Telescopic Linear Side-Impact Protection transfers the force of an impact to the seat's shell, where it is absorbed away from the baby.

This car seat was a breeze to install. It’s very sleek and attractive looking. I wish the canopy and the handle had more clearance. I feel like they scrape across more than I’d like. Otherwise, can’t wait to get a lot of use out of this seat!

Just purchased the cybex Aton Q infant car seat for my newborn, it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. You just need to know how to carry it. Also, it is compatible with multiple strollers (but you must purchase the adapters separately).

We overlooked the weight of the car seat due to the awesome safety features. If you have a kid that falls asleep in their car seat and you are able to shop with them in the car seat, then this would be a pain. It is heavy and then you add the weight of the child... would def. be a workout! I prefer to baby wear in the store and my kids never seemed to sleep in the car, so that was not an issue for us. We loved the added safety features so the weight was a compromise we were ok with. Super easy install and sharp looking seat... we always got compliments when we did manage to take it inside somewhere.

this is a premium and safe car seat. Consumer Reports ranks it as one of the safest seats out there. The base is rock solid with the load leg and was easy to install after reading the instructions. The seat itself is great to look at, comfortable for our baby, and has easily adjustable straps. I will be honest that it does take some getting used to in order to smoothly operate the carrying handle and stroller attachment. But once we figured out, it was easy. A mild nuisance for safety.

Nice but narrow

This is baby number four for us, so we know a thing or two about carseats. We specifically purchased this seat, along with two extra bases because of the reviews, loved the look and wanted only the best for our daughter. She is now just turning 4 months and only weighs 14 lbs. The seat is already extremely narrow in the shoulders and chest. There is no-way this could fit a child up to 35 lbs. We removed the infant insert and expanded the back, which only helped a bit. It was nice for the first few months, but quickly outgrown. It is so constricting in the shoulders our daughter cries every time we put her in the seat. If you are looking for a seat that will last you a little while, this is not the one.

This seat is gorgeous. It's fairly light and looks well made. I got the agis stroller to go with it and it looks like a more expensive stroller when you just attach the car seat to the frame, but it didn't cost $1000. I wanted to get the cloud version of this seat but it wasn't going to be out in time for my baby. But, his seat has a great, almost laying down position anyways, so I don't feel like I am missing out on anything now. Plus, the price was more reasonable for this version, and it has every safety feature you could ask for.

I love this car seat. It looks great both from a distance and up close. My baby loves it and he seems very snug and secure in it. It's also machine-washable which was a big plus for me.

  • It's a lot more difficult to tighten the straps than my previous Maxi-Cosi. You really have to pull hard to get it to tighten.

My husband and I decided on the Aton Q first for its safety and then style, which is just an added bonus. Our baby has not arrived just yet, but my husband had me trial putting the car seat in and out of the car with added weights. Kind of heavy, but manageable. Seems that clicking it into the base will take a little practice, especially without waking the baby. The base is very sturdy, and the safety checks help to ensure that the base is in correctly (level-green for good). Love the canopy and color of this seat. Looking forward to seeing our little girl in this seat soon!!

Best car seat out there. Can't beat this price! everywhere else is $349.99 specially when albeebaby doesn't charge you any shipping or taxes makes it a huge saving!!! I bought the stokke stroller and the adapters to put the cyber Aton Q and it look amazing. My husband said it looked like and out of space stroller.Really modern with the car seat.

I researched car seats for MONTHS and this one had the best safety ratings and it is gorgeous too! People always comment on it and my little on loves it! It is so easy to install and has many great functions that other carseats just don't have! Very high quality! We have yet to use our car seat since our baby isn't due until August, but my first impressions of the car seat are very positive. Initially we purchased the Combi Shuttle, but returned it almost immediately because it seemed cheaply made. Despite having a high safety rating on Consumer Reports, it wasn't for us. I went back on the car seat hunt and was drawn toward the Cybex Aton Q despite the hefty price tag. I finally broke down and purchased it, because you can't put a price on safety! The safety features were very compelling, and I love the capability of the European belt path since we do a lot of traveling. The fabric is fabulous and the canopy is high quality compared to every other car seat we looked at in stores. Overall I am very pleased and don't have any complaints. I hope our baby loves it as much as we do!

This car seat is top of the line. I did hours and hours of research and ended up spending the little bit extra for this seat. I am so glad I did. The extra features such as the load leg, 8-position, adjustable insert, xl canopy, and the L.S.P. System make this seat worth every penny. It can also be installed in the car with or without the base, which is a big plus in my book. Icing on the cake is how sleek and sophisticated it looks.
