Summer Infant View Safe Color Video Monitor

Perfect,. We have the other video monitors and love them. This one gives us more flexibility and time with the older sibling during the baby's nap time.

This monitor and camera was very easy to setup. We can take the monitor anywhere in the house (upstairs, downstairs, etc.) without losing any picture quality or sound. It is probably not the best monitor in the world as far as video quality (especially in night vision mode) however it gives me piece of mind to be able to check on her visually. I can certainly make our her features and what's happening in the crib but its not HD, nor is that required. It saves me from having to get up from bed a few times a night and walk into the nursery. The sound works well, when baby cries I know right away. Sound can be adjusted on the site (there are 4 level options). The video can be turned off on the monitor to save power when using on battery and quickly restored by pressing the video button at the top. The only thing I had to get used to was pressing the power button for three seconds to turn the monitor on, that seemed a bit strange and unnecessary feature.

We purchased this monitor to use on weekends at our lake house, so we knew we were buying a lower quality product because we wanted a lower price. The audio works great and the range for the monitor is as good as the nice Summer Infant BabyTouch 2.0 monitor we currently use, and LOVE, in our home. We knew the camera didn't pan/zoom, but we were hoping the quality of the picture display on the monitor would be good enough to overcome that. Unfortunately, the quality of the camera at night is very poor. We kept the monitor anyway because it was still functional and we didn't want to pay more for another camera. If we were going to use this more than a couple of nights per month, we would have returned it for the Summer Infant monitor we have in our home now.
