What’s New on Dragonfly Plus?

The Dragonfly Plus update is pretty sweet. It's already a favorite stroller of ours and it's just gotten better:

1) Longer canopy visor

The Dragonfly Plus gets a redesigned sun canopy with a longer visor. That matters because city stroller use means a lot of inconsistent light: low afternoon sun, sidewalks with no shade, outdoor dining, parks, train platforms, and errands that last longer than expected.

The XL UPF 50+ canopy already gives the stroller strong coverage. The longer visor makes that coverage feel more complete.

2) Matching color harness

The color-matching harness gives Dragonfly Plus a more premium, finished look. 

3) One-piece seat inlay

Dragonfly Plus has a redesigned seat inlay. The seat is now longer and made in a single piece. The seating area looks cleaner and feels more unified and we like it more, in our humble opinion. It changes how the stroller feels in person. Your kiddo is going to spend most of their time sitting in this stroller, so making it longer, cleaner, and more finished is a smart "Plus"-level update.

4) Back seat pocket

The new back seat pocket adds a small but useful storage point for essentials you want close. Phone. Keys. Pacifier. Small wipes pack. Root beer barrels. The kind of things you might need access to easily.

5) All-black buttons

Dragonfly Plus changes to all-black buttons for a cleaner, more premium look and feel. It is a small visual refinement, but it is noticeable, too.

6) Swivel wheel lock system

Dragonfly Plus is now enhanced with a swivel wheel lock system for better control in tight city spaces. 

7) Lower CO2 emissions

The One-Hand Fold Is Still the Dragonfly’s Knees

The fold is one of the big reasons Dragonfly stands out in the city stroller world. Dragonfly Plus keeps the things that make the original Dragonfly special (a one-hand fold with a patented self-standing design, and it can fold with the bassinet or seat attached) and add in a bunch of extras that parents are going to love.

Some strollers fold only after you remove half of the setup. That is a folding stroller, but not the same thing as what the Dragonfly does. A fold that works with the seat or bassinet attached really makes a difference when you are trying to get into a car, when you are living in a small apartment, or when you need to collapse it quickly near a restaurant table.

Maneuverability

Just because a stroller is compact and easy to store/use/move, that doesn't mean it's easy to push. Dragonfly Plus avoids that "why did I buy this" feeling with responsive steering, full suspension, and all-new high-performance urban wheels. It's nice to push this stroller and you'll feel it right away. 

The wheel sizes are 7" in the front and 8.5" in the back. This isn't a jogging stroller or an all-terrain tank. It is good at making sidewalks, curbs, parks, uneven pavement, and daily errands feel smoother, however.

The swivel wheel lock is nice, too! It adds another control point, essentially. When you want more maneuverability, the front wheel can move freely. When you need more predictable tracking, the lock gives you a more controlled feel to the push.

Storage 

Dragonfly Plus has two separate storage areas: the big basket and the moveable pocket.

The XL under-seat basket holds up to 22 lbs., which is big for a lightweight stroller. That has you covered for the daily stuff like a diaper bag, a hoodie for the little dude, toys, snacks, and a bottle or two. The expandable pocket is even more interesting because it can move to the rear, front, or handlebar. 

Seat Comfort

Dragonfly Plus updates the seat in a way that makes the stroller feel more finished. The seat is longer, now in a single piece, and paired with an extra-padded color-matching five-point harness.

The seat has 3 positions facing the world and 3 positions facing the parent. 

The New Canopy 

Dragonfly Plus includes an XL UPF 50+ sun canopy with a peek-a-boo window. It also has a longer sun canopy than before.

Parents use canopy coverage constantly: sun, wind, overstimulation, nap attempts, and the “please stop looking at my baby while we try to get through this errand” moments. The peek-a-boo window lets you check in without stopping and walking around the stroller.

This is a simple section, but it matters. Shade and visibility are daily-use features, not extras.

Newborn Setup

Dragonfly Plus can be used from newborn with the bassinet. It is also infant car seat compatible, and the car seat adapters come in the box.

That gives you two different newborn paths:

Bassinet setup

The bassinet setup is the more traditional newborn stroller option. It gives a dedicated newborn mode and still works with the Dragonfly Plus.

Infant car seat setup
