We're grandparents who help care for our grandchild two days a week and whenever her parents have to be out of town. We have one Maxi -Cosi (an earlier generation of this one) in one of our cars. We love it so much that we decided we'd spring for a second one in the other car, so we don't need to transfer it back and forth. Not to mention, at some point a sibling will come along, and we'll need two regardless. Love the fact that these seats rate so well in crashes and less important, but still a factor in why we buy; the fact they come in pretty colors other than plain old black. We purchased this one in aegean storm. Our first is a violet purple color.

We bought this car seat over a month now and I am really impressed of how comfortable and ease it is to take my son in and out of it. I love the color 💜 and love the cushions on each side of the head. It makes it really easy to rest his head when he is napping.

Great carseat for what I needed! It's definitely heavy so not one to be moved very much but works in our car and my daughter seems to love it!

Love the fact that the chair is rear facing and then transforms into a forward facing and can be adjusted as the kids grow. Both of my kids have these chairs. We have 4 of them in 2 cars

It’s a nice seat, spacious for my kid. However, it’s difficult to install and heavy to carry. Overall, my son loves it.

The Magellan XP is a great car seat! It defiantly held up to the quality and expectations you would have for Maxi Cosi and it did not disappoint.

Car seat was easy to install. Baby seems comfortable and likes his seat! Definitely measure your car to make sure the car seat will fit the space needed, it is a large/wide car seat!

I had the car carrier from maxi cosi and the straps were hard to loosen. This seat is so simple to loosen. Additionally, as she has grown taller I have been able to adjust the headrest so her shoulders aren’t scrunched. The buckle has little holders to make sure they don’t fall under the baby as you put them in the seat. The buckle itself, I think, is a little too deap into the buckle cover at the crotch and makes it hard to clasp and also unclasp. Warning that this seat is huge and bulky but it is very comfortable for her.

I’ve been using Mxi Cosi for 8yrs and have never left anything but a 5 Star review...until now.

Maxi Cosi tried to put too much into this seat and in doing so, screwed up a simple but necessary component—the latch between the legs. It is NOT long enough!! It’s so short and deep into the seat, that it takes takes significant effort to push in the belt! It’s horrible!! It’s so deep into the seat that I’m not sure my baby’s legs will survive having it between her legs rather than being higher than her legs(where it’s supposed to be).

I would not recommend this seat for this reason.

We upgraded to this carseat from our Nuna Pipa for our 7 month old and really like it. It has all the features you want and is more comfortable for our son. We bought a Diono originally but realized not all carseats are for all cars but we like this one just as much!
