We bought this to use with the Thomas Coal Hopper set. The blurb says, "Elevate your Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway by adding ascending track and risers to any existing layout. . Add to any Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway set to expand your play.: Well, 1) the 2 riser height in conjunction with the loose connections on the ascending tracks causes the tracks to disconnect very easily, like when a train car goes over it, and 2) you need 2 extra ascending track pieces to bring the raised track (in #1 above) back down to ground level. In other words, this set should include 2 more ascending pieces of track to work properly with another Thomas set. We were very disappointed to open this Christmas morning and find that it was basically unusable in the way the package illustrated.
