It's crazy how much additional space, the extension provided for my son. He's grown so quickly and right on time the extension provided the extra space that he needed to move about at night without feeling trapped and enough space to roam when he's awake waiting for mom and dad to come in, in the morning.

The easy for the extension was also helpful when my husband made the adjustments on afternoon.

Just put the extension together and it was really easy and provided so much more space for our growing baby! The directions didn't state so, but the mobile arm can be included in the extension, just be sure to leave it in the sides. Glad we can continue to use this crib past the newborn stage!

This beautifully designed crib has been our favorite item in our home for our first born to sleep safely in. From the first day he came home to adding the extension on at 4 months, he's literally grown up with this beautiful piece of furniture. The extension I might add is very easy to convert from nest egg shape to elongated oval. The last thing new parents want is to clumsily put together furniture and Stokke has seamlessly avoided any hassle.
