We bought the Ergo carrier without the infant insert before we had our baby, thinking that we would just use our wrap when she was smaller. We ended up ordering the infant insert for the Ergo after she was born and we are so glad we did! It is easy to use and put on, and she calms down so quickly due to being close to our bodies. The only complaint is that even though it is made of the cool mesh material, it still gets very warm in this southern summer. Overall we are very happy!

I have been using this for about a month with my newborn, and I am pretty happy with it. My son seems comfortable and it's pretty easy to get him strapped in now. At first, it seemed a little daunting, but watching a video helped. I do worry about him overheating in the infant nsert as it's summer time. For now, I just make sure he doesn't have much clothes on when we are outside and limit the time in the heat. I look forward to not needing the insert. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase!

My little boy hates this thing and the matching carrier itself. It is great quality, just sits in a drawer now. Don't think he like being so confined.

I had my ergobaby carrier for my last daughter, but didn't have the insert so by the time I tried to put her in, she wasn't used to it and didn't want to be in there until she was almost 2. Now I have the insert for my newborn daughter, and just used it today-it is so easy to use! I am excited to be able to use my carrier around the house, at the park, at my kids' school, etc. Great product!

This product is great at serving its purpose. It helps my 3 month old fit comfortably in my ergo baby 360 carrier. it keeps him a little elevated, and im able to comfortably wear my lo. The only thing about this product that I'm not too happy about is that my baby gets VERY hot. After being in it for less than 10 mins, he will begin to sweat and that makes him uncomfortable. Although I really wanted to be in love with the product, the fact it makes my baby get hot and uncomfortable is why I did not give it all 5 stars. I would think the cool mesh would make a difference but it does not.

I bought this a month ago for my newborn son who is my 5th child. I love how it supports his neck and head and how secure he feels in it. I only wish the strap to snap across h was more adjustable, because as he gets bigger it's harder to strap him in. Other than that I love this product and would recommend to any mom!

I purchased this infant insert separate from the ergo carrier and was very happy that is fit well in my carrier. It is light and the mesh has been very good for the warm weather of the south!

I bought this before my baby was born. My husband and I loved it because we could put her in the carrier right away. We also have a sling carrier, but baby prefers the ergo. I wish the band across the insert could have been a bit longer, but that's my only complaint.

I bought this for my 6 weeks old. He is not happy in it. The straps are very tough to tight or loose to make the adjustments for the baby. He is either too loose not being able to put his head straight or too tight that makes him stay in a very uncomfortable position inside.

I bought this along with my 4 position 360 baby carrier. It fits well into the carrier. My 3-months-old baby sleeps comfortably in it when bring her out.

This definitely is coming in handy. Baby fits in it well and we are still using the insert seat pad at three months. Baby loves it! Breathes well so she didn't get to hot.

I didn't know whether or not to get this insert when we were expecting our first, but now that I did, I'm so glad. She is 11 days old now and we have spent 8 hours total sleeping in this so far while I carried her and I was able to get some stuff done around the house. She is wanting to be near me or my husband constantly (which is fine- she is a newborn!) and this insert with the regular carrier has enabled me to get out of her feeding/sleeping chair which I was feeling a little trapped in. :) Without the infant insert I would have just been waiting until she was old enough to go in our regular carrier (we got the ergobaby 360 which we also love by the way). Also, it has been nice to start getting her used to being carried right away while she is still young. We did still get pretty hot and sweaty so depending on the weather in your area I would recommend just dressing them in a onesie and wearing a short-sleeved shirt or tank-top yourself and then putting on a robe or whatever other layers you want if needed after you have your whole carrier on.

I bought the insert about a month ago. It is perfect for my baby who doesn't quite have full head control yet. It has kept him cool on our warm walks in NOLA and he often falls asleep within minutes. I got this with my Ergobaby original. My son was premie but still full size so he was/is quite heavy. This insert was a big help because it allowed we to carry him around when he couldn't support his neck at all!

Used this for my one month old. Keeps her snug against me. It does get a bit hot, but that is to be expected.

The Ergobaby 360 was the one item I really wanted for our baby and was one of the carriers our midwife was happy to recommend re: hip placement. So happy we received it and found that it helps put our baby to sleep - rather quickly! - particularly when those evening witching hours set in. We had a preemie so had to wait a bit to use the infant insert, until she reached the right weight, but it's great as it has allowed us to use the carrier earlier than if we hadn't received it. I use it probably a minimum of two times a day and often more than that, ie, when doing stuff around the house, out on walks, getting baby to sleep, etc. I love that the carrier has a little cover to offer sun protection to the baby. My only complaint would be that I have had to wash the carrier and insert and when I did the insert seems to have "softened" a bit on the sides (ie, hasn't retained it's firmness quite as well as before washing it) and I found that you need a good hot day to dry them on the line since they can't go into the dryer and do retain a bit of water (even after squeezing it out). Also, it would be great to have a little zip pocket to store keys when out on a quick errand or walking. That said I can't wait to continue using this carrier as our baby gets older and we get to use the other positions. I already see her looking around so she will love when she can face outwards and see so much more! I love the feeling of having our baby close to me when she's in the insert and carrier.

I bought this to go along with my Ergo Perfomance. I have an original insert too, which was nice during the winter since it was warmer. But I like that this one is mesh and a lot more breathable than the original insert, which is perfect for hiking, spring/summer, or warmer climates. When my baby girl got bigger, I removed the pillow and used just that. We are still using just the pillow right now and she seems pretty comfortable with that at 3 months old.

Works great for my newborn with the performance Ergo. It's padded, so the extra warmth is perfect for mild Spring weather. We'll see if the product is comfortable in hot Colorado Summers. So far, good product!

I received this infant insert as a shower gift, and I absolutely love it! Easy to wash and very light weight.

Ergo baby were great to order from, prompt service which I always love. The insert looks wonderful, and I am still waiting for baby to come but I got the mesh one because baby will be born in late spring. I think it is very important for baby to be properly supported. I have seen mothers who say "you don't need the infant insert" carrying their babies improperly in the ergo without the insert. I recommend it.

Wife was sick with a stomach virus and this carrier saved my life. I was able to get him to sleep while I cleaned and tended to my wife.

I bought this carrier a few weeks ago just in time for our vacation and it has proven itself to be very useful! My 3 month old loves it and falls asleep in it often. I like that I can carry him and help my 2 year old with whatever she needs. We also used it at the airport, which made it more manageable to get through security and customs. It is very comfortable and easy to use once you get the hang of it. I'm usually a pretty frugal person and I think this is definitely worth the money!

I bought this insert and the Ergo 360 carrier for my husband for Christmas. He loves the idea of baby wearing. Since we live in the desert a cool mesh option was great. We haven't used it yet except to practice with a doll, but so far I'm quite pleased!

Purchased my Ergobaby performance insert after owning the Baby Bjorn. I must say I instantly fell in love with the Ergobaby insert as it made my son even more comfortable once we started using it with our carrier. You can right away notice the comfort and quality of this insert. My son is so comfortable in this carrier thanks to the insert as he is still to little to ride in it without the insert. This definelty is a must own insert for any mom with a Ergo carrier.

I got the ergobaby carrier as a gift so I had to buy the insert myself. This is the cost of some carriers that look just as good. Overall, I do like the insert. The instructions are not good. I recommend watching a video online on how to put it on and situate your baby because it's supposed to be ergonomic but it's not for you or your baby if warn incorrectly.

I bought this insert for my sister to use in my Ergo... Unfortunately I did not know that the inserts were available when I was preggers... That said I traveled a lot & alone with my son in Ergo until he was 40lbs!! It came in so handy in the airports & at immigration, I knew exactly where my bundle of energy was at all times!
