This item is discontinued.
Description
Mountain Buggy bagrider is a problem solver for families who are traveling and struggle having to take a buggy and carry on luggage. It offers effortless travel time for families, as it transforms into a traveling seat for toddlers up to 15kg/ 33lbs, whilst still retaining its luggage storage capacity. When not a traveling seat, bagrider can quickly transform back into a normal 2-wheel carry on suitcase!

Simplicity

Bagrider takes the fuss out of family travel, and offers a simple solution for parents traveling with tired toddlers.

Adaptability

Bagrider offers dual functionality going from carry on mode, to the travelling seat mode by a simple twist of a dial and comes with an easy-to-attach cushioned seat liner. The back of the seat liner features an elasticated mesh pocket for easy to access storage, perfect for passports or phone!

Maneuverability

With two sets of wheels (four in total), bagrider can be easily manoeuvred depending on your mode of use. Use all four when used as the travelling seat, and transform to use two wheels when in carry on mode.

Safety for your child

Along with the cushioned seat liner, Bagrider includes a 3-point safety harness with adjustable straps, so your little one will be safe and secure. Safety tested to 15kgs/33lbs of weight, the Bagrider is made truly Mountain Buggy tough!

Works well enough, but wheels are not ideal
September 18, 2019
We were recently traveling with 2 kids and only 1 stroller, so rather than buying an additional stroller, this seemed like a great way to contain 1 kiddo. We intended to use it for my 1 year old but she wasn't secure enough on it so we used it for my 30lb 3 year old instead. He said it was very comfortable and he liked riding on it. The problem is that the wheels do not do great going into elevators or trams, so moving through a busy airport, it was a little bit of an extra hassle. Coming home he preferred to sit on the front of our stroller rather than riding on this so in the end, it was a waste of money for us and I will likely sell it :/
Pros
  • - Extra seat available for a kiddo that stores when not in use
  • - Good packing room in the suitcase with 2 zones
  • - Fits easily in overhead bin
Cons
  • - No easy storage place for the rumble seat. You have to keep it in the suitcase, open it up and pull it out or put it in another bag.
  • - Wheels need to be bigger, they are too small.

We’ve only been using this around the house, but I’m excited to try in our at the airport next month. Inside isn’t as big as a normal carry-on, but it seems light.

I saw this on FB...

So I saw this inn fB when I was 8 months pregnant and knew I needed it for our first trip. Out little girl will be about 8 months when we take our first trip and we are so excited. It was ready to go but I didn’t know how to set up the seat. I put it on YouTube and found out there was a little loop close to the zipper.

This was easy to adjust from simple carry-on to ride-along-traveling-vehicle. Our baby loved sitting up higher and having more freedom than being in his stroller. So convenient when traveling with baby!!
Pros

  • Baby loved it.
  • Seems to be well-made (thought we've only used on one trip thus far.)
Best Uses
  • Airport travel

It is a wonderful product, saves a stress from dealing with a running toddler. The inside has a zipping part which is cool. Switching to ride on was pretty easy.

Efficient and versatile!

I love this thing! It makes travelling a breeze and it's so versatile. There was a learning curve with the mechanism of switching from stroller to carry-on but once we figured it out it was amazing. Definitely a lot of looks, wows, and praises. The -1 star is for the wheels. They're tiny so they get caught in elevator gaps or anything off the floor. I got used to elevator gaps but sometimes there are random things on the floor that still take me by surprise. I'm still so sold and definitely recommend it!
Cons
  • tiny wheels

Great for my toddler. We travel a lot and once my son turned about 14 months I know I had to do something. He wanted to walk/ run through the airports but when you are at Atlanta/ DFW/ LAX it just isnt safe with so many people and you are usually short on time... this was the perfect fix for me. My family all have strollers at there homes so at airports I was stuck either taking mine or having him run through them. He was finally to big for me to carry in our carrier for my back. This has been a lifesaver for me! It works great and isnt that exspensive. Fits in over head bins and holds clothes/ diapers for my son! I love it! If you travel much this is a must! And with my second one coming soon I'm so glad I invested in this for my family!
Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Has extra storage
Best Uses
  • Airports

Is this a carry on bag or a check in size?
The Mountain Buggy Bagrider measures approximately 20" H x 15" W x 10" D. Please note, the dimensions of the overhead compartments on the plane will determine if the item will fit. Also, please ensure to contact your airline to verify if the item is approved for carry-on, as regulations for carry-on items vary from carrier to carrier.
