.

I do need to mention a few features I wish it had. First and foremost, the option to add a second seat or standing board because I have two toddlers. Lastly, the basket on the bottom has very low edges. The space between the basket and the seat is much larger than my other stroller, but the sides of the basket are so low that you can't fit very much in the basket. I would also love to see a tray with a cupholder for the baby. Overall, I was so pleased to test this product for the Stellar Product Testing Panel and would recommend it to my friends!

I am impressed overall!
By PurpleAuraElements

The stroller itself is visually and aesthetically appealing, I love the modern and sleek look of it and the color combo of the lighter gray and graphite color. I like gray and black color schemes in general and tend towards black but this color definitely surprised me in a good way. I say go for this color as a nice alternative to black.

A tiny bit of a learning curve to assemble and figure out, but it really took no time at all to figure out which buttons do what. I love the ease of the swivel safety bar one button release for putting my girl in the seat. The harness adjustment took some fumbling to figure out, not sure if it's a good thing or not that the neck and shoulder support pads are sewn to the belts? On hand I think it's nice because it keeps them secure, on the other hand it may be better if they were completely removable.

I will note that my 1 year old is on the smaller side (long and lean) and we has to adjust the straps down a lot, which left a lot of excess strap hanging on both sides and the support pads were in an awkward place on her neck and shoulders. The other concern for us is that since she's tall for her age her feet are a few inches away from the foot rest on the stroller seat so I would be aware of height indications as well before investment. She will still get great use out of it just can't predict how long!

My hubby noted that the adjustment straps may have been better placed at the back of the stroller seat and not within the stroller seat where you have to adjust the straps in front. The excess strap lengths being in front take away from the overall streamlining and comfort for the little one. My favorite things about the stroller: I love the rear facing with the option to turn outwards, the different reclining options and the mesh protector. Nice stroller but expected more for the price
By B M.
from Louisville, KY
on February 26, 2021
I received this stroller for free from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.

Out of the box, this stroller is nice to look at. It has a well designed and crafted leather handle that feels great and expensive while walking with your baby, and looks great too. Likewise, the stroller seat liner is also a nice quality, with convenient cool and hot sides depending on the weather.

Other pros include the snap on cup holder and the ability to alternate between having the child be parent-facing or outward-facing.

Unfortunately, there are some clear Cons for this stroller as well, especially at its price point. First, the wheels of the stroller are plastic as opposed to rubber. In my experience, this not only makes it harder to maneuver the stroller in snowy or icy weather (important where I live), but also leads to noticeable wear and damage to the wheels that simply doesn't happen with higher quality rubber wheels. At the cost this stroller poses, I expect rubber wheels. Second, the stroller is not very intuitive or easy to collapse or open. Instead, opening it from a collapsed position requires you to push in a button and slide it over at the same time, while also using a foot to push on one of the lower brackets to get the stroller to unfold. This is impossible to do with one hand, which would be nice for when holding your child, but even with both hands seems overly complicated and frustrating. Collapsing the stroller is a little easier, but has its own frustrating feature in that it doesn't collapse very flat when the seat is attached. Finally, the sun shade is also difficult to use and get down all of the way. It's not overly smooth either, but it does provide good coverage once you get it in place.

Overall, this is a good stroller that's obviously a higher quality than many of the mainstream options on the market. It rolls smoothly and is comfortable to use once it's set up. The issue I have, however, is with what you get for the cost

super smooth ride
By brooklyn_mama_leonard
from Croton on Hudson, NY
on February 25, 2021
Wow I am super impressed by how smooth the Tayla Modular Stroller rides on uneven terrain. I used this after some heavy snow in New York so going over sidewalks of icy patches and some uncleared snow was pretty easy with this stroller. +1 to the ability to adjust the wheels for when you need to switch from a smooth to more uneven path.

My daughter is 18 months and I was a little worried she wouldn't like being stuck in a stroller. I was really surprised at how much she enjoyed riding in it. We've walked for 30+ minutes around the neighborhood and not once did she ask to get out. I think it's due to the fact I was able to adjust the seat to face me the entire time.

The ability to fold the stroller was a little difficult for me to master. It took more of a two handed fold to successfully do it. I will say that the weight of the stroller was a pleasant surprise. I often have to carry it up and down stairs before and after walks and it isn't daunting at all.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

Beautiful, functional, and modern stroller
By Sierracj
from Dallas, Texas
on February 25, 2021
Me and my son have really enjoyed this stroller! To start, assembly is a breeze!
First impressions, this stroller is so cute! It has a very modern aesthetic - which I love. I also thought the design of the cushion that flips, one side for warm weather and one side for cold weather - is so smart! The buckle is easy to clasp and the seat was very comfortable for my 18 month old! The one hand recline is super easy to maneuver from sitting upright to laying back . Also, for a stroller of it's size with a large storage basket, I was impressed that it feels quite light and is very easy to push!

I have to say my favorite feature, and the one I was most excited to try out, is the 360 shade. Holy moly, it does not disappoint! It completely shielded my baby and not in a way that seemed to cramp him or take away from the coziness of the seat. I was nervous it would be hard to get the shade put back away (it has a small zipper compartment) but I was able to easily roll it back up and store it out of the way.

There were a few things I noted that weren't my favorite - thought not quite deal breakers. First, to use the toddler seat vs. an infant carseat, you have to change out the attachments on the stroller. I doubt one would be switching back and forth on a daily basis but it is definitely worth noting so you properly store the other pieces away for when it is time to switch! Next, while the fold did get easier over time, I did find it difficult to open and close the first couple of times. It doesn't so much fold as it does glide open/closed so once I got that down, it was much easier. I love that it stands up when folded, and while the fold is thin, it is very long. This would probably take a decent amount of trunk space so definitely measure.

Overall, this is a wonderful stroller and it will definitely get lots of use for years to come!

Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this stroller to try!

Super Cosi Stroller
By MommieMich90
from Canyon Country, CA
on February 24, 2021
?I love how stylish this stroller is. Tayla has the cutest color combo from the seat to the handle. The leather brown handlebar accents the black stroller and the grey seat pad just tops it all off.

This is my sons' favorite stroller now. He points at it and wants to just sit in it, even when we're not going out. He feels super special in it.

Tayla has few awesome features. The net that shields my son from bugs and debris is my all-time favorite. I'm able to tuck it back into the sunshade without having to have a separate attachment that I'll most likely forget at home when I need it the most. Also, I really like the fact that I can see him through the top of the seat. The 360 shade really makes me feel like he's protected from the sun's rays without blocking his view of the world. Almost forgot, the cup holder that it comes with is an extra perk that I do not have to come out of pocket for.

I can't go without mentioning the cons that bugging me about this stroller. First, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open and close this stroller one-handedly. It is just not possible for me to do. It a two-step process on the stroller handlebar that I feel is a bit too much. Second, the seat buckle looks nice but can become annoying taking it on and off. It feels like I am back in the stone ages of strollers. Third, I kind of can't get over how cheap the material feels and how heavy the stroller rides. It's not a smooth pushing experience while walking.

Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for gifting me this Tayla stroller!

Genuinely easy to fold with one hand!
By doctorfosser
from Newton, MA
on February 24, 2021
Whenever a stroller promises "easy one-handed fold" I roll my eyes. It never seems to quite work that way in practice. But I have to say, the Tayla Modular DELIVERS. My favorite thing about this stroller is the foldability. Not only can I fold it with one hand, but it actually stands up on its own. What?! I know. We live in a 2nd floor walk up so this is truly a gamechanger when you're trying to get a baby and a stroller up the stairs.

Everything else about this stroller is fine-to-good. Nothing groundbreaking, nothing bad. It maneuvers well, though I feel like the fabrics aren't as high end as I was expecting. But I'd still recommend this for the folding alone! (I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel)

One of a Kind Features
By srivers777

Before I go into detail, I want to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the Maxi Cosi Tayla Modular Lightweight Stroller. Straight out of the box it took me about 10-15 minutes to put together (disclaimer: I normally leave that up to my husband). I am somewhat of a stroller snob and found myself impressed with the structure and style. The brown leather handle gave the stroller a more upscale look accompanied with the color scheme and material of the seat. Tayla is compact and well constructed. Both my 1 and 3 year old's loved the stroller and appeared to be comfortable in it. I have never seen a stroller with a built in mosquito/shade net, which is something I didn't think I needed until I had it. Even my kids loved riding around with the net down. Another built-in feature is the cup holder which can be moved to one side or the other.

I wouldn't say it is the lightest stroller but definitely not overly bulky. The way it folds down makes it easy to pull using the handle and wheels. I did struggle with unfolding and collapsing. During unfolding I had a few moments where it wouldn't click in place on the first try and had to get a good push with my foot to prevent it from collapsing on me. I also can see how the stroller can collapse if you accidently push and hold the two buttons while adjusting the handle.

Overall, this stroller has pros and cons but I would say the positive definitely outweigh the negative. You also can't go wrong with the extras that come with the stroller including the rain cover, car seat adapters and cup holder. I appreciate not having to purchase these items separately. Maxi Cosi Tayla Modular Lightweight Stroller gets a strong thumbs up!!!

Beautiful and versatile stroller.
By Lisa T.
from Washington, DC
on February 23, 2021
I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and our family has loved it. To start, it was so easy to put together, it took less than 10 minutes to assemble (and that was even with a toddler "helping".) Once assembled it's just a beautiful stroller, very sleek, classy, and extremely well made and sturdy. Once we got the hang of it the one handed open and close is just fantastic, I was able to open and close the stroller while holding my 1 year old with no issues, a huge plus with strollers. With the different configurations, both my 1 year old and 2.5 year old were able to enjoy this stroller - the 2 year old loved being forward facing and upright so he could see everything going on. My 1 year old loved being forward but reclined, and I loved the option to have her facing me for when I was feeding her or when she was fussy. And it's incredibly easy to switch from forward to rear facing. The seat is also so soft, I'd actually describe it as luxurious with the extra seat insert for the hot and cold. The material is also very easy to wipe clean. And the ride was so smooth and it was so easy to maneuver and handle, and I especially loved that the handle bar could extend so you could easily reach it without hunching over or stretching. We really loved everything about this stroller, with the only minor complaint being that the cup holder sometimes fell off when closing the stroller. This truly is such a great practical and versatile stroller for everything from long walks or quick trips to the store, with lots of room underneath for storage. It's a quality stroller that both our 1 year old and 2.5 year old could enjoy so it will definitely get years of use - so I'd highly recommend this beautiful stroller for babies through toddler ages.

Exceeded Expectations
By ABaldassano

on February 23, 2021
The functionality of the Maxi Cosi Tayla Modular stroller is in line with all the needs in a day with my 15-month old. It suited me walking the neighborhood, going to the park, and the local zoo. The configuration I love most is parent facing, and the configuration my little one loves most is facing outward-My little one appeared comfortable on his ride either way! Whether it be, the swivel or locked wheel positions, or various seat positions, all adjustments on stroller are EASY! The buttons are very user friendly and comfort progresses into the position options for me and little one. The Higher riding position of the seat is ergonomically better for my low back as to bend over placing him in/out, or for a needed strap adjustment. The one handed fold is a great asset. A little tricky at first while trying to squeeze the handle adjustment button and slide the opposing button. But quickly understood its function and found it truly doable with one hand. It is also nice that there are no parts to remove in order for it to fold down flat or into its standing option. The 360° shade is gold! Not only does the existing shade pull forward with ease and fantastic coverage, but the 360° option is seriously amazing at keeping the elements out. Although tucking the shade back in was my least favorite part of the stroller-maybe a size up on the zipper would make it easier to tuck it back into its secured zipped position. The quality of materials, and thoughtful design that has gone into this stroller are apparent. The unobstructed access to the storage basket that is rated to hold up to 25-pounds with plenty of room is another great highlight! I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Overall great single stroller!
By AC
from Los Angeles, CA
on February 23, 2021
I have owned and used many different types of strollers, from single to double, jogging to travel/umbrella, and this is a great single stroller that checks off a lot of the boxes for things that are nice to have in an everyday use stroller!

I've listed these in the pros section below, but one unique thing that did stand out that i've never seen in other stroller before is the attached 360 shade. This is probably my favorite thing about this stroller! It's convenient because it's already attached to the sunshade, so you can just unzip it and pull it down. It has elastic at the bottom so it easily stretches and wraps around the footrest of the seat, giving full sun coverage and/or privacy, but still good air flow because of the mesh material. Perfect for naps, blocking out sun or just some extra privacy.

Pros:
- seat can be switched around to forward facing or parent facing
- one handed fold, locks and stands upright when folded. can also be folded with the seat attached
- easy to maneuver with one hand and didn't feel too heavy to push around
- several seat recline positions
- decent sized basket
- big sunshade and convenient, attached 360 shade for full coverage and privacy

Cons:
- was a little difficult figuring out how to open and close the stroller with one hand, but with some practice it did get easier
- not the lightest stroller ever, so may not be great for travel or if you have to carry up and down a lot of stairs, but does fold pretty compact for a stroller this size

Overall a great single stroller that has a lot of the things I'd want in an everyday use stroller, plus some added perks as well! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

Extreme comfort for all in the Tayla
By Matrick2319

I am incredibly impressed with the design and quality of the Tayla Modular Stroller. Let me begin by saying I am a fairly tall guy at 6'2". Most strollers are awkward for me to push because of the low handlebar height and my long stride when I walk. The Tayla solved that problem with an adjustable 4-position handlebar. I was able to raise the handlebar for my comfort level and not worry about kicking the crossbar below. Then when it was my wife's turn to push, she was able to lower it for her comfort level. This really is a wonderful design feature! I am equally impressed with the solid metal frame and sturdy construction. It looks and feels like a durable stroller. The tires are large, strong, and easy to use on sidewalks, grass, and mulch. It has a pretty large storage basket below to hold baby items and a simple but effective parent cup holder. Another awesome feature is the foot brake-press the right side to lock and press the left side to unlock. As for the comfort of my children, the Tayla earns 5 stars. I tested the stroller with my 18 month old son and 3 year old daughter. The fabric is so smooth and feels very cushiony and high-end. The safety harness seemed very comfortable and they both genuinely looked snuggled in and cozy. The multi-position reclining seat was so fun for my daughter to select her "just right" position. While my son enjoyed both forward facing and rear facing positions. I was happily surprised by the height of the stroller seat! I am always hunched over to check on the children but the Tayla has a higher ride-height than the other strollers that I own. I felt like the children loved riding higher up and I loved not having to bend over to tend to them. It was such a cool thing that I noticed it immediately even though I do not think they advertise it, but to me it was probably the best feature! I also used the canopy during our sunny walks and wow, it literally covers head to toe! I have only one constructive comment about the Tayla.

The Tayla modular stroller exceeded any and all expectations I had for a single seat stroller. You can tell by the detail put into the design that the manufacturer took into consideration comfort, convenience and aesthetics. My little one loved this stroller more than any other she had been in (three others!). The one handed fold was a dream come true, especially when toting it around with multiple kids. The design of the stroller is great for various terrains and weather, as the 360 shade protected from sun and wind. Thanks Stellar Testing Panel for the opportunity to try this stroller.

Stylish and Compact, Perfect for City Living!
By cindellanyc

The best part of the Tayla Modular Stroller is its size - it's a compact but still full-size stroller. We live in the city and this is a huge perk. Another equally important function is that it folds down easily and is SELF STANDING - it stands up nicely against the wall in our narrow hallway. My baby is 16 months and seems to still prefer facing in (toward me), but it's nice to have the option to face him out as he gets older. My baby loves the handlebar, and he will rest his head on it while we're strolling around. Personally, I think the stroller looks sleek and stylish, and I also love the leather handles (for me and baby).

My only complaint about the stroller is that is doesn't maneuver as well or smoothly as I would prefer. We have some old, uneven sidewalks (unfortunately) and it definitely makes for a bumpy ride. I don't think it actually impacts my baby very much, but I do feel it as I'm pushing. It just means that I have to push a little harder to get around the uneven patches. Not a dealbreaker by any means and this is definitely not be an issue on smooth sidewalks or roads.

Overall, I am happy and satisfied with the Tayla Modular Stroller because it fits out city needs, looks fantastic, and it has the ability to grow with us. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller!

Compelling Stroller with Thoughtful Features
By Dad 3.

on February 23, 2021
The Maxi Cosi Tayla Modular Stroller was pretty easy to assemble, so within about 10 minutes of its unboxing, it was ready for my little one.

The stroller definitely looks and feels premium. The black metal frame and foam tires provide a smooth ride and seems ready for years of heavy use. The navy blue fabric shade, leather handlebars (for parent and child) and soft seating surface combine for a stroller that looks good and feels plush. The one-handed fold takes a little practice and coordination. I still prefer this folding method because with practice it can be done with one hand a little faster than comparable strollers can be done with two hands. Little extras like an included cup-holder and rain shield are also appreciated.

My daughter's favorite feature (and therefore my favorite feature) were the 2 textured steps included in the stroller frame. With the seat in our preferred forward-facing configuration, my 20 month old loved being able to easily climb into the seat. I also really liked the 360 shade. The beauty of this shade is it protects my little one's eyes (no matter how far back she's reclined!!) while still allowing her to see the world as we walk around. Other stroller's have sun shades that have far less coverage and are more akin to closing your eyes, while this is more like putting on a pair of nice sunglasses.

The one concern I have is how well some of the soft materials (shade, seat surface) will hold up to long-term use. In the couple of weeks I've had it a thread is coming up on the seat and the plastic rod inside the 360 shade poked through its cover. Thankfully these issues haven't affected the functionality at all.

Overall this is a compelling stroller that is easy to recommend. The smooth ride, comfortable seat, 360 shade, and included steps make this my daughter's favorite stroller which is the true test for any baby gear I get.

Very Sleek Stroller
By Khudson

This stroller is very sleek and eye catching. Assembly was a breeze and very intuitive. The aesthetic details like leather wrapped handles and high end fabrics are easily noticed and appreciated. I'm a huge fan of the 360 breathable shade that easily zips away as needed...it clearly discourages people from trying to touch or handle my baby especially during this pandemic. This stroller is best suited for paved sidewalks or mall cruising as it was a pretty bumpy ride for my little guy when used on uneven surfaces. All adjustments like recline and handle height are smooth and simple. I quite like the simple foot brakes that are flip flop friendly and quick to deploy. My only complaints are that it lacks any high small storage compartments to stow keys, wallet,or phone that can be grabbed while pushing the stroller. The cup holder is also useless in its placement and function as my coffee just rattled around in it and it was mostly in the way when folded or storing. Overall, a beautiful stroller and very functional. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this product in exchange for my honest review.

Sleek, smart, and easy!

I am in love with this stroller! Not only does it look nice, it functions smoothly!

I received this stroller as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My enthusiasm for this stroller started when I unboxed the product and put it together. It literally snaps together. It was so easy!

Once I assembled it and started using it with my toddler, I fell in love with it even more. One of my favorite things about the stroller is the detachable front bar. It made loading and unloading my child so easy; I didn't have to guide her legs around the bar to get her in or out. She loves sitting in it, too, and I think its because she is seated a little higher off the ground than other strollers we have used.

It can be so frustrating holding a wiggly child while trying to set up a stroller for them, but with the one-handed fold on the Tayla Modular Stroller that frustration is a thing of the past. I was able to pull out the stroller with a surprising amount of ease. The 360 shade was also very easy to use, and we will be using it quite a bit when the weather is nice!

The stroller is a smooth ride, and the push handle is really comfortable for my hands. The only thing I would offer criticism on the Tayla stroller is the cup holder. I think it would function fine with lightweight cups or bottles, but I did not have full confidence in it while using it for my stainless steel water bottle.

We have happily made the Tayla Modular Stroller our go-to stroller. It fits in the back of our car nicely, and the storage space under the seat is fantastic! I also really appreciate that there is one pedal to lock the wheels, and then the other pedal unlocks them. They have really thought of every detail to make operating this stroller so easy! Other caregivers will enjoy using this stroller with your little one, too.

Nice stroller but difficult to open and close
By PhillyMama
from Philadelphia
on February 22, 2021
This is a nice stroller, and I loved that it came with all the accessories included - a built-in privacy cover which will be wonderful to keep mosquitoes away, a rain shield, and a cup holder. The finishes are premium, and the seat was very comfortable for my child. It was very straightforward to assemble out of the box, and the seat attachment was very easy to use making it easy to switch the seat from forward facing to rear facing and vice versa. I loved the one foot lock-and-release pedals vs most stroller where you have to lock and unlock each wheel independently. However, I found it awkward and difficult to open and close. With some practice, I finally got used to closing it, but opening it remained a challenge. The same button is used to adjust the handle bar height as to open the stroller. I found myself with the handle bar fully extended and yet the stroller was only halfway open; I had to awkwardly bend over and push it the rest of the way open to get it to "click". With enough practice, I can probably master this but it is still challenging after a couple weeks. I also found it bulky when folded; it would take up a substantial portion of my SUV trunk, and more than my other stroller by another brand. I also could not fold it flat with the seat rear-facing. I had to either remove the seat or turn the seat around to have it fold flat. I also don't think the basket will be adequate if we use it for day-long excursions with a large diaper bag, and I didn't love the plastic wheels and would have preferred rubber wheels. I will use it for walks around our neighborhood so I can keep it open and in our garage, but I will sticking with our other stroller with a much easier open and close for in my car. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

Beautiful, functional stroller
By MamaAJ

The Tayla Modular Stroller is a dream. I really love the look as well as the quality materials and sturdy feel. The reversible seat and recline positions allows for a lot of versatility and the ability to grow well with the child. The seat itself is very comfortable and sits fairly high off the ground which gives the child a nice view as well as allows easy access to the large storage basket (huge perk)! The privacy canopy is pure genius and very unique to this stroller. The fold is easy and I appreciate that it stands on its own when folded. On the other hand, the unfold is quite tricky and even after some practice it still remains awkward. Overall my daughter loves it and I love it! The straps are easy to operate and she's all smiles while riding. My older kids are usually nearby begging for their turn. Smart features on a comfortable stroller
By BHS31
from Roslyn, NY
on February 22, 2021
I was incredibly excited to receive the Tayla Modular Stroller. My absolute favorite feature of this stroller is the extendable sunshade. There is a regular shade and then another one zips out from that one and covers the entire stroller. It's a smart function to have because you never have to remember to have an extra blanket to cover your child. Additionally, it functions as a bug net for the summer months. It's basically hidden unless your using it and never gets in the way.

The stroller itself is a bit bigger then I expected it to be. I was expecting it to be more of a travel stroller then an everyday stroller and take up less room in my trunk. It is however more compact compared to some other modular systems I've seen. I use it with the seat attachment because my daughter has outgrown of her infant car seat. The seat attachment does not need to be removed to fold it up which I'm very happy about and the one handed fold makes it a simple task to take in and out of the car.

Had I received this stroller while my daughter was still in a portable car seat and had to switch back and forth, Max Cosi makes it incredibly easy to swap the adapters. They are color coded so they don't get mixed up or stuck on the wrong side and they slide in effortlessly. However, I'm not sure how happy I would have been to have two sets of adapters. There are four extra pieces to keep track of and I can see they getting lost or misplaced.

It's worth mentioning that the entire stroller frame is very sturdy and the material is very soft. The additional seat padding is very soft and plush. The grey color seems a bit on the green side and I haven't decided whether or not I'm a fan of it as of yet. My daughter however was a fan of riding in it. It reclines easily and she was comfortable in it

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this stroller.

Stylish and Comfortably but Clumsy and Heavy
By KBax
from Libby, MT
on February 22, 2021
As a travel nurse I try to look for products that fit multiple needs, are simple to use, and don't take up too much of our precious little space. A beautifully designed stroller the Maxi-Cosi Tayla Modular Stroller is a simple and cleanly designed stroller. The stroller was a fairly simple assembly with no extra tools need to snap everything into place. Functionally, the stroller is very comfortable for my 12-month old son especially with the large canopy and sun shade which we used to help keep wind out of his face and warmth inside while walking during the winter. You should be careful when storing the sun-shade as the zipper catches it and I almost ripped a hole in mine our first time using it. The wheels are not the best, however, the front wheels don't swivel so turning it is awkward, there is not much suspension so walking down a dirt or gravel road was very bouncy, recommended for in town/sidewalk use only, and there is not a lot of tread so it would slip a lot with snow/ice. The brakes worked as they should and were easy to use. The 'One Handed Collapsing' sell of this is a bit deceiving though, you have to hold a slide latch while pushing a button and the entire process is a bit clumsy especially if you are alone and holding a struggling toddler. It's more of a one-hand and one-foot fold and unfold design. It also takes up a lot of space, almost the entire hatch space of my Rav4 and is heavy. My favorite part was that that I could turn the seat around to face me for a nap time walk; while my son really liked to face forward or recline for when he was awake and we were walking. Changing the configuration was so simple I could switch it up while out walking to fit what was happening. My son really enjoys riding in this stroller but I don't necessarily enjoy pushing him in it due to the wheel trouble. I was given this stroller to try as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great does it all stroller, lots of great details!
By Momaha

This is a great stroller if you're looking for something that is super versatile and comfy for your little one. The stroller is very lightweight and easy to use - it has a super easy one hand fold and even stands on its own (never underestimate this luxury in a stroller - I cannot live without a self-stand stroller!). I love that it has leather accents and looks very sleek as well. I was surprised and SO HAPPY that it not only comes with a rain cover, but also the bug shield/privacy shield ZIPS OUT OF THE CANOPY - SO SO COOL! Never forget the bug net again!

I found that this fits in my Subaru Forester very easily with plenty of room for other stuff in the trunk as well - something I definitely cannot say about a lot of modular strollers that I have tried.

This stroller also comes with a cup holder and an easy to remove double sided seat cushion. It's supposed to heat/cool your child, but I honestly think these are also great for just cleaning up messes - just throw it in the washing machine, no need to hose down the entire stroller.

I deducted one star only because my (admittedly very tall) 19 month old is at the very end of this stroller and he (and me!!) are still very much enjoying strolling around the neighborhood. I wish the canopy part extended or was a little bit taller so that he could still use it comfortably.

Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this stroller to us to test it out. While it's not a great fit for our family, I can't wait to pass this along to a close friend who is expecting - the fact that you can very easily use this with a carseat and then as a stroller is amazing.

Pretty, Lightweight, Easy Stroller
By MTL
from Philadelphia, PA
on February 22, 2021
This is a beautiful, lightweight, and versatile stroller. I like that it allows your baby to sit upright or recline, and face you or the world; it is always a nice option depending on the baby's mood at the time or where you are. In addition to the versatility, my little one definitely felt comfortable in the stroller! We stroll on city sidewalks so it is important that the ride is as smooth as can be. Moreover, we really need a lot of storage space and the storage basket offers just that! The stroller also folds easily and stores easily, which is nice because I often struggle with heavier weight strollers. While I love the capacity of the storage basket and the ease of strolling, my most favorite feature of this stroller might be the reversible seat cushion! I have not been able to test this out yet given the current cold temperatures, but my babe runs hot and cold so I just know this will be a nice option come the summer. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller!

Versatile and fun!
By Sbrucato

Tayla was extremely easy to assemble - just click the wheels and seat on and done! Comes with a rain cover and drink holder. First impressions were great - loved the handle and belly bar wraps, loved the red color, loved the versatile seat (littles can sit facing you, facing forward, and almost recline flat). Seat is nice and deep, nice cushioning. Little looked really comfy in it, and the 5 point harness is easy to secure and undo. Stroller is agile, lightweight, has a decent basket, and comes with a BUILT IN mosquito screen and full canopy! Love!! Pushes really well on floors and sidewalks, streets - went fine over grass to the playground but I wouldn't take this on an unpaved trail or long haul over soft, grassy terrain - though Tayla could probably handle it. Love that the wheels roll quietly and are not inflatable (no worries about a flat). Adjustable handlebar means my husband and I can both comfortable push, despite an almost 12inch height difference. Brakes are also great and flip flop friendly - it's 2 levers, push red down, brake. Push white down, brake is off. Only gripe is no matter how many times I tried to figure it out, folding and ESPECIALLY unfolding is a pain. It seems like it should be so easy but for whatever reason, I just can't get it to work for me without multiple tries and getting a little aggressive. Definitely couldn't do either holding baby. It does store compact, especially if you disconnect the seat and place it inside the chassis of the stroller when folded - also stands when folded, and it's pretty light! All in all, really enjoyed this stroller for walks around the neighborhood or in stores, etc. Looks really nice, comfy for mom and littles, and has lovable perks like the mosquito and rain covers that could be the deciding point to walk or not on days where having those things handy would make the decision. Thanks to the Steller product testing panel for letting us test this awesome stroller!

Beautiful and stylish

This is all around a great stroller. It is beautiful and stylish. I love the faux leather touches and fabric. All of the finishes are super sleek. The recline function and footrest adjustment were smooth and easy to use. Baby loved being able to face either me or look out at the world. My absolute favorite feature is the full coverage canopy with sun screen that comes all the way down and fully seals around the bottom of the seat. I really look forward to using this feature in the summer when the bugs are out to get us! While we didn't have an opportunity to use the rain shield, it is nice that it's included and it does fit and attach nicely over the entire stroller. We also didn't use the infant car seat attachment, but it is very nice that they were included. The one hand fold is not the easiest to maneuver, this is really my only complaint and the reason for not giving a full five stars. You have to squeeze a button with your fingers while sliding another button with your thumb and use your foot to push or pull the basket to open or close. And the function is not smooth. I'm hoping it gets smoother over time as it gets worn in. In any case, it is a full sized (read: heavy) stroller, so both hands are free when I fold and unfold the stroller because it definitely takes both hands to put it in and out of the car. The basket underneath is sturdy and a good size, and best of all it's easy to get to. We filled it with diaper bag and shopping bags and coats and it held up nicely. The adjustable handlebar height is great for the tallest moms (I'm 5'10" and didn't even need it as high as it could go!) I also totally love that all four wheels are easy on and off with the press of a button for smaller trunk storage or squeezing into a travel bag for checking on a plane. Thanks so much to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the Tayla Modular stroller for my review.

Great looking stroller with some downsides
By JRae
from Colorado Springs, CO
on February 19, 2021
This stroller had some great upsides: is really good locking - it would definitely catch someone's eye when out and about. It's roomy, my 18 month old daughter in the 90th percentile fit comfortably with some room to grow. The fabric was really great quality. I loved the sheer screen that folded up so you could see your child when it's facing outwards - it's a fairly large screen and love that it's not plastic. Really appreciated that the stroller could face in or out and that it could recline for nap time. The ride seemed smooth on pavement.

Although all the above mentioned seems great, I did run into several issues with this stroller that made me second guess the value considering the price tag. First of all - the stroller came in pieces, no big deal I thought, but the directions were lacking and it was VERY confusing to assemble, which made it take quite a while. In addition to that, I could not and still struggle with the release mechanism, I cannot figure out how to get the stroller to pop up or fold down without fighting with the "slide this latch and push this latch" concept - it is far from one hand and takes me at least 10 frustrating minutes to setup or break down. This thing is also a major lint magnet - if you have animals like I do - it'll be all over the black fabric in an instant. Since I was unable to get the stroller to pop up correctly and was never sure if it was actually popped up - it closed several times while my daughter was in it, definitely scary.

Overall - for the value, I'd assume much less of the issues mentioned above. Though - there are good things about this stroller, I'm not sure I'd purchase another.

I received this stroller through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

A Smooth Ride for Your Little Love
By RachelH
from Alexandria, VA
on February 19, 2021
As a mom of two under five, I've tried my fair share of premium strollers. We have one for everything -- the one that fits easily in the car, the one for rough terrain, the one for around town, the one for walks in the neighborhood. The Maxi Cosi Tayla Modular Lightweight Stroller seems to fit the bill for most any occasion. While it weighs three pounds more than the stroller we've been using most frequently for the last few years, it folds and maneuvers more easily. I do prefer the rubber tires of my other strollers to the plastic wheels of this one, but so far the only issue has been that the plastic wheels are a bit louder than our others. The seat seems incredibly comfortable, and the harness is far superior to my other, more expensive stroller. The 360° MaxShade mesh privacy shade is a huge benefit, and again superior to my other favorite stroller. I'm sure I'll be using this one more and more as the weather warms up to protect my toddler from the sun on long walks. The cupholder is also a nice addition for this coffee-loving mom! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller!
