This is a very sturdy built pack n play. It is heavier to handle and a bit cumbersome to carry, though. I purchased this for my daughter's first child, to be used in their small apartment; no room for a crib, and as they will be moving when baby is 8 weeks old, need the convenience. The colors and design are classic and will go great with the decor my daughter has chosen for my first grandbaby!

We absolutely love this playard! My son is now 10 months and we have used this almost every day. The playard has been able to "grow" with our son. The infant napper was ideal when he was small. Our son now naps comfortable in it every single day. The quality is first class and the fabric is extremely soft. The cover zips off for washing which is such a nice feature! This playard is sturdy and I feel like my son is always safe in it. Chicco makes great products and this is another wonderful one. You will be happy with this purchase!!

Great do-it-all for traveling with our newborn

We are so pleased with the Chicco playyard. After doing a trip recently with a borrowed travel crib, we noticed what a pain it was to change diapers on the bed/floor when not at home. This bed does and has it all, at a great value for the price. Bought one to keep at our parents home so we can use that when we come to visit, making it even easier for us to pack less while on the road.

I bought this for my granddaughter that lives with me. As the newer play yards are very different than what I had for my children, I didn't know quite how to get the sides to stay up. Once I talked to someone that already had one, it was really easy! I am writing the below because I saw several reviews that mention having trouble...

The key here is to make sure that you have the bottom raised enough. If the sides won't click into place (or collapse) then you don't have inside right. Check the center support and also there are short pull straps for the bottom of each side. Also you can feel where the bottom of sides fold, there should be kind of a U shape not a V shape.

I know that this may sound complicated or unnecessary. However, it is for the safety of the child and makes the play yard more durable. It should last through many years of use.

Another feature that I want to point out is the removable slats in the mattress. Makes washing the mattress soo easy! Take it from someone that remembers the old styles. An absolute must for when baby spits up or has a dreaded blow out!

Just what we wanted

I didn't give 5 stars because we haven't used it yet...However, as we're preparing and awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild we purchased some essential items we felt needed for when our granddaughter is here and this fit the bill perfectly. It provides an infant sleeping table, but you can remove the sleeping table and but in a mattress and use as crib and for when the child is bigger you can remove the insert and use as a play yard. The changing table (also removable) can be hung along-side for when you need it, is nice so the baby doesn't have to sleep along-side the changing table.It seems sturdy and was pretty simple to put together. The one drawback, which is probably a drawback for all play yards, it takes up a bit of room and isn't easily stored away for the times your not using it, unless you want to take it down and put it up whenever your grandchild visits.This should it's purpose for years to come.

Everything about this is not good, mobile it very cheap plastic. Changing table does not go together right. Legs on bouncer are always stuck open. Can only get 2 legs to fold close on the main pin to store away. Very poor quality and poor instructions, don't waste your money.

I'm completely in love with this play yard, the design is simple which is just what I wanted because most play yards are way too colorful. The mattress is also a lot thicker than I expected. Can't wait for baby to try it out in April.

We have this play yard as well as another brand, and I prefer this one much more. Although we did not make much use of the infant napper, I love that this play yard has the storage compartment as well as the changer and bassinet feature. Our older son used this as a play yard and porta crib. He slept comfortably while on vacation. More recently our second baby slept in the play yard bassinet for the past two months in our bedroom. The cover for the pad zips off so you can wash it, a feature our other play yard does not have. While it is heavy because of all of its features, this play yard is very sturdy. In particular, the changer feels secure because it latches in the front and back onto the play yard unlike others that flip down and are supported by only one side. I would definitely recommend this play yard.

Great Features and Mutli-Use

I used this playard for my toddler to sleep in last weekend when we were away and he slept just as good as he does at home in his crib. The playard has plenty of space and the fabric is soft and comfortable. I am also excited to use the napper feature and changing feature when my twins arrive in June. I think this will be perfect to keep on our main floor to use for naps and diaper changes instead of always having to go upstairs. The side storage is perfect for keeping diapers, wipes and cream. The multi-uses of this playard make it a necessity when having children.

Lots of uses!

Love all the features! It's great to have set up on our main floor, as it will serve as our primary changing table and napper. Product seems sturdy and very well made, although the mobile itself is very basic. Size is perfect and I can see myself using this for years to come. Cons: trying to get everything back in the bag and overall weight of the bag when everything is in.

Will never fold again.

Folding mechanism is the worst designed thing I've ever seen. After pulling up on the handle for 15 minutes I finally got one side to fold. I'm throwing this away instead of donating it to charity because I wouldn't wish owning this item on my worst enemy.

It Does It ALL!

I bought one for my son so he could sleep in my bedroom his first few months....well he's 10 months now and he still isn't in his crib in his own room because he loves his amazing "play yard" although all he does, for now, is sleep in it. It saved us having to buy a changing station. It saved us all separation anxiety too soon because he fits so nicely in my room. But my favorite feature of all....THE REMOTE CONTROLLED MUSIC AND VIBRATION BOX! If he wakes up in the middle of the night I don't leave my cozy bed I just hit the remote and everyone is back to sleep! I bought this play yard for my best friend too!

This is a very well made play yard. It is easy to put together and take apart. The materials feel high quality as does the mattress. I like the ease of washing the mattress as well. The changing pad attachment is very easy to take on and off, and unlike other play yard brands, there is no sag so baby stays where you place him. The side pockets are convenient for diapers, wipes and creams. My only complaint is that the bassinet attachment does not stand alone like other play yards. You can only use it the way it is pictured. We were hoping for a seat for baby separate from the crib. We bought this to stay at my parent's place when we visit, and it functions very well for that. We are able to fold it up and put it in the carry case so that it doesn't take up too much space in their home.

I bought this particular play yard (in Elm) because it has a washable mattress pad AND it had the best price anywhere. I didn't mind that the color combo of green and brown aren't my first choice since it was such a good deal. I put it together today (7 months pregnant!) and everything was included as described on the website description. Descriptions are NOT MISLEADING at all. It had a "bassinet" which is the mattress pad secured to about 10" from the top of the play yard, changing station, toy bar, remote control, nightlight/sound machine. Everything easily fit (toggles, snap buttons, zippers) together so assembly was a breeze and straight forward. The only challenging part for me was collapsing the play yard but hubby was able to do it for me. It was easy to put everything back in its carrier bag too. Glad I went with this brand and product. Top quality!

I absolutely LOVE this playard! This is my sixth Chicco product, and once again I am thoroughly impressed with the quality, the design, and the many thoughtful features added to make life easier for busy moms. I love this playard, it's colorful, and cute! It's very comfortable, the changing station is awesome. Bunch of pockets for storage. The only thing I don't like is the vibration from the electronic element because it's too loud and rough and my baby won't sleep if I have the vibration on. Also the melodies eont last long, but other than that I love everything else about it. My baby loves the little animals on the toy bar, and he sleeps long naps in it :) I highly recommend this product :)

I am getting so much help from this product on handling my infant baby. This is my second one so I forgot a lot about how I did with my first one, but as soon as I set up this product in the room, I naturally knew what to do with my baby. It has plenty room for me to change diapers, and is very comfy for my baby to sleep and play inside. It also has the diaper station right next to it for convenience. Very easy to set up and fold back, and it makes easy to move around. I LOVE this product.

Love that the changing table goes to 25lbs

I researched a lot of these products and this was the only one I found where you can use the changing table for up to 25lbs. This is awesome because I have a heavier baby and it's nice to not have to put her on the floor or on a couch to changer. Her grandparents got her one and I liked it so much that I am buying another for our house.

Misleading titles

I purchased this as it was a good price, I ever returned my brand new graco one for this. The Model is lullaby LX. There are other models called lullaby LX but come with different features. I wanted to have a napper for my newborn, but this one does not come with it although it does describe it coming the a bassinet. Other than that the playard is terrible to assemble. Its simple but time consuming. I would have much rather of kept my Graco model but they want to charge me an arm and a leg to return this thing because of shipping. Avoid this model. Do yourself a favor and get a Graco if you have a newborn and will be taking this thing travelling at all.

Love but still slightly disappointed...

I bought this the week it hit shelves because I love Chicco products and I especially loved this color. Everything was perfect except when I put it together I realized the mobile doesn't wind up or do anything. For as much as I paid I thought it would do something. I should have shopped a little more but I didn't thing twice because of the name. Other products in or around this price range have mobiles that spin and play lullabies.

Perfect for my first grandbaby!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She is due Christmas week with my first grandbaby, so EXCITED! She just got this set up in their bedroom, plans to use it as the bassinette and believes she will love the infant napper. She says it is SO SOFT. Also, they have a trip booked for Spring Break to Colorado and she says she is definitely taking this with them, will be perfect for the baby. I had previously taken her to pick out a car seat at Babies R Us early in her pregnancy so I could have a custom tent cover made and after much testing and playing with the models she chose Chicco for her car seat, so I knew she would be happy with a Chicco playard for a Christmas gift for Baby Raina and Chicco did not disappoint :)
