HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SEAT!!!!
May 31, 2011
I am passenger safety tech so I install hundreds of seats and hands down Britax is my favorite. The Roudabout is great in the middle seat of my middle row in my Suburban. Perfet size, the passenger seat can easily be lifted up and down to allow acess to the third row, without getting caught on and pulling on the seat. My favortie rearfacing convertable seat. However this seat can NOT be used as a booster like the first reviewer said.
Pros
  • small, compact, comfy, a snap to install ,great price
Cons
  • Low top harnes slots

Great seat!

My daughter has been using this seat for over 2.5 years. She is 3.5 now and still fits in it fine. I was surprised by the previous 2 reviews. The first person must have an EXTREMELY tall child...my daughter is tall for her age and fits well. In regards to the second review, I don't see why they feel the seat is not washable. It is and I have washed mine on MANY occasions. Just read the owners manuals!!I LOVE this car seat cover because stuff doesn't stick to it like most other car seats and can easily be wiped down. It is also a very good looking cover. I don't believe this seat should receive anything LESS than a 5/5!

Adjustable straps are insufficient
February 15, 2010
We're had this car seat since my daughter was 9 months old. We bought it to replace the infant seat she had outgrown which was also a Britax. We went with this seat because the Britax name is synonymous with Safety, and since she was still so young when we wanted a convertible seat to keep her rear facing until she reached the 1 year 20lb forward facing requirements. For about the year and a half we've owned this seat we've loved it! It was very easy to install and light enough that traveling by air with it was never a pain. However, we are already replacing it because my now 26 month old daughter has already outgrown the straps. We have the straps on the highest setting but her shoulders are still about an inch above where they come out which puts pressure on her shoulders when she's securely fastened. This is not only uncomfortable for her, but it concerns me that if we were to ever get into an accident the pressure might do some real damage to her clavicle. You can use this seat as a booster with out the shoulder seat belt of your vehicle, but considering how young she is I want to keep her in a 5 point harness as long as possible. She is a tall girl for her age, but it still seems pretty ridiculous to me that she has already outgrown the straps. It's too bad. This is a very good car seat otherwise.

Ok, but a lot for the money

On the plus side, the seat is very easy to install, which is great if you move it between cars like we do. The latch system is especially easy, and it's very easy to adjust. This seat seems very comfortable, my son falls asleep very easily. The material is soft, however it is NOT machine washable. The other big negative is the straps get twisted all the time. There is velcro on the lower part of the strap, which keeps it in place and out of the way when you're putting baby in, but the shoulder straps are constantly twisted and not easy to fix with a wriggling baby.
