Evenflo Triumph 65 LX Convertible Car Seat
June 5, 2012
I love this car seat. It was a little hard to install but once we got it figured out, it has worked out quite well. My son enjoys sitting up tall in this car seat.
Cons
  • The instruction manual that came with the car seat was not very helpful.

Sturdy seat, easy to use
June 3, 2012
This seat has already been in an accident and did its job perfectly...but really, so do all of them I'd imagine. It is a little bulky, but very comfortable. The tightening mechanism is great. The only negative I have is that there are no pads on the straps to go on either side of the child's neck, but that is a minor detail.
Pros
  • Confortable
  • Sturdy
Cons
  • Lack of shoulder pads

Great deal!

i needed 2 new car seats for my boys and after looking all over I decided on these and I have not been disappointed. they installed easy and after a day or two I really love the dial on the side for tightening and loosening. my older son loves his cup holder even if it does fall off occasionally. overall a great deal and my boys seem very comfy in them!

LOVE this car seat!
May 23, 2012
Love this car seat! My husband and I have 2 of these car seats in each of our cars. We bought a 5th one for my Mom so she can take our oldest daughter to and from school. Since our baby has out grown the infant seat we just purchased our 6th one! This one is also for Grandma's car. We received it in just a few days after placing the order. It was in perfect condition. No complaints here.
Pros
  • Rated one of 2 highest in safety by Consumer Reports.
Cons
  • Cup holders are cheap. They break easily and over all just don't work well. It surprises me that EvenFlo hasn't come up with a more durable cup holder.

Great car seat with one flaw
May 22, 2012
Great color, size, and comfort level. Color hides dirt and stains and is neutral for boy or girl. Large enough for plenty of growing room. Soft with cushions and head rest. One flaw is the self adjusting straps. Straps slide down so that when you try to put baby in the car, you need three hands: two hands to pull the straps back up and one to hold he baby. Since three hands is not the norm for most people (lol), it requires you to put baby in seat then try to reach behind them and pull the straps up. It's not impossible, but it's enough that I would not buy this style again. I love the car seat except for that. I have not investigated if they make this model with different straps. If so, I would buy that. Also, the price it pretty much unbeatable.

Fantastic
May 16, 2012
There aren't enough words to describe how much I love this carseat. My son is very comfortable, it fits nicely in the backseat of my Honda crv which has a small space but it fits with room to spare. I LOVE that the straps can be easily adjusted without having to take the whole thing out. Worth every penny! I wish I would have gotten this when my older son was a baby.
Pros
  • Everything especially the straps adjusting by the knob on the front sides. Luxurious as well.

Just a good as my Britax!
April 3, 2012
This carseat is certainly just as good if not easier to use in some ways than my Britax Marathon seat. All the adjustments to the belt straps can be made without removing the seat (or the child) which is the best way to get a good fit.
Pros
  • Well made, clean design and integrates nicely with my black interior.
Cons
  • The clips that fasten the seat to the loops in the seat of the car are difficult to unclip when the seat is in. The Britax has a nicer button system, while these are more like keychain hook clips. Not a huge deal, just kind of a pain to take out.

good seat, great price
March 19, 2012
We've only used this car seat in the rear facing position so far, so I am not sure about forward facing. To setup, I had to do some adjustments in order for the latch system to work in the rear facing position. It wasn't difficult if you followed the directions. Took me about 25-30 minutes total between changing the straps and putting the car seat in the car (and watching a baby, while he played in the box). The seat is a bit bulky and sits up high, which I like because the baby can almost see out the back window, yet it doesn't affect the drivers seat as bad (as far as pushing on the back of the seat). I did have to use a rolled up towel to help level the seat. When attaching it in the car, I sat in the seat and pulled to tighten the latch. It was very tight and didn't move. The only reason why I am giving this 4 stars is because, when in the rear facing position, it is a bit difficult to use the tighten and loosen knobs for the straps. There are knobs on both sides, which is nice, but they are towards the end of the car seat with smooshes into the actual car's back seat. So, when you try to turn the knobs your hand will hit the seat, making it difficult to make sure the harness is tight enough (wouldn't be problem forward facing). It just takes a bit longer to tighten, but not enough of a problem to say the seat sucks or wouldn't be worth the awesome deal! He seems very comfortable in it, as we have it reclined all the way, and with the help of the towel... he doesn't tip forward.
Pros
  • roomy and comfortable
  • height of straps are easy to adjust
  • consumer reports safety rating
  • comfy padding (and is removeable)
Cons
  • harness difficult to tighten in rear facing position

Not Bad
February 22, 2012
Love how big the seat is. GI'ves my lil man plenty of growing room and the reclinging is awesome. I don't like how the straps move, I always have to adjust them back up. I also dislike the loosing of the straps, it's really hard. I do like how he can see out so well and of course makes it better for us all in the car!
Pros
  • How big seat is
  • Plenty of growing room
  • How much it reclines
Cons
  • Strap adjuster
  • Hard to loosen the straps

Good Solid Carseat!
February 6, 2012
The Evenflo Triumph is working great for us so far. It has solid construction, and it was easy to install. The tension dial on the side for the harness makes it really easy to get our little girl in and out. I am definitely happy with it and would recommend it to others. The only thing I'd comment on is that it is technically rated for infants as small as 5 pounds. I used an infant car seat until my daughter outgrew it, and I'm glad I did. I can't imagine putting her in this when she was newborn! Mainly this is because even when it's rear facing, it doesn't recline very much. And it's a big seat. So before they have head control, I just can't imagine them fitting well in this, even with inserts.
Pros
  • * Tension knob for harness is fantastic!
  • * Solid and pretty straight forward to install.
Cons
  • * Doesn't seem well suited for newborns or babies without head control yet.
