    The ROUNDABOUT® 55 achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of BRITAX SafeCell™ Technology, Integrated Steel Bars, and Versa-Tether® that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact.

    Rear-Facing 5 – 40 lbs, a standing height of 46 inches or less and seated shoulder height of 9 – 15.75 inches.
    Forward-Facing 1 year & 20, up to 55 lbs, a standing height of 46 inches or less and a seat shoulder height of 12 – 15.75 inches.

    SafeCell™ Technologyfeatures SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat

    Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash

    Patented, Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tetherfeatures a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat

Amazing Carseat!

We bought this carseat for our youngest son who will be 3 in October. When you look at it, it does not look like it will last very long. However, I had my oldest (6.5yo) sit in it and he was only about 4 inches too tall and still well within the weight requirements. I am very impressed with this seat. Our son loves it, and the install was the easiest I have ever done. We had a Safety First before this carseat and the two do not even compare at all. The Britax is like the Roles Royce compared to the Safety 1st. This will be the last seat he needs until he is in a booster, and that was our goal. The straps are easy to adjust, and the cover is so easy to get off to clean. We love this seat, as does our son!

  • It's very well made a very nice seat for your newborn but it is a very small seat.
Cons
  • The seat is a little small,my grandson is only 8 months and the seat is very tight,it's hard to get him out of it.
