I love it!!!
January 25, 2015
I bought the JourneyBee to take with me on a Disney cruise in the spring. I needed a place for my 19 month old son to sleep and I really did NOT want to borrow a pack and play from the cruise ship. The JourneyBee worked out perfectly! You won't BELIEVE how light this think is. And it is SO easy to set up. It does take up quite a bit of room as it has a rather large footprint. However, we did not have any problem fitting it into our cabin on the cruise. I also used the JourneyBee that same year for trips during Thanksgiving and Christmas. FYI - although this travel crib is fabulous and provides a safe sleeping area, the walls of the JourneyBee are quite flexible. If you have a child that will pull on the walls of the crib or try to use the walls to climb out, you may not want to use this crib.
Pros
  • Large sleeping area, easy to set up, easy to pack up, very light
Best Uses
  • Travel

Defected product!!

I 've had the journeybee less than six months and in that time it's been replaced once and after about a month has fell apart again. I would not recommend this product to any mother who has a baby who stands and plays rough in the crib. It is not structurally sound for that kind of playing. Please consider my review as the product is very expensive too buy.
Pros
  • Nice colors
Best Uses
  • Convenient for travel
Cons
  • Not structurally sound

Extremely Easy & Portable, But Hard To Use As a Travel Crib
August 14, 2013
I was extremely pleased with the ease of use of this item. I still cannot believe how small it folds up and how easily it folds up! This beats the ease of a pack-n-play for sure! However, each night when I it was time to put my daughter in it to sleep, the ease of use went away. What is hard to see from the picture is that there is a larger footprint than you might imagine. The bottom of the crib is a rectangle, but the surrounding support is a large oval that extends from the inner rectangle. So on all four sides, you have to stand back away from the inner rectangle, which means that if you are laying your child down to sleep in the crib, you have to reach OVER and down to place him/her in the bottom of the crib. For me, this was never a graceful move. I would tuck my feet under the outer oval so that I would not have to reach over so much, but it was still not great. I can totally imagine, though, that this would be a great play pen to take anywhere. It's light, as I mentioned before, easy to set up and take down, and it packs up pretty small and flat.
Pros
  • extremely easy to set up, take down, transport
Best Uses
  • as a play pen...using as a crib can be challenging
Cons
  • wide footprint and low bottom make it hard to lay down a child to sleep

Great Buy!!!!!

I absolutely love our journeybee!!! We had the traditional play yard, and it was such a pain to travel and do anything with. We recently went on a two week trip with our journeybee. It made traveling so much easier. It is so much simpler to pack and so light. The set up is incredible and quick! It took a lot of research to finally stumble upon this! There are also several accessories you can purchase that most playpens do not carry such as the mosquito net which is a big one for me and the sunshade. The only con I have is the width. It's not any taller than the other traditional ones and it's super skinny, but it is very wide. If you have it strapped to your back, you have to turn sideways or at an angle to get through the door. That's the only con and it's a small one at that. The pros far out weigh it. As a new mom, I wanted all the add-ons: changing table, music, vibration, bassinet, etc that come with the traditional one. However, all that stuff generally just goes to 15ish pounds and is not used very long. I kept my old one to use for that brief newborn stage. This is an high quality item. I have had first hand experience with their customer service. They are quick, friendly, and extremely helpful. Shipping is also very fast. Love this product. Also, if you buy directly from their website, you can use FOXALL10 for $10 off. https://parentlab.com/journey-bee

I saw the journeyBee featured on the View and it looked amazing. I have the Pack n' Play which weighs 29 lbs and is a pain to set up! We're constantly traveling to the in laws and friends so I bought the journeybee to be truly portable. It really is amazing! Weighs 11lbs and opens and closes so easily. Design is really cool too. Absolutely love this product
Pros
  • design, portability, price, easy to use, iphone pocket to play music!
Cons
  • Took a couple of practice times to fold but now I have it down!
