Britax Marathon 70 Car Seat in Onyx

This seat has so many helpful and useful features! It is also an easy install! We love the under the seat tightening feature for minimal side to side or front/back movement. The harness tightening feature and easy no slot strap movement is also easy to use, adjust and grow with my child! My little and seems to be comfy in this seat. Sleeping and traveling are a breeze. The extra strap covers are nice for reducing belt marks and slipping.

I read a lot of reviews on this carseat and it was everything I expected it to be. We are really satisfied with this and really glad we decided to go with this carseat.

My sweet baby HATED the car. She constantly screamed non-stop and it was difficult for me to handle. I was holing up in my house just to not have to deal with it. Unfortunately, my husband was getting ready to deploy and our situation was really bearing down on him and making him nervous about leaving, so I took the plunge and decided to give up that god-forsaken carrier/car seat and go with a convertible. I did a lot of research, and decided I wanted this seat and found it on Albee for a better deal than I could anywhere else and free shipping (which was wonderful as we live in a remote location). I was nervous about the price, but honestly, it feels so secure and comfortable for her. I noticed an immediate difference in her car seat behavior and now we can drive as far as three hours without her crying! It has been wonderful and it was a great size for fitting in both my husband's Camry (with the front seats pretty far back because he has long legs) and in my Pontiac vibe.The only things I don't love about it are that loosening the straps can be weird sometimes, and I feel like she doesn't fit as well in the seat with her fluffy cloth diaper butt compared to the thinner disposables. I had this checked by the fire department so I know it's okay and she doesn't seem uncomfortable, but I think that might be a design consideration for the future.

Installs easily and takes up less space than my older daughters version of the seat. Cover is easy to remove to wash.

My wife & I own a Britax Marathon in our vehicles. We purchased this 3rd car seat for one of the grandmother's of our first born. The seat is comfortable for our son but more importantly #1 in safety. We trust our first born's toddler life in a Britax.

We purchased this for our 4th child and are amazed at how versatile it is. You can have a five pound baby in this car seat and keep them in it until a booster seat. Very well designed, cozy and comfortable fit and sleek looking in black. Fabulous purchase for us.

We switched from an earlier model britax marathon 65 which we loved. We found less leg room in this britax marathon 70 model while seat is rear-facing. We also have an alpha-omega saftey first car seat and will say that this is now our preferred car seat, just because we will be able to wait much longer to change from rear to foward-facing while still having leg room.

I have a two year old marathon for my daughter and this new one seems much nicer. It is more plush and has the insert for added comfort while they are smaller. I am glad I purchased another marathon.y son already loves it!

Excellent car seat...purchased to replace Roundabout for my very tall 3 year old. This seat is being used by my mom and dad and they like it even better than the Roundabout...they say it is much easier to install using latch because of the short straps on both sides that can be tightened instead of one strap running thru the seat. My son also loves it!!!

We purchased this car seat for our 1 year old. We were looking for one she could use rear-facing as well as front-facing when she's big enough. We're very happy with the seat. Our daughter is very comfortable in it, & she should be able to use it for a long time. It's very easy to install in our Suburban & we love that the straps can be adjusted so easily & they don't get twisted up like some seats we've had. We definitely feel it was worth the extra money for the conveniences & extra safety features.

Awesome car seat that is comfortable, safe and even more affordable through Albee Baby!

My daughter had twins, and while trying to get ready for them and my roll as daytime caregiver, I purchased Safety First convertible car seats from her registry for my car without even thinking much about it. However, when the first twin got too heavy to tote around in his infant seat and I tried to install the Safety First seat rear facing, I found that it did not fit comfortably in the back seat of my 2011 Rav4 because the back was too tall. Consequently, no one taller than me at 5' 3" could drive my car or ride with me in the passenger seat while these seats were installed. I got on the internet and discussion boards and realized that the Britax Marathon 70 should (and does) work in my car. Once I received the first Marathon and was thrilled with it, I ordered a second one for the other twin. Britax makes a superior product and I have recommended Britax and Albee Baby to my friends who are about to become grandmothers.

We used a Britax infant carrier that I loved and now this one as a rear facing seat since he's only one year old. I love it! It's easy to install, easy to adjust and it has a high safety rating. It's great! I highly recommend it to all my friends!

This car seat has great safety features, fits well in our Honda Civic, is comfortable for my son in the forward facing position, and is easily adjustable.

This car seat is of exceptional quality at an exceptional price thanks to Albee Baby!!! The seat fits, rear facing, in my 2007 Camry with room to spare for front passangers. The height adjustment is extremely easy to adjust, so NO removing straps or seat cover. It was easy to install and it's easy to clean! The recline positon is perfect for my one year old to fall asleep in without his head rolling forward unsupported. Britax has imporved their design of this carseat tremendously. You can't beat safe! I love the color (onyx) it looks exactly as it is shown. I also have it in jet for my husband's Chevy Silverado Truck.Not even Amazon can beat Albee's prices!!!! We bought 2 of these seats (1 for each vehicle) and couldn't be happier! Easy to use and I love the easy latch system for installation. Got a great price and fast shipping that was free! This seat will last our 8 month old for a good while; we put our 5 year old in the seat just to try out the adjustable headrest and to see if he fits, and he did with room to grow!

So far I LOVE this car seat. My son is still rear facing so I can't comment on any of the forward facing features but it was super easy to install and is really easy to use and my son is extremely comfortable in it. I did lots of research before purchasing this Britax car seat for my vehicle that would accomodate my ever growing grandaughter. I am a retired paramedic now ER nurse, and truly know the importance of providing the best possible child restraint system. I am impressed with the quality of construction and the safety features of this restraint system.

After looking at multiple convertible car seats (and asking a bunch of my friends), 9 out of 10 recommended this car seat. It looks very comfortable and my son (who was almost 21 lbs at 6 months) has not problems sitting in it. We have to switch the seat between two cars from time to time and my husband can do that within minutes. He says it's very easy. I probably wouldn't buy it if you have one of those compact cars because it's kind of bulky. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. I hope to have this seat for MANY years! 4 out of 5 stars (just because of price)

I initially wasn't going to spend this much on a car seat but when I saw how convenient it is to adjust the straps and the sale on albee I sprung for it and I am so glad I did. My baby is big and needed something at 5.5 months and its a great chair, easy to install, I still got it inspected and they said this chair has an added strap to hook to the back of the passenger seat for added safety, can't say enough, good service, came fast

We have used three different car seats in our family and I feel like this is the safest, sturdiest and easiest to use by far. The material is very nice. Everything is adjusted very easily and installatino is a breeze. The only downside is that it cannot recline when you are on the road which means that our toddler is not as comfy in it when she falls asleep. I would buy another one without a doubt

We love the overall appearance and quality of the car seat. However, we do not like the functionality for rear-facing as we wait for our son to turn one year old. We had to rig it with a block of wood and part of a pool noodle to be level on the seat. Seems a little odd to have to do that with such an expensive, high-quality car seat. I'm sure we'll love it once it is forward-facing, but for now it is a little frustrating.

I originally bought another car seat and tried it for about a week. My son was never comfortable in it and it was way to bulky. Many people recommended this car seat to me so I thought I would give it a try. It was the best purchase I've made in a long time! My son loves it and I would highly recommend it!

This is my second purchase of this seat, both from Albee. The price cannot be beat and the seat is super strong and safe. My nine month old 23 lb son has been in the seat for a few months and loves it. He has plenty of room to wiggle and play while sitting tightly fastened in the hugs buckle. I will tell moms everywhere to get this seat. Unless you need and advocate or boulevard for reasons beyond your control, get the marathon70! It is huge and sturdy! I do t think either of those other models would even fit into my crossover vehicle.

I had the earlier version of the Britax Marathon in a small accident - my child was fine and the seat showed no signs of damage, but my insurance company advised me to replace it. So I ordered this one, because my child loved the Marathon, it was very comfortable (she often fell asleep in it), and obviously provided the needed safety. This updated version is much better and much easier to install and adjust. Highly recommend.

This was the second Britax Marathon 70 car seat that I had bought. I feel that the car seat is so much more advance than others on the market. As an EMT I have seen many accidents involving children in car seats. I did research upon research about this car seat compared to others. This car seat seemed to go above the standards.

I purchased this when my son outgrew his travel system car seat. Love it! Have to adjust it a bit to make it recline more ( we moved him at 6 months). So easy to install. I am back on Albee baby today to buy one for my mom to use when she has him. But... Not sure my big boy will be able to use this up to 70lbs...regardless I love it after using it for 2 months.

We were so pleased with the first Britax Marathon that we bought from Albee Baby for my firstborn that we bought a second one from Albee Baby for my second child (since they both needed rear-facing carseats). I love that this model has high weight and height limits for rear-facing, so my 2.5 year old can still ride safely facing the rear.

This is the best carseat brand!

To start with, albee baby had free shipping and I had the carseat within 2 days. I was shocked.I like the carseat. It was easy to install but we had to get out the level to make sure the seat had the proper angle since there isn't one on the carseat. We have a Hyandi Santa Fe and the carseat fits behind the passenger seat with room to spare. I am 5'6" and can sit comfortably in the front seat.It is very easy to adjust the harness. The only problem I have with the straps is even with the velcro on the sides to hold the straps back they alway end up under my son when I sit him in it. I don't have any problems with my son's head slouching forward while he is sleeping (at least not in the rear facing mode). I like that the seat doesn't block my son's view; it seems to keep him from getting completely upset about being in the carseat. The carseat itself has a small forward-back movement that I was told is normal by the manufacture's help line.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter has been in the Marathon (first rear facing, just very recently turned front-facing) since she was around 6 months old. It has held up extremely well and always been comfortable for her.I recently took her shopping with me for a new convertible seat to keep in our second car. I had her try many different seats out, and either she or I didn't like them -- she for comfort, me for ease of use.Looks like we'll just be buying another Marathon! After all - she will continue to fit in it for another 30 lbs. or so! :-)We've been very pleased with this purchase.

Not only is the Marathon easy to install and comfortable, this new Marathon 70 allows you to change the height of the shoulder straps without re-routing them through the seat. There is a handle at the top that slides the shoulder straps up and down. It is genius. I love the Britax Marathon, and so do my kids.
