Bought 2 sets. These are going to be Christmas presents for my 2 youngest grandkids (ages 2 and 3). They' are VERY nice!

The kids seemed to be really happy that the puzzle was an alphabet train.

The puzzle is a nice floor puzzle and you need room for the whole thing to lay out straight - its long. That said the pieces are a nice size and contain a number of alphabet learning cues; both lower and upper case printed letters, an animal with that letter (although FOX for X can be odd for a child), the spelling of the animal with letter. There is not so much puzzle thinking to fit the letters together as to know and practice the alphabet.

Our family loves this product! The kids play with it all the time. However the pieces keep peeling apart. We have purchased 2 sets and the same thing happens. I was surprised as normally Melissa & Doug products are amazing, however this particular product is not living up to the quality we have come to expect from M&D products.

Sturdy like all M&D puzzles. Appreciate the phonetic details like having "fox" represent the X. My almost 3yo needs help ordering the pieces right now, but loves it.

Fun puzzle!
Bought for 3,4, & 5 yr old grands. 5 yr old was too busy to play. 4 yr old already knew alphabet well enough she was a pro, but still excited. 3 yr old in love with any kind of puzzle right now, including this one - he was sleep-crying during the night after working on this one. Momma said he told her, "I just want to play with my puzzles!", and then he fell back to sleep.

This alphabet train is my grandson's favorite ... the letters and pictures are colorful and fun to put together... 10 feet long... impressive when complete.

Our 4 year old granddaughter, Pearl, received this puzzle and loves it - her favorite. We had to buy it for our 3 year old twins - Henry and Ellie. Henry loves puzzles and immediately started putting it together. We really like that your puzzles are so durable and colorful!

My son loves this puzzle. But every time I think about the piece for 'X', I figuratively become homicidal. If 'U' could stand for umbrella, then why couldn't 'X' stand for xylophone? X-ray? "E is for elephant," I say. "J is for jaguar... N is for narwhal", I continue on. "X is for the 'x' in fox," the words awkwardly tumble from my lips. Seriously?!

My 4 year old nephew loved the puzzle. He loved that it has animals and I love that it has letters and is helping him learn the alphabet.

Kids love this however the "I" piece was not included.... right out of the wrapped box, disappointing!

The best puzzle ever for my 2 1/2 year old. Sequencing, alphabets, animals, letter sounds. And FUN ! I recommend this to all pre-preschoolers Except for (u) umbrella and I forget the other no animal letter. What's with that !

This is our favorite puzzle.

This puzzle helped my son learn his alphabet. he has been putting it together for over a year and he still loves it.

This puzzle is fantastic for my 2 year old! He loves all the animals and has learned the alphabet in less than a week. We scatter the pieces on the floor and I tell him the order. Then he searches for the letter and adds it to the train. He absolutely loves it!

My son used this when he was 1 year and looked for the animals that I would name. Then he would match the animal and the letter (ie B for Bear). Later he put the alphabet in order. We love that it is educational and fun for a variety of stages. The pieces are very thick and durable and it is worth every penny!

This is the only puzzle that both my 2 and 4-year-olds will do together without squabbling. It's one of the best ways I've found of entertaining them in the kitchen while I'm busy.
