It is horrible

Does not read correctly. Says my son's temp is no more than 96.6 any time I check. When he was sick with a 102 fever it still read 96.6.

When Reading the reviews and everyone is saying the battery life is short because "LO"is always showing. People that doesn't mean it's your battery. It's telling you the temperature taken is below a fever. Do yourself a favour and read the information that comes with it. It's one of the simplest thermometers I've used. Don't overthink it.

I work in the medical field, and have tested various thermometers, both at work and at home with my newborn twins. This product is by far the worst on the market and the only one I would give a 1 out of 5 star rating. Completely inaccurate. This product should be taken off the market.

Don't buy! It's not work! 1 month life time!

What a disappointment. First we kept getting "error" with 2 sick kids. Then for the next round of illness battery died. Not awesome at midnight with a screaming baby. Not investing in this brand again!

Terrible product. Not easy to use with toddlers

When I 1st bought it,work great but after a few months it didn't read accurately, I followed the instructions and it wouldn't work properly, I know my son had a fever but it wouldn't give accurate results it kept reading Lo

Worthless! Nothing like having a thermometer that as soon as you open the package, ITS DEAD! I have an epileptic child who has severe episode when she has a fever. Under arm thermometers don't read right on her so we were ecstatic to finally have an ear thermometer. It's hard enough to financially replace the one we just got and it sucks that your product could literally be a huge part in saving our daughters life. I will never recommend this to anyone!

Can't even use it ! Low battery even the new ones !

worked twice...battery then died. replaced with the correct one and now it just says err!!! piece of junk. how are you allowed to sell this garbage?

The first few times I used this thing, I thought I was the luckiest mom ever because my child never ran a fever. Then we go to the doctor, and he's got a fever; this happened more than once. Battery dies, replace it, and finally get the ring working again (it would not turn on after the battery change), only to get readings of higher than 102 on every person in the house!

I had bought this product because it said it was fast and accurate. I could tell my child had a fever so I took his temp with this thermometer and it read 98.8. I knew that wasn't true so I used an under arm thermometer and it read 101.3. Big difference!

This product was not good. I out a brand new battery in 3 times and it read low battery and then would not take a reading. Unreliable especially when a child has a fever and first time parent. Thank goodness for a back up.made by Braun

I've barely used this and it tells me the battery is dead. So I bought a new battery used it a few times and it's dead again. It also is not very accurate. Gives me different readings back to back.

The point of using this product is to have a quick, convenient, accurate way of getting a child's temperature. I get a LO (error message) most of the time and would have spent far less time just using a regular armpit thermometer. I ended up waking my sick baby because it was VERY DIFFICULT to get a reading. Whether it's accurate or not is a different story. Bad, bad product.

This thermometer is terrible. My son has a temp of over 101 with a under arm thermometer, this one only says 97.3. It makes my son cry every time we try to use it, and the buttons on it don't make sense. Don't waste your money I know I wish I didnt.

Received this as a gift, but can't figure out how to use it. I don't know why it's so complicated. I lost the manual and instructions won't download, I had to change the battery the first time I tried using it. They should have labeled the buttons.

I came yo the product page to get the instruction manual and was surprised to see all the negative reviews. We've had several grocery-store-cheap digital under-arm thermometers and those are terrible. We've also had 'nice' thermometers that were clearly superior to the grocery store brands. When our last one broke (the kido tried prying something open with it) we decided to go premium and got this one. I would say it's accurate and easy to use and fast (Trifecta!). It's also easy to read (even in a dark room) and easy to operate. I'm not sure how reviewers say it's hard to use. It's one button to turn it on/measure and another button to turn it off. It's also well built and comfortable to hold. The best feature is the "1 second" read time -- it really is one second -- which is great considering a lot of the 6- or 10-second thermometers take a lot longer than advertised.

This product had a low battery out of the box and it's actually quite hard to use. It's not clear if the temperature is the current one or a stored one.. It's just really not a great product that should be straight forward.

I can't say it is accurate, but at least I can see any change in temperature. It is quick enough so that my grandchildren don't fuss too much.

Very difficult to use. You do not get accurate readings.

I like that there is a sad face or smily face, however I cannot change it from C to F and it asks me to clean it often and i do but it doesn't register. two buttons and I don't know what they do I had to use a sharpy to remind me. not sure how long to hold the button down to get temp. I was tired of the across the forehead, since it wouldn't read the same number twice. that one is the worst. I thought an ear reader would be better and efficient. it's complicated when i can't get the right reading. I like that it's fast but still don't trust these new thermometers. I wish I had an old mercury one, those were reliable.

I would type things that are great about this product, but there isn't. It worked the first time and that was it! After that, I would have to change out the battery every single time I used it and now it doesn't even turn on! I only see LO on the screen and it's a brand new battery! Since I bought a 6-pack of 2032 batteries, I figure it was that one battery, nope, it was all 6 batteries that didn't work!!!!

Terrible. Doesn't turn off. Doesn't work. PDF from website is useless.

Child ill so came online to read manual to see if using correctly. PDF download is broken so can't check. Reading other comments the link is already known to be broken. Very poor form safety 1st team, very poor form! Will be returning and swapping for an alternative brand.

This product works well and once you read the manual you can understand it.

This product should be easy to use. With a crying baby this should be mindless to use. Its not. I can't turn it off so I have to get new batteries. It may be easier to buy a new and different thermometer. I need one that is ready to go when needed and not 'dead' from a dead battery

Buttons not marked purchased this in April. And have hated it from day one. Now the day I really need to use it. It is not functioning properly. Will never buy this product again and do not recommend it at all. I will now have to purchase a different one now.

Somehow mine got switched to Celsius and I cannot figure out how to change it back to F. Came here to read some instructions and the pdf doesn't work. Please can someone please tell me how to work this thing? It makes no sense!!

This product is terrible, the readings are not accurate. And is difficult to use.

Buttons aren't clearly labelled, so it's difficult to understand what their functions are, including how to turn it on. Thermometer gives inaccurate readings. Got three different readings three times in a row. Has useless "fever light" to tell when kid has a fever. Big deal. Doesn't the temperature indicate that already? Would gladly trade that feature for ease of switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Difficulty with switching from Celsius to Fahrenheit lead me to check here for instructions, and the pdf doesn't open.

Thermometer is difficult to switch Fahrenheit and when I tried you search for documentation online I found this link and manual shows some gibberish (corrupt pdf file). thermometer actually shows one degree lower than actual temperature. I compared with professional thermometer at doctor's place.
