The steel structure is what we love about this car seat. We’ve used it for both rear and forward facing. The buckle is easy to work with. The only disappointment is with the installation. It is a bit difficult to get the fixing belt out once it’s in. My husband has no complaints about it, but I wish it could be made better.

Love the Diono car seats! We’ve had several brands and these by far are the easiest to install. They’re a bit heavier but the ease of installation makes it worth it. The solid design ensures no annoying rattling like the other brand our oldest is growing out of. The slim design allows us to go 3 across in our suv when needed.

We purchase this for our twins for (1) they can use from infant to maybe 10 year old or so, versatile and no need to repurchase another older kids seats in a future . (2) it hold and use for travel in a plane. (2) was completely mistake, too heavy and bulky to move around with! So we just set this in a car and use as fixed regular car seat only. Disappointed that we had to purchase another light travel seats (cheaper ones we got), but this is heavy duty (not plastic only as other most car seats made of) type and I can see it lasts.
Now twins are 3 year old and still have plenty room to grow, hoping we do not need to buy another seats till they graduate from car seats!

I like the minimalistic design. The gray color isn't exciting but it will likely match your car interior very well. It's easy to take my child in and out. I bought this model instead of the RXT because I'm not a fan of the wings around the head.

I traded in a Toyota Sienna for a 2018 highlander XLE. I had 2 Chicco next fit convertible and a britax marathon clicktight and while all three fit in my new vehicle there wasn't any room for cup holders. These seats fit perfect and all three of my boys can have cup holders without any issues. I did have to purchase the angle adjusters for my twins seats. These seats are super easy to install with either the latch or seatbelt and are super secure.

I like this car seat. It looks good. My granddaughter (age 6) can fasten herself into the 5 point harness; which is a huge plus. The price was better at Albee's than anywhere else I looked. It is heavy but the description tells you that. It was also not as easy to install as the video suggested. The safety reviews makes it worth some bother. I have owned three other car seats and none were really easy to install. I am glad I made this purchase. Delivery was quick and purchase was easy. If needed, I would purchase another from Albee.

This car seat's steel frame gives me peace of mind as a parent of 2 young kids. The fact that you can use these for so long is so great! I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old I also have a car so the fact that these are slim is GREAT. My son loves the cupholder and sleeps in the seat well.I'm a big reasearcher when it comes to anything I buy. We have now bought 5 Dionos -- 3 for our children and 2 for friends. Every child who has transitioned from a cheap car seat into a Diono has gone from crying at every ride to sitting peacefully. We would hate to be uncomfortable in the car, and so do our kids! Do yourself and the babies a favor by starting out with Dionos. :)

We have been using this for a few weeks now. I think installation was easy (I did latch by myself). I wasn't able to find a rear facing tether, so am hoping that the carseat is secure enough in my BMW 328i. Carseat fits well, and it is not as bad for the front seat passenger, as some people mention reviewing this carseat, as we are not even using a wedge. Quite opposite, I like the recline and that my toddler can be relatively comfortable in it after his infant carseat. My toddler can look out and it is a big plus as he is not as bored as in other carseats.

We already had an rxt so were very familiar with the seat. For slim seats and safety it doesn't get any better. We decided to get this instead of the rxt because we really don't need the head flaps, they just block the kids view and I think my older one might need more shoulder room soon. I love this car seat, my daughter can get in and out of it very easily. It is nice and slim yet gives enough room to grow. I like how sturdy and secure this seat is in my 2014 GMC Terrain. I have the RXT, R120 and a chicco infant that fits so I do not have to compromise trunk space with another baby arriving in 3 weeks (the 2 Diono seats are forward facing for a 5 &3 year old). I have nothing but good things to say so far, and I have had the car seats for two weeks.

The seat came in several parts and had to be put together. I had to read the instructions again and again because it certainly wasn't clear where things like the cup holders fit. I have twins so I had to put two of these together. Once they are in the car and installed they are awesome. Mine are both forward facing. My two year olds can climb right in. That's a huge advantage over my old car seat -recaro proride. Plus the seats fit side by side. The only small downside is when you adjust the seatbelt it's a ratcheting lever so it takes longer to get the seat belt tight around your kid. (I'm talking about the 5 point harness, not the car seat belts.)
Pros
  • Low profile so kids can climb in and out once they are unbuckled.
Best Uses
  • When you need to fit three car seats across the backseat.
Cons
  • Seats sit very straight up and there isnt a good place for toddlers to rest their heads. I don't like how Diono provides extra straps that aren't built into the car seat. I had to switch out one of the straps due to my kids weight according to the instructions and now I have to hope I don't misplace the other strap until it's time to switch it back out.
  • Also the ratcheting lever for the seatbelts. This could be faster and more efficient by using a different lever.
  • The chest clip is huge. It makes it hard to gauge if the clip is at armpit level. If we were actually in an accident my kids face would surely hit the chest clip. There's no way to avoid it because it is so oversized.
  • Their is velcro padding on the straps surrounding the chest clips. My kids have figured out within the first week how to undo the Velcro.
  • Lastly the sides of the seat can open wider as your child gets bigger. However my two year olds are able to adjust it because it takes such little force to adjust. I wish it had a more secure way to adjust the seat width.

I've always bought britax for my kids. I really liked the high safety ratings from consumer reports, but I don't like buying an infant seat, convertible seat and finally a booster seat. It's very costly to buy several seats, and I have 4 kids in seats. I was sold on the R120's high ratings and 10 year life. It was super easy to install in my 2014 Honda Odyssey. It fits perfectly on the tiny middle row seat. Installation was actually a breeze, I was kinda surprised. I'm eventually going to buy another one of these for my britax marathon that expires in November. I bought this for my 1 year old who is still rear facing.

I researched for weeks before purchasing the Diono Radian R120 for my oldest daughter in early 2013. It was the top of the line in safety then and still is now in mid-2015 so I have purchased a second for my second daughter. The seat folds up to allow for slimmer transporting, is Airline approved, higher backed to allow for longer rear-facing (proven to be the safest position for children!) and it's slim enough to allow 3 Radians to be used side by side in a backseat. I highly recommend this seat! (Also purchased the first from Albee Baby and received very quick free shipping.)

As slim as you'd expect but weighs a ton. Not bulky but heavier than others, hopefully that translates to better protection. Instructions are plentiful and even official video how to's. seems more versatile than other car seat I've dealt with. Despite the weight I do recommend specially south smaller vehicles.

These are great, I am thinking about buying another. We need to fit three kiddos in the back, and for now, two of these forward facing and a bucket fit great. Our vehicle only has 4 LATCH anchors so the center child seat (the bucket base) has to be secured by belt. The LATCHes are heavy duty, so only one LATCH per anchor. We will try to fit one of the old child seats rear facing in the middle to see how it fits. We may be able to delay making another purchase for a while.

Ordering was easy. Delivery was quick. The seat is great. Just what I wanted at a decent price. The only downside is the date of manufacture was over a year old. I still give 5 stars though because it was on sale and in 7 years (which is when the seat will expire for harness use) my son will be 9 and likely in a booster by then and I have no need for any other child to use it. So, just understand that when buying from this site, it usually means you will lose a year or more of use time as car seats have an expiration from when they were made, not sold.

We love the Diono car seats. I did not want to trade in our Honda CRV for a minivan. Hence, we bought two Dionos to accompany the booster chair. Now we can keep our current car and fit three kiddos in the backseat.

This item does not have great directions but expected this from other reviews. It is one of the smallest seats we've seen and love that. The cup does not stay in the slots very well...our 18 month old will pull it out and throw it easily. We'd buy it and recommend it again! We also get lots of comments about how small and nice it is!

We own 3 of these seats. I currently have 2 average sized 5 year olds and a 17 month old in these seats as well as a 5 year old in a booster and 3 big kids in a Chevy Traverse! This would be impossible with any other carseat. I only use these and Britax, so I have very high expectations. We have air traveled with 2 Diono's. They are heavy, but much easier than a clunky seat and much safer than flimsy plastic seats. No complaints here! This seat also arrived very quickly. Much sooner than I'd expected!

So far very happy. I have a small car and with two booster seats this car seat fits much better then our old car seat. The seat sits very straight up in the back. I am surprised that our one year old can fall asleep comfortably in it with out his head falling forward but he seems to have to problem getting comfortable. The material is a nice vibrant color that wipes clean very easily. I am glad we paid a higher price for it because it does seem like it will stand the test of toddler time.

I really like this seat so far. We have this and a Britax Roundabout 55. I think my son is more comfortable in the Radian. He doesn't fuss nearly as much when we put him in it and is content for much longer. I installed it rear-facing with a seat belt and it was pretty easy. We have a 2010 Ford Edge. Also, my husband who is 6'2 with very long legs can still put the seat all the way back to drive.

These are very nice carseats. I bought them because of the metal reinforcments their frame has. I bought the darkest color-Shadow-so I could minimize the appearance of dirt. I am very happy with them, however I can only compare them to the infant seat I was using. I shopped for the cheapest price since I was buying for twins and Albee had the best price!
