Great Compact Stroller
August 25, 2010
This is my 3rd Graco stroller in the last 5 years. Our first stroller was a Quattro Tour Deluxe single stroller. It was really great and had all the bells and whistles. Our next baby came along a year later and we moved to the Quattro Tour Duo Deluxe stroller. You couldn't beat the features this stroller had. Now that our two babies are 4 and 3, we were back to needing a single stroller. Because I've had top of the line strollers I was really picky in what I was looking for. I really love the metrolight stroller, especially for the price. The stroller has the same seat adjustment as the two more expensive strollers did. You pull up on a metal bar and it unlatches and moves to the next position. Some of Graco's other lightweight strollers have a strap adjustment that I thought was really cheap. This one did not have that. The other feature that is really great is the basket that lowers. This is good for backpack type diaper bags that are bulky. Lastly, my new Snugride 35 clicks right into the stroller. I wasn't sure if it would because the description didn't specifically say it would, but, it fits! I'm very, very happy with this stroller.
Pros
  • Lots of higher-end features.
  • Easy steering.
  • Adjustable parent handle.
Cons
  • Seat doesn't seem to lay as flat as it could.

so happy with this stroller!
July 19, 2010
I bought this stroller towards the end of 2009. I had originally purchased the Quattro Tour travel system from BRU and the stroller was so big that I couldn't fit it in the trunk of my car. I have a 2-door car, so I had to keep it behind the driver's seat whenever I wanted to use it. I searched for weeks to find a mid-size light weight stroller. I couldn't believe that I found a Metrolite for so cheap in such a great color. It looks even better in person. The green is a little more olive than it is lime, but it's a beautiful color and I love that the rest is brown. When it was delivered, I had to assemble most of it, but it was very simple. There are two parent cup holders and a great tray for the child with 2 snack holders and a cup holder. The basket is a great size - it didn't seem any smaller than the large basket on the Quattro Tour. The only downside is that the wheels have to be turned a certain way to fold it up, but that wasn't an issue for me. For the price and functionality of the stroller, turning the wheels everytime you fold it up is hardly a reason to turn away from product. I also LOVE that the handle folds under for storage. As the other reviewer stated, there is still some bulk to this when folded, but even in my very small car, I have a ton of space. I have a 2-door (clown car!) Ford Escort and can fit this stroller, an umbrella stroller, pack n play, travel booster seat, a suitcase, and a bunch of toys. Need I say more? I would recommend this stroller to anyone and I couldn't be happier that I gave it a chance.
Pros
  • 1. 2 parent cup holders
  • 2. Child snack tray with 2 holders and cup holder
  • 3. Large basket
  • 4. Folding handle
  • 5. Three-position recline (may not seem like enough, but it's perfect)
  • 6. The COLOR - the brown is great and the green is better than pictured; great for a boy or girl
  • 7. LIGHT-WEIGHT!!!!
  • 8. Canopy is large - on other strollers I've had to use the Protect-A-Bub canopy to extend it
  • 9. Fabric is thick, but not hot.. it seems to breathe well and my son is very comfortable in this stroller even in the middle of summer

Love this stroller! Great Value
June 20, 2010
The first one I received was damaged in shipping, but Albee was great and sent out another after I called them. We bought this stroller specifically for two upcoming Disney World trips. My son just turned three and is pushing the weight limit of several of the lighter weight strollers, but he can use this one up to 40 pounds. The Metrolite weighs 18 pounds and this model (Soho) is substantially less expensive than the other lightweight strollers with similar features that we looked at. We used it in the airport and checked it at the gate. We used it on trains and trams. My son sleeps in it when we take walks at home, but wouldn't at WDW (too much action, I guess). It also has lots of storage room for our stuff and cup holders for everyone. We bought a Britax stroller to go with our car seat when my son was first born. I wish we had had the Metrolite then. The Britax folds up a bit smaller and is probably a little lighter, but the Metrolite is easier to maneuver (I used one hand in the airport), fold up, it has three recline positions. It also stands up on its own when folded and the handle folds down if you need it to, to fit in smaller spaces. My often resisted being put in his other stroller, but he is usually agreeable to riding in the Metrolite. Sometimes he even tries to get in it to eat his snacks if it's unfolded and open at home. You can remove the canopy, seat cover and the basket and wash them. The green in the Soho is a little darker than the photo shows. But I like the actual color better than the photos. There are a coupled of demo videos on YouTube. Just search for "graco metrolite."I am SO glad we bought this stroller. We've used it for four months now and love it!
Pros
  • 1. Lightweight
  • 2. Good Value
  • 3. Comfortable for 3 year old son
  • 4. Nice canopy for shade
  • 5. Easy to steer
  • 6. Stands up on it's own when folded
  • 7. Two cup holders on handle tray--Another cup holder and snack bowl on the seat tray
  • 8. Three seat recline positions
  • 9. Huge basket under seat can be accessed even when the seat is fully reclined.
Cons
  • 1. Wheels have to be straight to fold it. There's a bit of a trick to folding it. Now I just back it up in a straight line a foot or so and then fold it. It's not bad once you get hang of it.
  • 2. It's lightweight when folded, but does have some bulk.
  • 3. When it's folded anything in the basket falls out.
