I love it
November 29, 2016
Joovy groove ultralight is simply amazing! It has all the specifications of the uppa baby gluxe minus the hefty price tag. I have a 3 year old girl and 8 month old baby and they share with the stroller. It's very light and yet space and usage is not at all compromised. The recline is almost flat, and seat is wide. Also convenient for public transpo. I highly recommend this stroller!

Perfect for Disney trips!
August 7, 2016
The groove ultralight is exactly what I was looking for to take to Disneyland! It is light but so sturdy! I haven't seen another umbrella stroller that is so solidly built. It folds & unfolds easily (though I can't unfold it with one hand) and gets on/off the tram no problem. We were able to load it up with a shopping bag and camera bag in the bottom storage and a packed jujube bff across the handlebars, and I was so impressed that it didn't threaten to tip even when the baby wasn't in the stroller. It maneuvers easily in crowds and across the bumpy bricks at the park. And the storage pockets are a wonderful plus! The brakes are easy to lock and unlock, even while wearing flip flops. The recline is great- my baby is not a stroller napper and she conked out in the groove ultralight! The sunshade is fantastic for a stroller this size- I only wish the extended piece would stay tucked away when I don't want so much coverage but I'd rather have that "issue" than not have the extra shade at all. I got this specifically for Disney trips, but I now just leave it in my car all the time for trips out and about since it folds up so much smaller and easier than my big expensive stroller.

Excellent Umbrella Stroller!
July 28, 2016
I was provided this stroller in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own. We absolutely love this stroller. It fits all of our needs. I desperately needed an umbrella stroller that folded up small enough to fit in the middle row of my van, since the ramp for other sons' wheelchair takes up the whole back of my van. This is lightweight but pushes really well. I love all the storage provided and how comfortable he seems while riding.

Smooth ride, lightweight, nice design
June 24, 2016
I bought this primarily because our only stroller was a heavy Bob jogger and I will be traveling solo with my 21 month old daughter next week. Plus, I just wanted something smaller and lightweight for everyday. I've been very happy with the design and functionality of other Joovy products we have used. The Groove Ultralight is no exception. It's super light, smooth and easy to "drive," and small enough to keep in the entry way -- plus it's attractive! I also that the canopy is high enough so it's not touching her head when not in use and the storage below is easy access. I would definitely recommend!

Lightweight traveler with all the features
June 16, 2016
I LOVE this stroller! Joovy never disappoints! The stroller is light and folds compactly, but has a full recline and an excellent canopy! It drives smoothly and has plenty of storage for traveling essentials. The kids are comfortable - even my tall 7yo has been known to try and catch a ride and can even nap in it for a short break during sightseeing. I bought it for my 2yo and have the ride along board for my 4yo, but they have all ridden comfortably and often take turns on long days. We travel a lot and this stroller has withstood a lot! My only complaint is that the seat cover is not removable and therefore difficult to get clean after long messy trips.

My go-to stroller
June 14, 2016
As a mom of three, I've tested a lot of strollers. This was our third "umbrella"-like stroller but don't let the name deceive you. This stroller packs a punch and is worth every dollar. I have used this stroller for the last 4 years on a weekly basis and love it. It is lightweight and recently took it to NYC with my 5 year old daughter. We were walking 12+ miles a day and knew her little legs couldn't go that far. But even as a very tall girl, she was able to sit comfortable and take naps in the stroller. The back part lays flat and makes for a good nap.

Great for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers!
June 10, 2016
If you're looking for an awesome lightweight stroller for your toddler or preschooler, then the Joovy Groove is the one for you! Not only is it easy to maneuver and holds all of our stuff, it's compact and fits into any spot perfectly. One of the most important reasons why we love our Joovy Groove and have ditched our "other" umbrella stroller after receiving it for review is the fact that my 5 year old daughter and 1 year old daughter can both use the stroller and still be comfortable. And when my son was younger (around 4) he still fit too! Another amazing feature I absolutely love? The maneuvering of this stroller!! Seriously... it's like I'm gliding on air it's so smooth. I can swivel and turn in my place without getting stuck or having to use any force whatsoever. Such a change from my old stroller! This Groove seriously made our family happy!

Many features- compact size
April 15, 2016
Very sturdy, very durable! Happy with this purchase so far! I was looking for something that had the features of my large jogging stroller, but could fit better in my trunk and be more portable while traveling. This reclines easily, has a huge sun shade that even protects my infant, and has a good amount of storage for an umbrella style. My 3.5 year old also fits perfectly. I had a cheap umbrella stroller for my older child and you get what you pay for. This is worth the investment. My only issue is that the handles are a tad high for me. I am 5'2" and I notice they are just slightly higher than I would like, but not enough to downgrade my rating. It's the perfect height for my husband and anyone taller than me will be quite comfortable with this!
Pros
  • Reclines for infants, massive sunshade, easy to maneuver, compact fold without needing to remove the sunshade
Best Uses
  • Traveling, running errands, being on-the-go

Awesome stroller
March 20, 2016
Absolutely love this stroller! I like that it's not short like most umbrella strollers. The seat is a good size and deep, so it can easily accommodate an older toddler. Very easy to push and very sturdy. Great basket underneath. It's a little hard to open and fold up the stroller but for me that's not a big deal.

This is the stroller we use the most!
March 8, 2016
I looked at the other high-end umbrella style strollers on the market and decided on this one after much research. I love everything about it! My favorite feature is the extra large canopy. It is easy to fold, lightweight, sturdy, and my daughter loves riding in it. The Blueberry color looks great. My other strollers must feel neglected because this is the stroller we use the most. Joovy customer service is excellent. The quality of the Joovy Groove Ultralight stroller and the excellent customer service is the primary reason I decided to also purchase the Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight jogging stroller.

Great stroller. Easy to open/close. Canopy provides best coverage next to my Uppababy Vista. Considered buying Uppababy Gluxe instead, but one review said this one fit their child better height wise & I'd agree. Easy to recline/incline & carry strap was really handy on our recent flight. My friend pushed it today & said she loved it. She has a 2 year old & 5 year old.

Great for Toddlers
December 11, 2015
We have been looking for a stroller that has a wide enough seat that my 2.5 year old would feel comfortable. He is large for his size (height wise) and the umbrella stroller (Uppababy G-Luxe) was too small. Don't get me wrong we love Uppababy and their strollers are great but he outgrew it. We highly recommend this stroller above the Maxi Cosi Kaia bc the canopy is longer. Hope this helps.

I'm so happy I purchased the Joovy Groove Ultralight through Albee Baby. I found it on here for way cheaper than anywhere else, and I had looked for weeks! Shipping was super fast. I had it in less than a week from when I ordered it with free shipping! The stroller is awesome! I love the big canopy and how well it moves for an umbrella stroller. It's very roomy which is a plus because I wanted something that would grow with my daughter. Very satisfied!

I love the Joovy line! I have the Caboose Ultralight also. I wanted a light weight stroller for the days when I only need to push my 7 month old around without her older sister. Because of the price tag I went and bought a cheaper alternative. It's sitting in the garage after a few times of use while this prized possession stands proudly in the entrance way. This stroller is super sturdy, very roomy and very light. The brakes are so easy to apply with just a toe touch. No prying them up with your font ruining your shoes! Another big selling point for me is that i'm 5'10" and my husband is 6'1" and this is more than tall enough for both of us to push comfortably. My 7 month old looks tiny in it which is so great because I need it to grow with her. I would never again look at any other brands. Worth every penny!

Best Umbrella Stroller!
October 16, 2014
I have been on the market for a lightweight umbrella stroller for over 3 years since my first son was born but have had no luck until I tried the Groove UL. I wanted something that felt sturdy but weighed almost nothing so it was easy to carry around with my two boys. The Groove UL has surpassed my expectations. When open, it feels super sturdy, it can even hold my diaper bag (that probably weighs more than the stroller itself!) when my son is in the stroller. This was important to me because it's tough to carry a diaper bag and push a stroller at the same time. It has two mesh pockets in the corners of the seats for snacks and sippy cups that are very useful. The basket underneath is such a great size and the canopy is huge! So important for sun protection in So Cal. The adjustable straps are so useful so I can use the stroller for my 8 month old or my 3.5 year old and both love it. The seat reclines (huge!), and the leg rest adjusts up and down for the different heights. The fabric is great quality and easy to clean. I couldn't be happier with this stroller and have recommended it to friends!

Our favorite Umbrella Stroller
October 16, 2014
This stroller weighs less than 13 lbs and is wonderful for travel or strolling around town. It's easy to carry with it's built in strap. For a compact, lightweight stroller, it has a lot of features that umbrella strollers often do not: a zippered pocket and cup holder directly on the back, a large storage area underneath, and 2 mesh storage areas on the side. The side pouches might not seem like a big deal, but wait until your little one wants a spot for their sippy cup and favorite toys - then it becomes a game changer for getting them to sit in the stroller! You can also attach Joovy's Bumprider to it when another child comes along and easily push two little ones along. Disclaimer: I received this item at no charge for the purpose of review. Opinions are my own.

In love with Joovy!
April 6, 2014
Recently received my new Joovy Groove and absolutely love it! Both my little ones (ages 3 and 1) love riding in this stroller. I love it because as a mom of 6 I find this super easy to fold and unfold so I'm not taking my eyes off of them to try and wrestle with the stroller. The seat is very spacious and comfy, love the zipper pouch for me as I can fit keys and my phone with loads of room left. The dual mesh cup holders are super convenient and the mesh pockets in the seat are big enough to accommodate sippy and snack cups. We are going to Disney World for three days next month and I am super pleased that we will have this stroller as it folds beautifully and is nice and light. Also let me mention that I was completely blown away by Joovys amazing customer service. After several (non Joovy) strollers I am finally happy to have found one that makes both my children and I happy. Thank you Joovy!!

So far, so good
April 4, 2014
My son is 3, 45 pounds and about 3 ft tall. I needed a stroller that would fit in my small SUV trunk, and hold his weight. I have a jogger, which is great for walks but I needed a stroller for the quick store trips and also to bring to Disney in July. My Joovy arrived yesterday and I immediately put my son in it. I love that it isn't hard to push him around in it and his feet aren't dragging on the ground. It is a bit tricky to fold up but with time I'm sure it will get easier. It also fits nicely in my trunk and doesn't take up much space. So far, it's a win! I was debating between the Joovy and Maclaren Triumph. I think I made the right decision.

Love the stroller + great customer svc!!
April 2, 2014
Ordered this online and needed it shipped asap to Canada. The Joovy customer service team was excellent in addressing my concerns and helping to ensure I got the stroller in time for my trip. Was SUPER excited when I got it. The blue/green colour combination is unique and looks fabulous. Very easy to set up. Folding and unfolding is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I purchased a seat liner and parent organizer in matching colours and the stroller folds fine with everything still attached. The weight is pretty good (it's one of the lightest on the market) even with all the extras I installed. Also, in comparison to other high-end umbrella strollers on the market, it doesn't feel as flimsy. The only "cons" I have (and they are very minor) are: 1) the shoulder strap is on the same side as the foot pedal you push to close the stroller - you need to move the strap out of the way so you don't end up stepping on it; and 2) the basket is small and says it only holds up to 5lbs. Minor grievances considering all the number of pros this stroller has. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is b/c I haven't used it yet...however, I am confident that I made the right choice and look forward to taking it on our trip (plane ride + Caribbean cruise). So glad I bought it.

Worth every penny
April 29, 2013
I looked at several play yards before purchasing this. I even bought a different play yard and returned it. I have a split level house and need a playard in different parts of the house. I just didn't want to take it up and down the stairs and full assemble and disassemble multiple times a day. Storage space is another issue in our home. Lastly, my husband and I both have back issues and wanted something a bit lighter. This ultralight playard had all of the above plus the material is great and there are wheels too. Now grandma can also easily use this. It is pricier than others but it was worth it. There simply isn't any other product out there like this. The only suggestion would be that- I wish it was as big as the joovy room2 regular playard.

Love this Stroller!
March 3, 2013
I've been on the lookout for an umbrella stroller that will work for my baby girl as well as my 5 year old son. Joovy came to mind right away because I have owned several of their strollers and they have all been awesome! And I have to brag about their customer service as well. I have needed replacement wheels and their customer service was so great and got them to me so fast! I love knowing they will be there to help me should the need arise. The Joovy Groove Umbrella Stroller is perfect for both of my children because it can hold up to 55 lbs. So no matter which child I need it for it works. It arrived in a long box and was almost all together already. All I had to do was snap the front wheels and the canopy on. It took me less than 5 minutes. Right away I was impressed. I got the Orangie color and it is so bright and fun! My kids immediately took a liking to it. I love that it has reflective light technology so you will be seen even in the dark. You can see this from the flash in my images. As you can see (image below) my 5 year old fits well in the stroller. I love that you can use it from a 3 month old baby to a big boy 5 year old! (and he still has head room to spare). I love that it is lightweight (weighs only 17lbs.) so it is easy for me to pick it up and put it in my trunk. It even has a carrying handle which makes it even easier to carry it while it's folded! It folds really compactly which makes it really nice for taking on trips. We are planning a trip to Disneyland soon and we are flying. This stroller will be so easy to fold up and check in for the flight and it won't take up a lot of space in the rental car either. Another bonus is the bright orange color, we will know where our stroller is at Disneyland (you know the sea of strollers in the stroller parking areas)...Folded dimensions: 16.5" H x 13.5" W x 42" D It is simple to fold. You just pull up on the handle, then press your foot on the latch on the right side. Once it is folded there is a lock on the side that will keep it folded. To unfold you just pull the lock back, open the stroller and press on the foot pad. I like that the canopy is so big. It can be opened partially or fully. It provides great sun coverage! The canopy also has a viewing window. It can be shut with velcro or rolled open and secure with a loop. There are 2 bottle/drink holders on the back as well as a zippered pocket for storing your keys, cell phone, etc... The basket underneath is a pretty good size for an umbrella stroller. I can't fit my big diaper bag in there, but I can fit a small bag, or a couple small shopping bags. Still it is bigger than your average umbrella stroller basket, which is nice. The brakes are easy to put on and take off using your foot. There is a brake on each back wheel. There are mesh net cup holders on both sides of your child so you can put their drink, bottle, toys or snacks by them. The 5 point harness is easy for me to buckle and unbuckle (but not easy for baby). And you can adjust the height and length of the straps to fit your baby. The seat reclines back to 149 degrees. It is a strap recline. To recline you press on the tab and pull. You can put it to any level you want. Then to sit the seat upright you just pull the strap. It is really simple to do and I love that it reclines (a lot of umbrella strollers do not). A recline is a must have for me since my babies sleep a lot! The footrest adjusts up which makes it much more comfortable for a smaller baby. As you can see it supports her legs fully. Then you can lower it for an older baby or child. I love this lightweight umbrella stroller because it has great features, is easy to steer and is a great quality and value! The front wheels swivel making it easy to steer (and they lock if needed). I highly recommend this stroller! I received this stroller from Joovy for this review, but all opinions are my own.

I like most things about it...
February 24, 2013
I've had this stroller for 8 months and my daughter has used it since birth. There are a lot of things I like about it, namely the reclining option and it's fairly compact and lightweight; easy to lug around with you everywhere. The wheels are GREAT for rough terrain. I just lock the front wheels and it tackles even my bumpy rock landscape yard. Someone made a comment about the mesh cupholders on the back. It's true they're not that great for drinks, but I usually end up throwing my keys or phone in there instead. The basket is pretty roomy, so I just throw water bottles in there. The sunshade is a little deceiving. It looks very large, but when I put my small baby in it, only the top of her head was shaded. At first I was annoyed, and then I realized there are 2 velco straps that keep the sunshade in place. If you undo them you can tilt the sunshade even further down, giving your baby full coverage from the sun. Once your kid is tall enough it doesn't look like you'll have to detach the velco any more. Also, when I got this stroller the breaks were pretty stiff, and then seemed to get worse the longer I had it (probably dirt got in the joints). I just sprayed a little DW-40 in the joints, and it works perfectly now. I like how the brakes are designed so you don't have to use the top of your shoe to unlock them. My only real complaint about this stroller is that I purchased the greenie color. I like the color, but when the stroller is folded the wheels touch the sunshade. Now the inside of the sunshade has these very obvious large black marks against the light green color that I haven't been able to wipe off.

An ideal lightweight stroller
March 26, 2012
This stroller has it all. I'm particularly fond of the oversized sun shade, and the peek-a-boo window, and I love that there are mesh pockets next to my son (so that when he's older, he can carry his own beverages and toys). No detail was overlooked, from the handle on the side to the large ergonomic handles. This stroller has unbelievable maneuverability and is lightweight, which makes it ideal for practically any use. I gave the stroller a multi-terrain test (pavement, gravel, grass, rocks) and it passed with flying colors. Groove comes in black, but with colors like Greenie, why be subdued? I love Joovy's celebration of childhood with bright and cheerful colors. My only issues with the stroller have been (1) I think that the cupholders work well for bottles, but I think my tall travel mug might bounce around a bit, and (2) I had to look at the instruction manual to figure out how to fold the stroller the first time. (Luckily, the manual is short and is illustrated). This stroller is built to last. My son is only 6 months old, and the stroller holds him well. But he has lots of room to grow into this stroller. I appreciate that I won't have to buy another stroller for quite a while. In case it's not obvious -- I LOVE my Joovy Groove!

So easy to manuever!
March 21, 2012
I just love how the stroller looks. It has a unique and modern style that other strollers don't have. The part where the baby rests can be reclined and the part where his feet rest can also be adjusted which is great especially for my baby who's really particular when it comes to his position so I love that I can change it depending on how my baby wants to sit or lie down. Having a baby with me means that I always need to have a lot of stuff to bring so it's very important for me that the stroller I use has a basket for my stuff and my baby's, as well as a place where I can put his milk bottles. And Joovy Groove has both of those! I won't need to worry about having such a hard time bringing all that stuff because this stroller can carry all of those. And the most important thing, SAFETY! The Joovy Groove Stroller has an adjustable 5-point harness with removable shoulder pads as well as reflective light technology for when you're using it at night. It also has "breaks" on the wheels which helps me breathe easier because I know that all possible safety nets have been considered by the manufacturer and I know that my baby is safe as he uses this stroller. My mother-in-law was so impressed by this stroller that she volunteered to take my baby out so I could take a photo and video of him in it. She loved how easy it was to maneuver the stroller so she could head to a different direction. It didn't feel heavy and the wheels promptly faced the direction to which she steered it. She also tried pushing the stroller on the grassy part of the yard outside our apartment and she noticed that even then, it was so light and easy to move the Joove Groove Stroller. Definitely a great product that my baby will keep for a loooooooong time! Since it can hold up to 55 lbs. and my baby is only 18 lbs., it looks like this one's a keeper until baby's too big for it.

Most useful, well made stroller EVER!
November 19, 2011
The JOOVY GROOVE is the best stroller i have ever used, and i've tried many different types and brands, even high end brands. First of all, the Groove is very sturdy with a lightweight strong aluminum frame. It folds compactly saving trunk space. It has a large seat which comfortable seats my 3.5 year old, and reclines completely! The leg rest adjusts, which is great for small toddlers and sleeping children. The sun shade is amazing!! it acutally blocks the sun at many different angles and adjusts in multiple ways, and has a peek-a-boo window, it's the best sunshade i have ever used. The GROOVE has many convenient features like 2 cupholders/ toyholders in the seat, 2 on the back of the hood and additional storage pockets. a handy storage basket underneath holds larger items. My favorite feature of the GROOVE is the EXCELLENT MANUIVERABILITY! This stroller can turn in a tight circle (see my photo of my son spinning my daughter in the stroller). The stroller wheels have ball barrings so the Groove pushes effortlessly, even on nature trails and grassy ball fields. The large soft tires absorb bounces and don't get caught up on things. I had no trouble at all pushing my 35 lb. sleeping child. The large wheels easily right themselves when you begin to push. Finally, the Joovy Groove comes in fun stylish colors. I love the electric green, it stands out in a crowd and recieves lots of compliments. I've used many strollers from travel systems to joggers, high end umbrella style strollers from Europe, and double strollers of all those types. This Joovy Groove beats all other single strollers, hands down. It seems to be a stroller for all occasions and events. I recommend the Groove to anyone searching for a very sturdy, roomy light weigh stroller which folds easily and has many convenience features!
