great look, terrible practicality
May 19, 2010
I liked the look of this carseat, the size/padding etc, but the fabric panels in orange were a jersey material that immediately begin to wear and eventually pulled apart at the seams. It is a mess and replacing the cover will cost as much as a new carseat. Also, both my mother and my son are unable to release the latch as it requires a great deal of pressure.
Pros
  • Construction seems good, aside from jersey fabric panels.
Cons
  • latch is very difficult to work, orange fabric disintegrated. Difficult to remove cover.

Love it!

We got this seat over a month ago and absolutely love it! I was a little worried at first what the color would look like, but have been very pleased with the outcome. The picture makes it look like a brown fabric, but I would have to say in the light it is more of a dark green. I know it doesn't look that way in the picture....and it didn't look that way at home in my living room, but when we got in the sunlight, I could see the difference. There are also a tons of reviews that complain that the straps twist, but I haven't had a problem yet. I would definetly reccomend this seat as it is trendy and functional. My son can even see out the window with it in the rear facing position. The cup holder was an added bonus too! We love it!

I did a lot of research on my son's one year old car seat and bought two others before I found this one. I love the recline feature in the forward facing position. I can do it with one hand at a red light when he falls asleep. The installation is a dream with the latch belt system this car seat has. It lost one star because it is a little bulky but fits great in my 2004 Subaru Forester.

I did much research before buying a convertable car seat and for our needs this was the best one...hands down. I love the fabric, keeps my little one much cooler than with his other car seat. He's rear facing right now, so the recline (which is manditory for RF seats) is comfortable for him. It is a compact seat and lighter than most. And if you did have to switch this seat from car to car...the set up is an absolute breeze. Something not mentioned in other reviews are the awesome 'seat-belt' like latches (for the little hook things that are built into your car's seats - can't think of the name). Anyway, great seat.
