This is a fantastic mat for tummy time with a newborn. It's very large so there's room for baby and parent/siblings. The mat is soft, there are different textures and toys can be attached as desired. Mat can be folded and stows easily in a closet or under a bed or even a drawer if you have one big enough. Great mat.
