I decided on the Graco Quattro Duo after considering the Phil and Ted's with a double kit and some of the side by side joggers. My local BRU had this stroller on display and I tried it in the store. It was after this that I decided to get the stroller from Albee Baby, because they were the only store that had the Flint color in stock. This stroller has everything that I would want, and it's cheaper than the P&T and others I had considered. Plus, with Graco products I have not yet had a bad experience (we own and love a Graco highchair and pack n play). I do, however, detest some of their colors for their products, but I was pleased to see that this stroller came in a color that wouldn't be dated or make me feel silly pushing a comical-looking pastel or character-filled stroller. The first time I used the stroller was for a county fair. It was easily pushed over the many different types of ground cover. It also proved to be very useful with it's dual parent cupholders, zippered and pocketed parent bag, and plentiful, easily-accessible storage basket under the seats. Next, I used it for a trip to the zoo, and it made the trip much easier on me. My daughter could easily hop on and off the front seat, and my son took a ver long nap in the back, fully reclined and well-ventilated. I also discovered how I'd best use the parent section of the stroller, and I loved having my cell phone in the outside pocket of the parent pouch, so I could hear it easily, and putting my Kodak Zi8, my keys, and my wallet in the zippered pocket of the pouch. I haven't yet used the largest front pocket of the zippered pouch, but looking back that would have been useful for a small map, some of the tokens we purchased, or a small item for me (gum, m&ms, chapstick, lipgloss, etc.) The underneath storage was filled with two beach towels, a diaper bag, a large canister of wet ones, and a beco baby carrier. I stil had plenty of room for other items.Twice I heard someone say, "That's a nice stroller." I do think that the all-black stroller is not something that people are accustomed to seeing from Graco. In my opinion, this color elevates the opinion of others about it's perceived value. I highly recommend the stroller and this color!
Pros
- Dual parent cupholders
- Zippered parent pouch that can be detached for quick removal
- Separate toddler storage underneath front seat
- Only six pounds heavier than my single jogging stroller
- Steers and pushes well
- Rear seat reclines fully
- Huge, easily accessible underneath storage
Cons
- Wish there was an easier way for a toddler to get into the back seat on their own (running board or small step) without stepping all over the seat.
- Hard to detect where to pull up the rear snack tray. I'm sure this is something we'll learn quickly.
