Goes the Distance

I've had the double for over 7 yrs had to replace the wheels as they finally wore out. I've put a couple thousand miles on it and all 4 of my kids have gown up in it. I've taken them up to 90 minutes on it roughly 13 miles at a time. Weather shield was a must where I am at. Used slime in the tires which was a life saver. We keep it inside and looks almost brand new after all these years. Rolls over anything. Used it at the zoo and airports and love it for those day trips as well. One of the best present I've ever been given!

A running mumma's best friend

I have had my bob for 5 years with absolutely no issues! My son is 5 now and he still begs for a buggy run, although I think our running days together are almost over as he is just to big now. Our longest run was 20km in one hit but at least three days per week we run 14km 7km into work and back... he absolutely loves it and I wouldn't have serviced without. It is still like new and so well used. Light, easy to fold down and carry up my work stairs! I love my bob!!

Smooth ride, all terrain

Best price I found, and amazing jogger! Bought this to push my disabled five-year-old through some marathon races. It glides on the pavement and handles running on packed dirt, gravel, and grass very well. The shock absorbers provide a very smooth ride for the child. I'm 5' 11" and the fixed handle height is comfortable. Plenty of room for my stride. The handbrake won't bring you to a dead stop, but it's a back-saver on the downhills. The parking brake holds the jogger completely still for loading/unloading a child.
Pros
  • Lightweight, comfortable seat pads, plenty of mesh carrying pouches.
Best Uses
  • Trail running
Cons
  • The visor can't fold all the way back if the child is near the maximum height, unless the child doesn't mind leaning on the folded visor.
Issue with wheel spokes

Overall it is a great stroller. However, I had a problem with the spokes on the wheels rusting and snapping. It happened with all three wheels. It is costly to have them all repaired, almost half the price of the stroller itself. Disappointing as it is a well designed vehicle.

Great running pram

We've had it for 18 months and it is great. My husband and I both run with it and can't find fault. The basket is small but for running you don't really need much more. We hardly ever fold it up but it is easy when we do.

After light to medium use the axle broke. The warranty was out off course so now we must order a new one.

Excellent, but forget the brakes

Single dad, running ultramarathons, this was the perfect choice for running with my 2yo. In Portugal it is rare and I get a lot of head turns, but I don't mind, people smile. This is not really practical for going into crowded places like a supermarket, but for long walks or runs, it is totally above "normal" strollers. It's super stable and confortable, it rolls on flat's, you can push it with a finger. I was suprised on how I could run fast with it or long. Max distance so far was 20k with a long breark at 10k, but the ideal run for me lasts 60 minutes max. I find it also very easy to fold and handle. I like the build quality, light but sturdy. I did not like the brakes, they are well bellow the cheapest set of brakes on any bycicle and the weird format makes it impossible to replace them by normal bycicle brakes.

A New Parent's Best Friend!

My husband and I bought our BOB ironman while pregnant with our first baby and, aside from the crib and other typical baby necessities, this was our absolute best purchase. After our son was old enough, I started taking him out for jogs near daily and it put him right to sleep (at 2 years old, it STILL puts him to sleep).

I used the Ironman for "easy" training runs and an occasional long run while training for my first postpartum marathon. Through training for that full and two more half marathons, this stroller is still going strong. We have ran with the BOB Ironman in the sun, rain, wind, and snow - thanks to the weathershield - and it's still in great condition two years later.

**I highly recommend the BOB Ironman weathershield if you live in cool or windy climates! Living near the Canadian border, I use the weathershield while running for 7 to 8 months out of the year.**

With baby #2 arriving in a couple months, we will be trying out the BOB Ironman Duallie this summer! The BOB stroller and weathershield are both well worth the cost!

Great Runner

My husband and 7 month old son use this stroller to run races, 5k and daily trails. It is light weight and they really enjoy it. The quality is great and I am very pleased with the safety harness. This is not a daily stroller and not the ideal stroller for casual walks. However for a serious runner it is perfect.
Pros
  • Lightweight, bright color, 5 point safety harness
Best Uses
  • Running long distances
Cons
  • Does not turn easily
Awesome stroller

I was between this one and the BOB revolution. My main sticking point was the fixed wheel. The revolution has a wheel you can unlock, thus have a multi-use stroller. My son was about a year old when I got this and started trying to get back in shape. I already had a couple of other strollers and ultimately this is slightly cheaper. I love it. It took me a couple of runs to get used to the turning with a fixed wheel, but now it's super-easy. It turns easier as you run, rather than walk. For tight turns, I have to pick up the front wheel, but it is balanced really well so it takes minimal effort. My son loves to ride in it and frequently falls asleep. The bright yellow color is nice and bright; I specifically thought it would be more visible for safety. I like the sunshade, as well. You can have it all the way down or about half way and there is a nice clear window you can look at your kid while you run. It pushes easy and the shocks are pretty smooth. It even packs up pretty quick for transport. Just one caveat, I don't do a lot of off road running; when I did, I got a hole in my tire. The tire was easily repaired for $5 at a bike shop, but it was a little hiccup. Otherwise, totally awesome stroller and would totally recommend.
Pros
  • Super smooth
  • Light weight
