Good design, wooden ride-on

I bought this for my 4-year-old son. He loved it. The horse has a very good design, wooden parts, convenient back to lean on. The only thing I would like it to have is a soft cushion or pad attached on the wooden back to prevent any bruise on the child's back. Every time I put my child into the horse, I have to put a folded blanket or something, coz I see him feel uncomfortable when the wooden back gets into his back and he moves himself toward the head as close as possible.
