Can't wait to use for Baby #2 too!

I purchased this for my first born in 2018 and loved how easy both the carseat and stroller were to use (and wash). With one hand I can do the following: maneuver the stroller, fold the stroller, unfold the stroller. The infant seat lasted us about 10-12 months, and by then I felt more comfortable upgrading my baby to a convertible, rear facing seat. Otherwise, she was getting too heavy for me to hoist up into the car already strapped into the infant carrier. I also purchased the deluxe pram to use with the stroller, which worked for us for about 3 months. We're expecting Baby #2 in a few months and happily, I plan to reuse the travel system. The only drawback I have with the stroller itself is that the seat doesn't let my 1-2 year old sit upright enough. Now that she's older, I pad her back with blankets so she can easily reach the snack tray accessory.

This stroller worked great for us. We used it with our first child all the way from newborn to now (she is now 2 years old). We will be buying the double stroller in this brand for baby #2 on the way.
Pros
  • Easy to fold
  • Easy and comfy to push
  • Allows for accessories (parent console, tray table, etc)
Cons
  • Wish the bottom storage section was more accessible. You can barely squeeze things in there but that's not a game changer for us

This stroller is a great travel system. After using it for a little over a year the break mechanism broke. For a stroller that is this expensive that should not happen. I can no longer use this stroller safely.

After having this travel system for a couple weeks I can honestly say it's been great. The car seat and stroller have a great feeling fabric for baby and great cushioning to it too. Even with this thicker cushioned fabric my 5month old never got fussy from overheating which is a must in California! The car seat is super easy to adjust whether it be the head rest or straps, there's no undoing anything, just a simple button for both. Another great feature is the lap belt holder for when you don't have the car seat base. It comes in handy when you need to use a ride share service because you locked your keys in the house :). The car seat base is also easy to install and the Anit-Rebound bar keeps it snug in the seat unlike other bases that still move no matter how tight you make the belt. Both the car seat and stroller have a nice large thick canopy that's UV50+ which again, a must for California. Now on to the stroller. My favorite thing about the stroller is how small and flat it folds. I'm on my 1st child and don't have a massive SUV with all this space, so my hatchback trunk space must be used wisely. This stroller takes 1/2 the space and leaves plenty of room for groceries. It also folds up easy and is was surprisingly light as well. Now the tires...why don't all strollers have these tires?!? They're jogger style tires but they can never get flat. You don't realize how important that is until you've experience flat tires on a stroller and trust me it's the worst! With all of this said I do have a few complaints. Why no cup holders? This is a jogger stroller after all and there's no where to but my water bottle or drink when we're out and about. The storage under the stroller has a small opening which makes it some what of a pain to stuff the diaper bag in. Even with these small complaints this is an all around great stroller and is a great option for anyone looking for a travel system. It's a great high end looking stroller that both parents and baby will love.

Stroller is amazing but hate the car seat. My son is 20lbs but can't fit in it. We adjusted the headrest, loosened up the seat belts but nothing. He always looks uncomfortable and squished inside. The car seat is supposed to hold him until he is 35lbs. Its expensive and to buy a product that fails to live up to its advertisement is frustrating. Get the stroller but not the carseat

This system was a gift for us and we love it. I read so many reviews about the infant seat being small and hot. My son does get a bit warm if we are walking around the block etc. (we are in Louisiana) but I always have a stroller fan with us. Riding in the car with air he is fine and cool. The stroller maneuvers fantastic. It glides and I couldn't be more pleased. It also folds up very nicely and easily. I had a britax B agile system for my first child which was nice too but I just love this system. Love the handle how it lowers or goes higher. Overall very pleased with this stroller and carrier.

Pros:
- Easy to use and install.
- Quick transition from car to stroller with the car seat adapter.
- Great quality.
- The stroller sun shade is great with the peakaboo windows.
Cons:
- The car seat gets too warm.
- The car seat is uncomfortable for my daughter's tummy because of how deep and the angle that it holds the baby.
- The car seat and stroller both are very heavy.
- The storage under the stroller isn't deep and we can't fit our diaper bag in there.

With a newborn (and especially being our first) it was a VENTURE to get ready to brave the outdoors. The travel system made it easy to keep baby sleeping, quick for in an out of car, and ZERO hassle to get moving. The one pull latch for complete collapse made it a winner for us. There's no fuss or confusion will here, then push there...it's just pull and it's done! I've used this "off road" and it's held up GREAT for making a smooth ride without waking baby. Woo hoo! Don't hesitate to get this!

Smooth Stroller, Horrible Car Seat

Our baby is barely 7 weeks old and dreads going in her citi mini car seat. She is instantly sweaty both on outdoor walks and in car rides and we're stuck on what to do as she is too small for the stroller itself. We are now forced to replace the expensive car seat after barely being able to use it as part of the travel system. So buyers beware - it is NOT compatible for infants up to 35 lbs and poorly designed with thick inserts that cannot be removed. It is best for newborns up to 8 lbs MAX. We can no longer place our baby in the car as she hates the seat and doesn't fit. Very disappointing.

Stroller works great in big cities however is very heavy for single parent usage (especially after surgery, there is no way for a mother to use travel system if alone).

Awesome stroller, disappointing car seat

As a first time mom I relayed on my best friend -mother of three- advice on Baby Jogger strollers and I don't regret it for a second. We choose the City Mini and is so versatile and easy, we love it. Our big mistake was buy it complete with the travel system.

Our baby will be 4 months next week, we had been adjusting the headrest by the month, reaching its limit last time. And no matter how much we do to keep him confortable on it, he hates it. He is so tight and uncomfortable in this carrier, we can't go on much longer than 30 minutes drive, he gets all hot and sweaty even with the AC on and a portable little fan we got him. We can't take him for long walks either without having to pick him up eventually. I know it shouldn't be lose and all the safety requirements but am I asking too much for safety AND comfort?

I also thought the straps lock might needed to be broken in but after 4 month I still struggle every day to unlock it without breaking a nail.

Now we are looking to buy a new car seat already, an expense I wasn't planning on having for another 8 months.

On the bright side is a very nice looking carrier made with quality materials. We really wanted it to work for us but overall doesn't worth the high price for the struggle and only 4+ months of use.

Great system idea poor execution of a car seat

My son is 5 months old now and he is very tall for his age. I believe this car seat will not last any longer. We didn't travel much before other than DRs appts., but now we are about to start and I don't believe it will be comfortable for him at all. His little legs are being squeezed by the latch. I have tried to make the adjustments per the book but it's still too short and its still squeezing his little legs. Let me not even mention adjusting the head rest, where he would be able to fit and that was not much help. Will keep the stroller but I am now looking for a new seat that i will be able to use with the stroller if that is even possible.

Not too pleased and very disappointed in this product maybe I should have taken my chances with the Doona car seat.

Great stroller, HORRIBLE car seat

Stroller is fantastic. Car seat is the worst. Buy stroller but don't buy the travel system.
Not sure how such a thoughtful stroller would come with such a poorly designed car seat. I've tried using this product for 7 weeks now and it results every time in such screams that it makes me hate going out (I have an easy baby who otherwise barely fusses). At first (first 1-3 weeks) my baby was so squished in there he'd barely fit and look so uncomfortable. Since, we've tried adjusting the headrest multiple times but it's poorly designed and only results in his shoulders being uncomfortably stuck underneath the headrest. It doesn't look like a baby over 16lbs or 25 inches long could ever sit in the car seat. Don't waste your money.

Great stroller, not a fan of the seat

The stroller is great if you are looking for a cross between a traditional stroller and a jogger. I wish that there's more storage room under the bottom. It's also a little heavy so not something that we take with us when we travel. We bought a lighter stroller for that.
The car seat, however, we were not huge fans of. First, I had an unplanned C-section and the seat is really heavy compared to many other seats. So it was really hard to take it around with me. I ended up just taking my son out of the seat everywhere I went, which what defeated the purpose of having travel system. On top of that he was always uncomfortable so he didn't want to be in it anyways. At about six months we transitioned to a convertible seat. Which we use primarily, however he occasionally still rides in this car seat when he's in our 2nd car up until 18months. Unlike most of the other reviews, I found If you extended all the way the child will fit and I noticed that he stopped complaining and fussing about the seat when he got a little bit bigger around 15lbs. But it's also super hot so it's not great for the summer. At this point, he is 27 lbs and should still be able to fit in it but he looks like he's way too big for it even when it's completely extended. I'm not sure we'll use it for a next child. I might just donate it.

We LOVE the travel system! It has been so easy to use! My sister and SIL both agree it is lighter, more compact and easier to use than their Graco travel systems.

I am confused about other reviews of the car seat though. My daughter is almost 23 pounds and 32 inches long and still fits in the car seat (her feet stick out but her head does not). I am wondering if other reviewers haven't removed the newborn pad or moved headrest up? We also love that the pad for head isn't removable. It keeps hers from moving from side to side. It also seems very comfortable for her...we make 4.5 hour drives frequently to visit my family and she always seems comfortable (usually sleeps a good portion of trip).

Would highly recommend travel system to others!

My baby is 8 months old and we haven't had any issues with our travel system. I felt compelled to write a review after reading so many bad ones. The headrest is absolutely adjustable- I have done it. My child still fits in the seat at 8 months old (19lbs). It is easy to snap into the base and easy to move the base to another vehicle if needed. Sometimes it takes a few tries to snap the car seat into the stroller. I think it's because I don't use the stroller on a regular basis. The stroller is light and easy to open and close and throw in the trunk of the car. The steering on the stroller is incredible. Every time I use it strangers comment on how easily it turns. It has a small storage space underneath. I can fit the Vera Bradley backpack under there with some shoving. A regular sized diaper bag would not fit. Overall I love this travel system and would get it again. It is exactly what I was looking for.

This car seat was perfect when my son was born, 8lbs 9oz, 21". He likes it and looks comfy and I have piece of mind knowing it is safe. Love how the car seat clicks into the stroller, makes things so easy! He's 7mos now and 19lbs. We've removed the body support and adjusted the head rest several times and he still fits very comfortably. We have one car seat base in our SUV and purchase a second base for our sedan so we can switch between vehicles. Highly recommend!

I bought this travel system and have been very happy with it. I love the stroller. It is easy to fold and lift in to my trunk. I walk a lot and it does great on pavement and on gravel travels. I bought the parent console and it holds two bottles of water and my phones and keys. I do have to shove the diaper bag in the area underneath but it fits what I need for one baby.

We bought an extra base so we have two for our cars. It is very easy to click the car seat in to the bases and the stroller. The car seat was a problem at first but I finally figured out how to move the head rest and my baby fits in it again. I did not realize there is a sliding latch on the back of the head rest that moves it all the way up for comfort. I have a 9 month old that is approximately 29 inches (50th percentile) and 21 lbs (50th percentile). He still fits comfortably in the seat with the head rest extended all the way up and should have room to grow. Overall, I really like the entire system a lot!

We are an NYC family, but also do quite a bit of driving, so we wanted a car seat that could easily pop in and out of the car. I noticed that people are commenting about sweaty babies, but we've tried other car seats travelling, and babies just get sweaty in car seats. I don't think there's any breathable material out there that will eliminate the issue. Anyway, the stroller is super easy to fold with the one pull handle, and we easily carry it up one flight of stairs. It's not a feather, but it's not that hard to carry one handed with something else in the other. And i'm no superwoman. We used the car seat for our very chunky babe until she was 1. She looked a little tight and her legs were slightly folded, but she was totally fine. She loved sleeping in the car seat in the car, and sometimes kept going when we moved her in the seat into the house (although from a safety perspective, that's not recommended). We also took this seat on several flights and it was easy to strap in rear-facing. Overall, we really love this system. I wish the stroller bucket was bigger, but we knew going in it wasn't as big as others. What matters is the great recline on the stroller seat, easy straps, easy braking, and easy fold and carry. Recommended!

We absolutely love our travel system, especially the stroller! We live in Chicago, so we needed a stroller that was easy to navigate, and this more than does the trick! The maneuverability of this stroller is unmatched, and we have had great success getting around tight spaces and large crowds!
We were a little nervous about the car seat after reading the reviews, but we have not had any of the extreme issues others have complained about. Our daughter is going on 7 months, and still comfortably fits in the car seat with room to grow- we have just made sure to adjust the headrest as she has grown. I will say that she gets a little warm if we have the car seat attached to the stroller and it is hot out- but I have to imagine that would happen with any travel system. We have never had an issue of her being too warm or uncomfortable in the car.
On top of the functionality of this awesome duo, we also really enjoy the sleek style. It has a very clean look, and it isn't bulky. The modern style really appealed to us.
My only complaints about this travel system are that the basket under the stroller is not nearly large enough. We needed to purchase a separate bag to keep with the stroller instead of just using the diaper bag (which becomes a pain switching things from bag to bag). I also dislike that we had to purchase the tray and parent console separately. At this price point, they should be included.
Overall, this is a wonderful, high quality product, and my husband and I are very pleased we selected this travel system!

This stroller is humongous. The mesh basket is tiny. My diaper bag doesn't fit inside. The car seat is so deep that my child looks so uncomfortable and I feel like I am hurting her when removing her from it. Additionally, the normal seat is so low, my baby feel a very far away from me. I've had this travel system for a year and half. My son now tolerates the seat because he's able to tell me he wants to get out of it. When he was younger, he would scream his head off because he was getting too hot in the seat. I could never figure out the problem. I hated taking him anywhere in it.The fabric is not breathable. Not only that but the headrest has caution stickers sewn in that probably should go elsewhere. It's just not a comfortable seat for infants. He was always covered in sweat even during a 20 minute drive, during the winter. I'm about to have a second child and am looking for a new car seat that might work with the stroller. Unfortunately, we paid full price for this system. The seat has nice features but infants should be comfortable for longer periods of time. Look for a different car seat.

DO NOT BUY! Car seat won't last past 25 inches!
By Jordan C.

This car seat worked until my baby was 5 months old. I was told that the headrest was removed as most normal car seats are. But it is not! The car seat states that it can hold up to 35lbs but no baby over 16lbs or 25inches long could ever sit in the car seat! The head rest will squish the babies head and will be so uncomfortable. My family and I bought three extra bases and now have wasted over $1000 on baby Jogger products due to this poor design of a car seat. The travel system seems like a great idea but there is no way possible baby could grow with this product and she will not fit in it after today. Also the car seat is so hot! Often I take my baby out of the car seat and she is sweating so bad. I have to drive with the AC on constantly to try and keep it comfortable for her but she still is so hot in the car seat.
Other reviews say you can adjust the headrest which is true but you can only push it up so far until the next baby's shoulders are so uncomfortably jammed under the headrest.

I had this stroller for a year and I absolutely love it and so does my baby. It's great for working out and doing errands, he sleeps so good in it. The stroller is super smooth. OMG! I can't say enough good things about this stroller it's FANTASTIC! It's Easy to wash and clean. I recommend it! Do yourself a favor and spend that little extra! you won't regret it.

Albeebaby has the best price for the BabyJogger City Mini GT Travel System. I've gone to BuyBuyBaby numerous times to test out the stroller and finally decided this was it, except at BuyBuyBaby they were selling the exact same one at the original price-- almost $100 more! I know BuyBuyBaby price matches, however they couldn't bring it down to match Albeebaby's price. I will continue to search this site first if there's another product I need because I'm sure Albeebaby will have the best prices!

after months of researching car seats, strollers, travel systems, etc to put on my registry, I decided on the City Mini GT Travel system in Charcoal. I wanted a carseat that had high ratings, but was also light weight. the City Go carseat itself only weighs 8lbs vs. the popular Chicco Keyfit 30 that weighs 10lbs- trust me, those two pounds make a difference when carrying an already 8-10lb baby in there. the carseat is very easy to install, like within minutes. the straps are easy to adjust and the inserts are easily removable when your baby reaches the weight to remove them (13 pounds I believe?). I like that the sun shade big and also UV 50. the base of the carseat is adjustable and also has a bubble indicator for easy installation. I've already used the taxi-safe belt path numerous times as I live outside of Washington DC and travel there frequently. now, the City Mini GT stroller.. this stroller is the best thing on the face of this earth. the handle is adjustable which is convenient for short people like me (5'2") and tall people like my husband. I saw someone give the carseat two stars and wrote a review on the carseat itself on this site saying that you have to buy the adaptors separately to use it in the stroller. that's not accurate.. if you buy the travel system it comes with everything you need to put the carseat in the stroller. the inital installation is easy, and when it comes down to actually using the travel system (which I do daily) it's very quick. the stroller is easy to open and close with one hand and very light weight you could carry it. the material (especially the charcoal like mine) is amazing. it's very high quality and easy to clean- not to mention looks very sleek! as far as ride goes, it's very smooth. I'm pretty sure this stroller has some sort of shock system, because you can hardly feel when you go over a bump. overall, I give this system 5 stars, actually a billion stars. it's truly a high quality system and I have zero complaints. actually, one complaint. I hate that I had to buy the parent console separate, and I hate that i'll have to buy the stroller bar and cupholder for my child separate too. I feel like for the price ($599) this should've come with at least the parent console. however, you get what you pay for and I'm very happy with this purchase. I've recommended it to three friends of mine, all of which ended up getting this system and love it. thanks Baby Jogger for creating awesome products! *I bought this travel system at buybuyBABY*

A great car seat and stroller combination! We've only used the car seat three times (taking baby home and two pediatrician visits) but we know this was a great purchase due to the ease of taking it out of the car or the stroller as well as putting it back on.
