Recaro Euro Convertible Car Seat - Dakota

I love this car seat. My cousin told me about it. I have one in my car for my son and purchased another one for my husband.

I bought this for my grandson who is two. It stays in my car, a Toyota Camry. It's big but forward facing does not impair the passenger seat in front.It is easy to install, as good as carseats can be! It is comfortable for him. The little pad around the crotch buckle falls off so I leave it off. the only annoying thing is the metal buckles that fit into the front crotch buckle fall down to the sides. They slide down with nothing to stop them. so each time you are digging down by the childs hips to find the silver inserts. If they had a stop button on them, like a seat belt, they would not slide out of reach. I felt this was a good price. I guess the catch is, it was made in Dec 2011 so it's already a year old when I got it and if you follow the 6 year rule, we lost a year already. (hence the sale). It also sits up high and he can see better. I put a little step stool in the back floor for him to step up on, to prevent me lifting him. Because of the height, he couldn't crawl in like my old seat. Also the straps do not flip or tangle easily, that is good.
