Fisher-Price Precious Planet Whale of a Tub

I've heard of unbreakable toys, but this thing is amazing. It's been inflated for going on 5 years now and even with my children, now 7 and 4 punching, kicking and bouncing on him, this thing won't die. I think it's one of the best made toys I have ever seen in my life.

I just love this tub. It is a simple, easy to use, easy to clean, good quality. My son has been using it since he was 5 days old. I would for sure recomend this product. Simple and great.

I started using this tub as soon as my now 3 month old son's umbilical cord came off and I have been using several times a week ever since. He just has a blast in it! I love that it fits on the sink so easily and securely. I also love that the stopper prevents him from sliding down and the back mat seems to stick him in place. I just started placing it in our bathroom tub as my son was starting to get too splashy in the kitchen! The stopper is removable so I will be using this tub for many months to come as my son grows.

I purchased this for my newborn after receiving 2 at my baby shower that are for an older baby. I had registered for a more complicated one that showed the temp. Of the water, etc. but I decided to skip it once I saw this at the store. So glad I chose this one instead, its simple, adorable and you can't beat the price.

We've used other tubs before, but this one is the best! I wanted a tub that would fit safely over my kitchen sink so that I wouldn't have to bend over the tub with our newborn. I purchased others that claimed to fit over the sink, but didn't. I returned the others and after reading many reviews from other moms decided to order this one. It is perfect. It doesn't have all the complicated and useless attachments to worry with but makes bath time easy. The middle section keeps the baby from sliding down. It's easy to clean and fits over sink perfectly. Our other kids hated those tubs with slings. I think they would get cold? The tubs with the sprayers never worked properly, but we have sprayers in our tubs and sink so didn't need one of those. This tub was just what we needed. I do wish that it came with a hook to hang it up for storage, but you could probably purchase one separately.

This toy is very simple. Blow it up and it stands on its own, balls inside jingle as the child plays. Overall a cute toy, exactly as I expected

I'm not ordinarily big on writing reviews, but as a first time mom, I found it extremely helpful to read other moms' opinions on products while picking items for my baby. This tub has been wonderful. I originally had a much more complicated tub of another brand on my registry. If you are a mom, you know that every single item for baby comes with complex assembly and a billion pieces and parts. I received the other tub (it was a spa with jets which looked enticing, albeit highly excessive and impractical for daily use) right when I was getting fed up with having to spend hours assembling every single thing I received for baby. I took back the other tub and purchased this one based on other reviews. It is fabulous! So easy to use and maneuver and my baby is comfortable and happy during every bath. I have not removed the "baby stopper" yet because my baby is not sitting on his own yet. When the time comes, I think I will feel much more secure having him in this smaller, confined bath tub (in case he inevitably "tips over") versus the big tub. This was one of the cheaper tubs we looked at, and it is truly all you need. One tip: water stays in the bottom of the tub even after you open up the drain, so to ensure that all the water is emptied, I turn it over and shake it and let it dry out upside down after each use.

I purchased this tub for my daughter before she was born, she is just turned 7 months old and we will be needing to retire her whale tub soon. We have been using it since she was a newborn and never had any issues. I would definitely recommend this tub to others. The tail of the whale has a hole in the middle, this made it much easier for us to store.

my grandson likes this but it does not hold his interest for long. Not a lot of interactive things so he will roll it around for a few minutes. He seems to like the goofy voice of the penguin better than anything. It is like a giant feeble and no matter what he does it always pops back to an upright position. It has also withstood his teething phase - no holes yet!

I bought this for my son when he was 6 months old. He showed no interest in it until he was a little over a year. He is now 2 1/2 and we've gone through 10 or more of these. It's like his best friend. He absolutely loves it. He is pretty rough with it, but from the other reviews, it seems other kids are as well. My kid is no hulk or anything so I'm not sure why we are having so many problems with air leakage. I am very disappointed that it's not more durable. Two penguins ago... it only lasted a little over a week. It's heartbreaking when it just won't blow up anymore. He looks crushed. They are getting hard to find now too so I can't just run to the store and get another one. Overall... I'd say it's worth the money if your child loves it as much are ours. Thanks.

I had this for my daughter who is now four. She was so terrified of this thing. Screamed and cried when she even saw it. Then saved it and tried it with my son. He was so terrified he was trembling. He wouldn't let go of me and kept looking to make sure it didn't come back.

A friend of mine gave us this penguin (we named him Willie) and my daughter has loved it from the moment we took it out of the box. She was 5 months old when we received it and she is now 7 months. Willie is still a hit. She charges up to him and yanks his fin and laughs at his hoots n hollers. She even loves the 3 felt "hairs" on the top of his head. The music really isn't annoying compared to so many other musical toys. So parents shouldn't be scared away by that aspect.

My son received this toy when he was about 2 1/2 months old from his uncle. He is now 7 1/2 months old and STILL loves this little penguin. It dosen't look like much but I guess that's not what matters. It's easy to play with as it wabbles back and forth and my son laughes all the time at it's whooppee and yahooo sounds it makes. It keeps his attention very well and I recommend this toy to anyone!

We used this tub with our daughter since she was brought home from the hospital. It's safe, secure, & sturdy! We stopped using it when she was able to sit up by herself well, but not because the tub couldn't accomodate, we just decided to start using the regular bathtub. I will be using this tub with future kids and would HIGHLY recommend this tub to anyone! It really took the worry away from giving newborns a bath, especially as a 1st time mom!

My daughter doesn't much prefer this toy right now. She gets scared of the wobbling/etc... Maybe she will grow to like it!

We got this tub as a present and originally used it as a second bathtub at grandma's house. However, after our little one got a little bigger (3-4 months old), we discovered this bathtub was far better than the one we had been using so we switched and have been using this one at home ever since. We still use it at 18 months----it's quick to fill up and is big enough but not too big.

my son loves to play with his penguin, he likes to hit it and chew on the nose. Lately he's been grabbing it by the base and carrying it around the house. Poor penguin is covered in baby food but still going strong. Definitely recomend him.

I got this for my son for christmas.As soon as we put batteries in it and it started making noise he just started screaming.Its a great product i wish he wasn't scared of it but he will grow of that and one day he will play with it.

This is a great tub. We've been using it since our son was about 3 weeks old (he's now almost 3 months). He's been able to sit up comfortably and stays put. He really enjoys bath time and likes to kick and splash. The tub is durable, easy to use, and easy to clean.

it doesn't do much but wooble and play music. she really didn't care for it while she was a baby but now its on the 'hit' list. great to burn energy out.

Durable toy, however my child only plays with it from time to time. Doesn't hold her interest for very long. Maybe when she gets older, there will be more enjoyment.

We love this tub and have been using it since day one with our son! The stopper really helps him to sit up and he never slips. He could 'sit' on his own at about 3 weeks old! Now he splashes around and loves the little whale. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

My daughter got this as a Christmas present when she was 6 months old. She is now 11 months old and it is still her favorite toy. She giggles and claps every time I turn it on and the music starts. Since she started crawling, she either takes it by the wing and drags it around with her, or she uses her head to push it around the room.

My daughter received this toy before she was 1 but did not show much interest in it until about age 1. Then she enjoyed it for many months...she loved pushing it over and over. She was also quite rough with it...as she got older, she liked to pick it up holding onto the felt on top of it's head and bang it down on the floor. She is almost 2 and seems to have outgrown this toy now. It's a very cute toy and well worth the money; I would recommend it for younger babies.

My little man loves this tub and every time I start the water he get so excited about the tub. The small part that he really love is the little fish that comes with it, he likes it when you put it over his belly. Very functionable and easy to clean. Also helps baby to sit up. This is a great toy! My 2 year old has played with this for over a year. My four year old enjoys it, too. One feature I really like is that you can let the air out for transporting and then blow it back up when you need it. It is also very easy to clean. Great value and durable. I recommend this toy.

We received this as a gift, mostly because we are Pgh Pens fans, however the baby (2 months old) really likes it. She likes the sounds, and will smile if she hears someone play with it, even from across the room. Volume for us is good, soft enough that it is not annoying, and loud enough that she can hear it. Even if the sound is off, she likes to look at the face of the toy. She often sits on someone's lap and kicks (or we help her kick it) to move it. We have never had a problem with it not bouncing back, and the batteries have lasted over a month (and still going strong). Relatives who visit enjoy playing with the toy. Great gift!

I was disappointed in this item. The beak was misshapen and has never straightened out. Also, my son took no interest in this toy whatsoever. I plan on raiding it for the balls, which fit another toy.

My husband was so excited to buy this for our son. He is now 13 months. He purchased it when he was around 7 months. When we first got it home he loved hearing the sounds and seeing the balls move around. he didn't quite try to hit it though. Now that he is older he does play with it. He seems to pick it up and toss it to get it to make noise rather than sit and play with it. We don't regret this purchse because he does use it on a daily basis. The only thing I would change would be having more of a variety of sounds and music to it. It is just 3 things that repeat over and over. The sounds are very short. I am happy with the fact that we have had it for so long and it hasn't been damage. I was worried about it popping or losing air on a regular basis and it hasn't. The hard plastic on the bottom is plus. As much as my son has thrown it still is in one piece.

So I got this toy for my son today and I regret it so bad. He screamed and cried his eyes out when it started laughing and the music played. I figured he was just in a bad mood. I tried it again later while he was all jolly and playing with his other toys and he cried and screamed again. He is 11 months old and I can't believe it. First time ever he did that with a toy. That's like me trying to shred bank statements again with my shredder. He is terrified of the shredder as well as this penguin. Don't waste your time. Sorry Fisherprice; but we still love your other toys.

I purchased this toy for my 6 month baby and after 2 weeks it stopped playing music. I have changed the batteries but it still doesnt work and walmart wont exchange it because i dont have the packaging anymore.

My baby girl got this for Christmas from her Nana when she was 5 months. She can't sit up on her own yet but I sit on the floor with her between my legs and she bonks him with her feet and grabs at him. She is always very captivated by the balls bouncing around in his tummy. Sometimes I stand her up and she loves to grab his hair and try to pick him up. It's hard for her to do much on her own with him but this is a great toy to play with your child until they can sit up on their own and play.

My mother purchased this gift before my son was born because she thought it was cute when she a friend's child playing with it. My 3 month old loves to look at this toy during tummy time. He also likes to play with the toy while sitting on his daddy's lap...they bat at it together and smile when it wobbles and giggles at them.

My son received this toy for his 1st birthday. While he has enjoyed it, I feel that he would have loved it even more if had gotten it between 6-8 months of age. It really doesn't hold his attention. He's now 19 months old and would prefer to sit on it and roll over it as opposed to anything else. Cute product, but I would recommend it for infants under one.

It is a great toy for tommy time. It is even better when they are sitting up and crawling. this toy was given to my son for his first birthday (he was not walking yet) and he loved it. I only wished I had it before. Once he started learning how to walk he wanted to pick the toy up and walk with it but it was to heavy and he only got frustrated with it. Now my son is a confident walker and my son (15 months) and my daughter (3 yrs) still use this toy but now they also kick it. If it can handle my ruff and tumble twosome I would recommend this toy. Only bad fall make sure to turn it off when not using because if not you will be changing the batteries a lot faster.

My son Loved this toy, and still does. The noises and sounds are funny to him. The wings a great for him to hold on to and the penguin doesnt get too far away from him too often! You dont need to change the batteries that much either!

I bought this for my daughter when she was 4 months old thinking she would like it..well she is now 7 months old and is just now liking it....itn was a great bargin toy..just wait till ur baby can sit up on there own to get this,....

We bought this for our son thinking that since he could sit, it would be a great idea for him to have a toy that bounced back up at him while he played and batted at it. Well, I'm sure it would have been a great idea if the penguin actually bounced back up! My 6 month old would bat it lightly and it would stay on the ground. And it says it's age appropriate at 36 months? Maybe we bought a dud - but we can't return it for a new one since we live 2 hours from the city where we purchased it. Total disappointment - save your cash.

I bought this for my son when he was 5 mos. and just able to sit up. He's now 8 mos. and clobbers the poor thing. This poor little penguin can really take a beating. I would definately buy this guy again, I just wish he had a few parts that were easier to chew on. My son seems to get a little frustrated that there isn't alot of chewing material. Maybe that's why the guy gets hit so much.

This is a great toy. Our 5 month old son is sitting up very well and we wanted to get him a toy that will keep him upright instead of having to lean over to play. We saw this online and knew this was it! Since we got this, it has been no stop fun. The music, the size and the fact that it cant "get thrown across the room" are great qualities. Our son loves to bat at it and even leans in for some good "bear hugs" with it! It's too cute!

My son got this for Easter when he was 9 months. He enjoyed it for a while but lost interest in it. Every now and then he plays with it. It is very cute and plays cute music.

I couldn't wait to buy Bat and Wobble Penguin for my 8 month old grandaughter a few months ago. Who doesn't love a penguin? And the rock- back- and -forth motion appeals to kids, right? WRONG! At least in our case, the penguin scared the life out of our little one! She feared the penguin coming back at her, she disliked the voice saying "Wahooooo!" Poor penguin hides in our closet now, unused and lonely. I bring him out now and then, sound turned off, with a friendly voice(mine!) All to no avail. Even at 13 months, baby screams at the sight of him and runs out of the room, sobbing.Penguin will never see the light of day, unless he ends up in a Garage Sale!

This toy is wonderful! There are two volume settings along with off so for those days when you want some quite you can turn it down or off. It gives my son great pleasure to knock this toy around and it gets off some agression when he needs too. I can't say anything bad about it.

My son was afraid of this penguin from the beginning. I bought it when he was 7 months old and thought he would love it. I don't think he liked that it wobbled and the sounds it made were loud and awful. I don't know what they were thinking when this toy was created. My son is now 16 months and still clings to my side everytime he sees this toy. I finally had to deflate it and put it away for good!
