Great stroller!
April 11, 2021
I have always been a fan of Chicco. We use this stroller almost daily for walks around the neighborhood. I like how it grows with my child from bassinet as a newborn to a regular stroller (facing me or forward). It also is easy to use as a frame for the Chicco infant seat. Overall very happy with my purchase.
Pros
  • Lots of configurations. Grows with your child.
Cons
  • It is big. If you have a small trunk it might not be the best fit.

Value for money, best for use on pavement or paved roads
July 3, 2020
The stroller has a solid built and it is easy to stow. My only concern is that the wheels do not have any grip and can feel like they do not have any traction. The stroller has easy front wheel locking mechanism which is great when you want to ensure the stroller doesnt turn off its path at any point.
Pros
  • Great price for the entire set
Best Uses
  • Walking in a park on a pavement
Cons
  • Quality of stroller wheel could be better

Great for everything you need!
April 6, 2020
I have been able to use this from new born stage to every approaching stage. Durable, safe and easy to use.
Basinet is an excellent space saver to use as a side sleeper and a portable diaper changing table. Wheels are great on rocky grounds and very stable. Storing in a vehicle and setting up is quick and easy.
Best Uses
  • Basinet is a real plus. Baby can sleep anywhere.

Really cute
March 30, 2019
I look around a lot of strollers and after all the investigations I decide to buy this one, no regrets, the bassinet function is so comfy, the infant car seat click really easy, the stroller is actually a little heavy but it’s worth it, you feel the good quality of the product, I love that the cup holder is on the side, personally I never like my baby having drinks or anything in front of him.
Customer Images
Pros
  • Good looking, good quality, really comfy, easy to snap.
Best Uses
  • My baby love to sleep in the bassinet when we walk around the house, and when we don?t want to take him out of the infant car seat we just snap it and he don?t even feel it
Cons
  • You need a big trunk in your car, because is pretty big

nice ride for baby, hard to open

I love the adjustable handle so even younger siblings are able to push baby. It is on the heavier side when opening and closing. Wish you were able to attach a parent and toddler tray.

It’s pretty but.....
November 26, 2018
It’s hard to handle, hard to open, wheels get stuck on the smallest thing on the ground. That being said it is a smooth ride for baby.LO seems very comfortable since birth, which is the only reason I kept it.

Not exactly as it seems
November 2, 2018
We loved the design and overal functions of this stroller. However it is not as convenient as one would hope. Taking out and putting away is a pretty cumbersome process. After 6 months the car seat adapter has started to wobble. When the car seat is in the stroller, or the bassinet, it is next to impossible to put the diaper bag underneath or get it out without removing the bassinet or carsest attachments. Don't hang a full diaper diaper bag on the handle, or the stroller is likely to tip, even with the weight of the baby and car seat (yes that happened - thankfully she was buckled in).

The color is awesome

Poor quality
October 27, 2018
I thought I did my research when buying this stroller. I actually bought 2 of them, one for my daughter in law and then one for me to use when my granddaughter is with me. The handle adjust up and down but it never stayed at one hight, the right side always collapses randomly. Come to find put there is a broken plastic piece inside the bar. Clearly a factory defect. My granddaughter didn't even get 6 months use out of the stroller and can't use it due to the safety issues. Now I'm back to doing research for a new stroller and it definitely will NOT be a Chicco brand stroller. I would think safety would be important.

Bulky, Doesn't Collapse, Zero Storage Space
March 13, 2018
I bought this a year ago and I cannot express how frustrating this design is. I was totally sold on the versatility of the 6 modes. I cannot believe this eclipsed all the design flaws. The bulkiness and large rear tires don't allow for smooth turning or maneuverability. There is ZERO storage space because the seat drop is TOO LOW so you cannot access. I once had to unclip my child, and remove the seat attachment to put items in the bin. And the bane-- I always have to carry ALL THREE PIECES SEPARATELY- frame, seat, and car seat, when I need to bring my carriage with me for long distance trips-- like the mall. (Sorry for the sarcasm). I wish there wasn't an upcharge for a system that would automatically collapse in one piece. It feels like Chicco is using my baby to manipulate me.

Not good for the city
February 25, 2018
This stroller is so big and bulky. I don't know why it's called Urban. I live in NYC and do not feel comfortable taking this stroller out on my own bc it feels really heavy to me whether you have the pram or car seat installed. We have to go up 2 flights of stairs just to get to the subway platform (no elevator at my stop) and I feel like we block the stairs completely; people can barely slink past us when my husband and I carry it on either end. I've thought about trying to collapse the stroller and carry it up on my own, but that would be a huge struggle as well. When I take the bassinet out, I can't carry it by just the handle bar bc of the way it's angled, my baby would be upside down, so I'd need to use 2 hands just for that. The car seat isn't easy either because then I have to carry the car seat and the car seat adapter up the stairs with the stroller! (The manual says not to fold it with the car seat adapter in.) When I do go to fold the stroller, I need 2 hands to push the buttons on either side of the stroller and then the handlebar clunks down on the dirty nyc streets, gross, or bangs up my legs or feet. And when I pick up the folded stroller, it doesn't stay compactly folded and starts to open. So cumbersome and yet, opening the stroller is a huge hassle as well. The cup holder is pointless too. I had a water bottle in it and when I rolled the stroller from the sidewalk curb to the street, the bottle popped out and fell in a puddle of mud! Like other reviewers noted, the storage basket below is pretty difficult to get stuff in and out of and it doesn't seem to hold very much even though it looks big. The stroller ride does seem smooth, but this is not practical for us. It takes up way too much space in our apt. I've only used it twice and am already looking into buying a different stroller.

Worse decision ever
November 27, 2017
I bought this stroller 3 months ago and it's the worse decision I've ever made! Wish there was a way for me to get my money back. The wheels are extremely heavy and sometimes hard to push, it is not very practical when using the car seat; in order to use it you ALWAYS have to travel with the car seat, the adapter and the stroller frame. The basket underneath is also very small. But hey it comes with a cup holder

For Great looks only
May 16, 2017
As a new mother i registered for this stroller. BIG Mistake. I didn't know allot other then what others told me. And at the time you think you're bringing home an infant and this is great because the car seat that doesn't come with it snaps in. However your baby does grow and soon enough will be sitting up on their own. and there is NO tray for your baby to put food or drink or toys ect. So on trips to market or zoo, walks wherever your baby is now just being able to sit there with nothing or if you do give them food or drink its going to be all over your stroller making a mess. there is a cup holder on the side that the child cannot reach. Besides this HUge inconvenience its hard to collapse and open. The look of this stroller is its only appeal it looks really nice and fashionable, modern. BUT this is not a functional stroller.

Versatile Stroller with Modern Style
May 4, 2017
FTM and have been researching strollers for a while. I love the Urban because it has the modern design of more expensive models but still has the reliability and price point of other great Chicco products. I love it converts from (adjustable) bassinet to front-facing stroller. Plus, it is compatible with the Chicco Fit2 car seat - between both products, we are set for the next few years. Agree with other reviewers that say it is heavy and a bit bulky, but we plan to have a more lightweight option for travel.

Since we are not finding out gender, we purchased an additional color pack (on major sale), which I would definitely recommend.

Great Stroller
May 4, 2017
I love the versatility of this stroller. I have a three year old and an infant and they both love riding in it. It's nice to be able to change the stroller to fit your needs. I have taken this stroller with me everywhere, from day trips to the city and walks in the park. It rides easy on grass and gravel. It's so easy to collapse and transport in a car. The large storage basket is incredibly handy for storage and the fabric is durable and easy to wipe clean. Overall, this stroller is well made and has the potential to last through multiple children. I wish I had it with my first!

I wish I'd gotten one of these strollers sooner. This is a great stroller! It's super easy to collapse and good for on-the-go, plus lots of options as baby grows. Storage basket below is perfect size. I have used it on a flat gravel trail near my house, and it performs just as well as on pavement. Fabric is durable and pretty. Only thing missing is cupholder for mom or baby. Overall, I would highly recommend!

We recently got our Chicco Urban Stroller and we are very pleased with it so far. We really like the durable 4 wheels, the handle bar extension to adjust to different pusher's heights, the bottle/cup holder, its smooth & lightweight design, as well as how easy it is to switch from carriage to stroller seat. We also felt that the baby bumper bar was a nice added safety feature. We would definitely recommend this product to others.

I bought thus for my daughter and i have take it.bsck to the store (this will be my second time). Becauae its made out of extremely cheap plastic.. 2 front wheels ALWAYS LOCK ON ITS OWN WHILE PUSHING! 3 u can't fold it while seat is on (which is not good for a small car) 4 it doesnt lock when u fold it down... it sucks becauae i LOVED the idea of the hand warmers and the cover over babies legs.
I highly recommend them fixing it with better quality and being able to fold while attached before i buy another one.

If your looking for a car seat I highly recommend doing the new kefit toddler one! Much safe and well padded same as the key fit air.

Some changes needed
October 8, 2016
I purchased this because of the versatility. On that front, it's delivers. I also love the look. However, there are three changes I would make to the product. 1. The foot brake. Did not realize what a bad design it was until I wore sandals. Unlocking it hurts your feet. 2. The car seat adapter. Why does it exist?? It's just one more thing you have to stuff in your trunk and build and uninstall over and over. My old britax bready had the car seat just clicked into the stroller no adapter needed. 3. The way this thing opens. Omg it just ALMOST needs two people and you can bet you will scratch the frame up on the pavement trying to balamce and open this thing.

Very Disappointed!
June 21, 2016
I am so upset over this stroller; I purchased it because it looked so modern and sleek and seemed to have great reviews. The stroller is actually terrible - I started using the stroller around the end of March - the tires constantly get stuck or the front tires just lock bc of poor lock placement. You have to bring the carseat adaptor with you or else you won't be able to attach the carseat. And it is just so large that you can't fit though a store with it. The wheels are made from like a plastic material so walking through the city streets and side walks they have been getting all beaten up. It's an average price stroller with below average quality. I would love to take it back; has anyone ever tried too?

I love my Chicco urban stroller. My baby can be seated to enjoy the view or go right to sleep into the bassinet when she gets tired. The design and quality of the fabric is what I like the most. It's sturdy and rides very smooth. It's a heavy stroller so it does have to be broken down to be carried. Other than that it's the perfect stroller for me and my baby.

Great Stroller
May 19, 2016
Me and my boyfriend are first time parents, so at first we purchased a Baby Trend Travel System (because I thought was cute) well the strollers quality wasn't something my boyfriend likes. He hated it. So we came to Babies R Us & the moment he "test drove" it he fell in love just like I did. It's so sturdy compared to other strollers, and taking it apart to put away in our SUV is so easy and dosent take so much space!!! I love it! My baby loves it aswell, love all the different seating options for our 8month old. I'm glad we made this purchase cannot wait to go out and about with it :)!

My son is 16 months old now and I am very ready to use a different stroller. While pregnant I was so excited to find this, it was a brand new model and looked great! It test drove great in the store but in real life that was not the case. The front wheels ALWAYS locked on us and for whatever reason our stroller could be very difficult to stear. It's so hard to push it thru doorways in public places because it always Is Getting stuck. My son has used it in all the positions and he seems to be comfortable so I can't say I totally hate it but I would not recommend it to anyone.

Squeaky!!!
February 25, 2016
This stroller squeaks! Every day we have tried spraying it with WD-40 and other lubricants but nothing works. The stroller looks nice, but there is no pouch on the handle for a phone, wallet, etc., and there is no tray for my little guy once he's older to sit up. It is convenient to fold and switch from car seat base to bassinet, and the bottom basket is pretty big; but, for the price I definitely expected much more.

very good but not perfect
January 4, 2016
We are using this stroller for 2 months now with our newborn. The stroller has a great fancy look, especially with the free red color pack we received. In general, I am very happy with the stroller. I really enjoy the versatility! We bought this stroller mainly because of the bassinet configuration, because I really didn't want my baby to be transported in a car seat - and thus bad positioning - all the time before he could sit up, like all the other Chicco strollers. We love the bassinet function, which we use for all the short and long walks, we do put a blanket on top of the cushions and straps. As written in other reviews, in the bassinet configuration, the basket is somewhat hard to reach. The Keyfit option comes in really handy if you need to do a quick trip to the grocery store too. We haven't used the toddler stroller configuration yet, so no opinion on that. Yes, other Chicco strollers are more easy to fold. For this one, you first need to remove the bassinet/seat or Keyfit adapter before being able to fold the frame, for which you need 2 hands. But we don't see the problem, we first put our baby in the car seat in the car and then put the stroller in the trunk, only takes 1 minute. Because you have to detach the bassinet/seat before you can fold the stroller, it does take more space in the trunk than other strollers, but we have a small car and it fits. So there are some disadvantages to this stroller (I thinks to every stroller) but for us they don't outweigh the convenience and correct back support for our newborn that the bassinet offers. Oh yes, our wheels also started squeaking quite fast, doesn't drive me crazy but Chicco should definitely look into this as a lot of Urbans seem to have this.
