Waste of Money

I have been using this for the past 4 months. To start with it is difficult to put together as the fabric seemed to be a bit too small for the frame and the stitching ripped a little as I had to force it on. In use it is OK but the hood doesn't stay up properly. In addition it is tricky to take off the frame as you have to push both levers down at the same time as lifting it up and this is not easy to do. Especially if your child is still in it!My son has just turned 4 months old and is almost too big to fit inside it now. His arms touch the sides and there is only about 5cm space above his head and below his feet. He's a fairly average sized baby. As a result I decided to try turning it into the parent facing seat. After I had taken it apart and started putting the new fabric on I noticed a warning saying that it was not suitable for children under 6 months old (despite being informed by e-mail that it would be fine for my son as long as he has good head control, which he does). I have tried it out on the frame and it looks very flimsy and like it won't be very comfortable. In addition there is a fiddly safety strap you have to do up, which will have to be redone every time it's used as you can't fold the frame with the seat on. I'm not quite ready to have him facing away from me yet so I guess I will have to turn it back into the cot...Overall I wish I hadn't spent the extra money on this (and a rain cover) and I wish I'd gone for the soft one instead.

Poor mattress and cover design

I bought the carry cot as my daughter hated her capsule while in a pavlik harness. We love the carry cot and she sleeps so well in it. However the other day we had a poonami and it went into the mattress cover. I was really disappointed with the design of the cover and how difficult it was to remove. In the process I have broken the mattress in two. I presently have no idea how I'm going to get the mattress back in the now clean cover so can't use the carry cot.

Carry Cot Plus - Great with a few minor Flaws

For the price this is a great addition to to the MB Swift, however the addition of a couple of zips or attachments to keep the hood and carrycot cover securely in place would not go a miss. Easy to assemble, but like most instruction manuals these days a few words would be helpful. Like the swift the frame is sturdy (and seems better than some premium buggies/prams) and great quality but the quality of the material let's it down slightly. Great that the carry cot can turn into a rear facing seat so you have a highly recommended feature of premium priced buggies. Still awaiting the baby to be born so have not used the carrycot plus yet.

Useful attachment

I received a mb swift second hand and was disappointed that it didn't have a parent facing option. Then I found this attachment! Bassinet is great. Unfortunately I had a bigger baby so she didn't fit in the bassinet very long, it is on the narrow side of bassinets out there. So i changed to the parent facing mode at 3 months, especially since she started to want to look out at everything. I didn't realise that this next attachment still layer flat. Not very impressed with that. Wish it could inline a little bit so she is sitting up and looking out. So she isn't even 4 months old and will be going into the big seat within the next month. A bit of a waste of money to only get 4months use out of.

why not a flat position for parent facing seat??

We were very happy with our swift carrycot until now, when our baby is 2 months old. He has 5 kg weight and 59 cm height and the carrycot has become very narrow and short for him, so we are pretty sure that we cannot wait until he is 5-6 months old to use the parent facing seat. In fact we wonder if we could use it until he is 3 months old !!! Moreover, the parent facing seat has only one position and the baby cannot lay flat. I would recommend this product if the carrycot would be a little bit bigger or if the parent facing seat would have a flat position option.

Purchased with our Mountain Buggy swift and have been pleasantly surprised with how much use we've got out of it. Our baby is two months old and we've used the bassinet most days since bringing her home - either for walks or day sleeps downstairs at home. It's nice and cosy, and good quality. It takes some assembly at first and then to become the parent-facing seat will need to be disassembled and re-built (not complex but more fiddly than we expected).

Absolutely LOVE our MB swift with carrycot plus! The swift is so light, easy to manoeuvre through shops as well as around our Mountain streets, and it is also easy to fold into our small car boot. Our daughter has loved lying in the carrycot in all its forms, and it was so nice to have her looking at me face to face as we walked around in the early months. She slept well in it as very comfy and cosy, and the carrycot was great for the very early months where we could easily take it with us anywhere for her to sleep in. We also received many comments on our lovely pram also! Highly recommend.

I bought this a month ago I really love haveing it while he's little I like how it's easy to take on and off and my baby can stay sleeping in it. One thing that I didn't like is that the hood falls down all the time. I've had to attach something to stop this. This product would be great if the hood is designed differently and can lock in place

Disappointed

Hi, I ordered this carrycot plus to go onto my swift. Sadly it was a disappointment. The carrycot is really narrow. The seat unit is a great idea but lacks a decent hood and has no recline option. Gutted as this could be a really good product with a few tweaks.

My parents bought this just in time for the arrival of our little boy, he is currently three weeks old and its safe to say we are in love with the swift carrycot!!! I love the versatility it provides, as he enjoyed being in the carrycot with the recline mode at first, and now we are changing it to the flat position. We're also very excited to use the parent facing seat once he's a bit bigger!! We use the carrycot along with the capsule and capsule clips, I love how easy it is to switch between the two, the only thing I would say is the clips can be a little tricky to line up, easy enough to do, you just need to take a little time to line up each side. We love the swift carrycot and will definitely be recommending it to others :)

We brought the swift and carry cot combo. Love how for the first 6 month our baby can lie flat and facing us. Also love that it doubles as a 2nd bed. When visiting friends and baby needs a nap we just pop him in the carrycot on the floor and bam, fast asleep. Not so please with the hood as living in Wellington its a bit windy so can flap up at the back exposing baby head (not great when this wakes baby up). The vouco around the front of the hood comes undone and very tricky to replace. Baby is now 6mo and we are using the face to face seat which is a great free extra

Love this Buggy!

We've been using this buggy for about two months now and couldn't be more pleased! We purchased the stroller, as well as the carrycot. We absolutely love the carrycot for our newborn - it's a modern version of those adorable British prams, but at s much more affordable price. The baby can stretch out and relax, rather than being strapped into a car seat carrier all the time (it's a nice break for her). I also love that the carrycot converts into a seat that faces the parent - so versatile! We've received so many compliments!
