The 2026 Monte Design Black Friday sale is coming to Albee Baby. If you're shopping for a nursery chair, use this page to compare gliders, swivel gliders, glider recliners, and ottomans before the sale begins.
The Monte Design Black Friday furniture for this year isn't known yet, but we'll soon get word from Monte Design and post the sale dates, savings, qualifying models, fabrics, bases, and exclusions here. Black Friday is Friday, November 27th, and it's possible Monte Design will have early-bird Black Friday sales before then.
Any price or Rewards offer you see before the announcement has its own terms. We won't call it the 2026 Black Friday sale until the promotion is confirmed.
When Does the Monte Design Black Friday Sale Start?
We do not have the 2026 start or end date yet. The sale could begin before Black Friday, on November 27th, or during the weekend leading into Cyber Monday on November 30th.
Once the promotion is official, we'll post the exact timing, eligible models and configurations, exclusions, and checkout instructions on this page.
What Will Be Included in the Monte Design Black Friday Sale?
The qualifying furniture has not been announced. Gliders, recliners, ottomans, quick-ship configurations, made-to-order fabrics, and upgraded bases may have different savings or exclusions.

Shop Monte Design Nursery Seating at Albee Baby
We carry Monte Design gliders, swivel gliders, glider recliners, and ottomans. Current chair models include Cortina, Grano, Matera, Luca, Como, Vera, and Gem.
Start with movement and seat shape, then choose the fabric and base. The same upholstery color can look very different on a tailored Grano, a pillowy Cortina, or the rounded Gem.
Monte Design Cortina Manual and Motorized Glider Recliners
Cortina is Monte Design's tallest, most pillowy recliner. It has extra-soft cushions, French-seam detailing, a 21-inch seat depth, ergonomic arms, and a matching lumbar pillow. The seat and back cushions stay in place with hook-and-loop attachments, and their zip-off covers are washable.
Choose the manual Cortina if you prefer the hidden handle and a chair that works without an outlet. Choose the motorized Cortina for push-button recline. Both glide while upright and stop gliding when the footrest is raised.
Monte Design Grano Glider Recliner
Grano has a clean, tailored profile with an integrated back cushion and a medium-firm feel. Its 20-inch seat depth sits between Matera and Cortina, and the hidden handle keeps the outside of the chair uncluttered.
Choose Grano when you want full recline without a loose or pillowy back cushion. It needs about 12 to 14 inches of wall clearance for the glide and recline motion.
Monte Design Matera Glider Recliner
Matera combines a reclining base with a softer, more traditional cushion shape. The plush seat and back cushions are attached, and the 19-inch seat depth is the shallowest of Monte Design's three main recliners.
Matera is a good place to start if you want a soft recliner but do not want Cortina's deepest seat. The hidden handle raises the footrest, and the chair arrives fully assembled.
Monte Design Luca Glider
Luca has simple lines, a high back, and arm height designed for feeding and long holds. It includes a lumbar pillow, and the seat cushion cover can be removed and washed.
Choose a wood base for glide-only movement or a metal base when you also want a 360-degree swivel. The matching Luca Ottoman is sold separately.
Monte Design Como Glider
Como is the softest standard glider in the current assortment. Its deep, down-like back cushion and soft seat make it the sink-in option, while tailored arms keep the shape clean.
The seat and back cushion covers are removable and washable. Choose a wood base for gliding or a metal base for gliding and 360-degree swivel, then add a coordinating ottoman if you want a place to put your feet up.
Monte Design Vera Glider
Vera is the roomiest Monte Design glider we sell. It measures 33 inches wide overall with a 26-inch interior seat, plus plush removable cushions and a high back.
Both cushion covers are washable. Vera needs about 6 to 8 inches behind it for the gliding motion, and it can be ordered with a glide-only wood base or a metal base that adds a 360-degree swivel.
Monte Design Gem Swivel Glider
Gem has a rounded, sculptural shape and a smaller visual footprint than Monte Design's high-back gliders. It glides and swivels, so it works well in a nursery, bedroom, or reading corner where you want movement without a recliner.
The swivel base is available in brushed silver or matte gold. The Gem Pouf Ottoman is sold separately and keeps the same soft, curved look.
Monte Design Ottomans
Our current Monte Design ottoman assortment includes the Round Storage Ottoman, Gliding Ottoman, Joya Ottoman, Luca Ottoman, and Gem Pouf Ottoman.
Match the upholstery first, then check the ottoman's motion, height, and shape. A gliding ottoman moves with the chair, a storage ottoman adds hidden room for blankets or toys, and the Gem Pouf gives you a compact stationary footrest.
Monte Design Glider vs Swivel Glider vs Glider Recliner
A glide-only chair moves forward and back. A swivel glider adds a 360-degree turn, which can help when you're reaching for a bassinet, side table, or crib. A glider recliner adds a footrest and a laid-back position.
Monte Design recliners stop gliding when the footrest comes up. If you want to keep gliding with your feet supported, pair a standard glider with an ottoman instead of choosing a recliner.
Cortina vs Matera vs Grano
Choose Cortina for the deepest seat and the softest, most pillowy cushions. Choose Matera for a shallower seat with soft attached cushions. Choose Grano for a medium-firm seat and a streamlined integrated back.
All three glide and recline, need about 12 to 14 inches behind the chair, and stop gliding once reclined. The feel is different enough that cushion shape and seat depth should guide the decision more than the silhouette alone.
Monte Design Fabrics and Responsible Materials
Monte Design chairs are handcrafted in Toronto and GREENGUARD Gold Certified. The brand uses sustainably sourced wood, gliding and reclining mechanisms made with 95 percent recycled steel, and foam without added flame-retardant chemicals.
Fabric choices include performance textiles, organic-cotton blends, cotton-linen, wool, boucle, velvet, and other options depending on the chair. Monte Design says its fabrics are PFAS-free. Cleaning instructions and textile certifications vary, so check the selected fabric before ordering.
Monte Design Made to Order Timing and Room Planning
Most current Monte Design chairs are made to order and ship in about 8 to 10 weeks, with another 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. That estimate can change by fabric, base, production volume, and destination.
Many made-to-order chairs are nonreturnable. Confirm the chair's overall width and depth, seat dimensions, wall clearance, fabric, base, and the full delivery path before checkout. If timing is tight, ask us to verify whether a quick-ship configuration is actually available.

What is the difference between the manual and motorized Cortina?
The manual Cortina uses a hidden handle to release and raise the footrest, and reclines further as you physically lean back. The motorized Cortina uses inset buttons for a smooth, powered recline (meaning the chair must be placed near a power outlet).
Can a Monte Design recliner keep gliding while reclined?

Because each piece is custom-built, most chair orders have an estimated production time of 8 to 10 weeks, followed by an additional 1 to 2 weeks for freight transit and delivery scheduling.
Do Monte Design chairs arrive assembled?
Yes. Current Monte Design chairs arrive fully assembled in the box. Because of this, it is absolutely critical that you measure your complete delivery path (doorways, hallway turns, stairs, and elevators) before ordering.
Can I return a Monte Design chair?
Because Monte Design chairs are made-to-order custom furniture in your specific fabric and base configuration, they are marked as nonreturnable. Double-check all dimensions, fabrics, and configurations before checking out.
