I purchased this for my toddler daughter who loves to draw and paint. I also purchased M&D crayons and chalk at the same time. The crayons are basically wax with little to no color that actually comes off on paper. The chalk would not work on the chalkboard, so I just assumed that it was bad chalk since the crayons were such poor quality. Unfortunately after purchasing Crayola chalk, I realized that it's not the chalk that is the problem- it's the chalk board. We're considering painting over it with chalk paint to see if that will work. Very disappointed since I thought M&D would be much better quality, especially for the price point that we paid for it.
