Description


Overprotective in all the right ways, the Monterey is a full-featured, expandable high-back booster seat designed to fit growing children 40 lb to 120 lb. The adjustable head rest and deep, aluminum reinforced sides are lined with energy absorbing EPS foam for side impact protection and the reinforced seat bottom provides extra lap belt safety. This significantly strengthens the Monterey and provides superior defense against crash forces.

A simple-to-use dial on the back adjusts the width of the seat to fit a child’s shoulders up to 20" wide. The 11-position headrest gives ultimate flexibility and adjusts up to 6.5" in height with one hand for an easy, precise fit. As a fixed-position booster, integrated LATCH connectors and front adjusters allow for a safe and secure installation in seconds (LATCH use is optional) and keeps the seat in position when not in use.

The seat bottom has extra length for leg support and features thick AirTek™ foam and tapered sides for total comfort. Retractable, dual cup holders are extra-deep and angled to keep drinks upright.

Monterey can also be used as a backless booster and packs flat for travel and storage.

I love this seat! When my 9yo turned 6 we tried out some cheaper options, but he wasn't a fan of any. Then we bought him a Monterey and it was an instant hit! \When we crashed our van we replaced his Monterey with a new one. I believe that the price is fair for the quality of the product you're getting. I love the adjustable width so that even big kids won't feel cramped. Overall, it's a wonderful product and I would certainly buy it again!

When we finally graduated to a high back booster, I chose Diono because of the aluminum frame and the latch. I love this booster because it's easy to put together and install, and my kid loves the cup holders. The cover washes easily and is good quality. The only drawback is I wish there were a latch on top to keep it from rocking, and there are 12 tabs to keep the cover in place. It's just too much and it's kind of a mystery when you're trying to put the cover back on where they all go. Nevertheless, this is the brand that I've recommended to all my friends. The price point is reasonable too; I have one in both cars.

Quick delivery-Easy to put together-Very comfortable!This is my 5 year olds first booster, she is able to buckle and unbuckle herself very easily! I love love love how this seat will grow with my daughter, she is quite petite, barley over the 40 pound requirement, when I put this seat on the smallest settings, it fits her like a glove!! This seat lines the seat belt perfectly across her lap and chest. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Seat seems very well made and is easy to use, my son loves it. I did have to contact Diono customer service as they have updated the belt guides and the manual has outdated information. They were helpful and polite.

This is the best booster seat, your child can fall asleep and thier head won't fall over and the seat sits very well and with the harness on the back that hook into the seat it keeps the seat steady where it doesn't move around like other booster seats do.

What is the width of the base of the seat and what is the smallest width you can adjust the wings to?
the width of the base from armrest to armrest is 19" (this is the widest) and this is without the cupholders attached. the seat "wings" start at 19" and they expand to 22.5"
