Great and convenient product for our newborn

I got a chance to try this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and I was surprised with the ease in setting up the travel bassinet. I actually didn't even read the instructions yet I was able to get it set up in about 1 minute. My little one just turned 6 weeks old and it was great being able to whip out the bassinet at his grandparents for Thanksgiving and have him sleeping in the dining room with us while we ate and enjoyed each other's company. I love the mesh siding for maximum airflow. We'll be traveling to the Bahamas in early 2017 and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the portability of the bassinet while on the beach and in our rented home. I highly recommend the traveling bassinet.

I would buy this product for every one of my children.

I have two older children and feel like I am a first time mom all over again. I received this bassinet as a gift from the Weespring Parent Panel and am very grateful. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the bassinet as I had been cosleeping. I never ever wanted to be one of "those" parents, but my baby will not sleep anywhere except on my chest. I have tried the carseat, swing, crib, bassinet, and bouncy seat which nothing worked! Carrying the box in I was kind of iffy and when I opened it and a neat little thin carry bag came out I was flabbergasted. It was so lightweight and easy to carry in one hand. Once I opened it up the bassinet just came together in seconds and that is a big deal for me as I always need help putting things together. I placed my daughter inside and she was asleep in seconds!! I wanted to jump for joy but delighted in a silent mommy dance and enjoyed a nice cup of tea while she napped. The best part is that it is as portable as it is comfortable and I can carry it with me through the house while homeschooling, to the library, the park, and to visit family as both my husband and my families live a distance from us. While out and about or even at home with our pets I can pop the canopy up and slip the cover over to protect her and still get to see her through the mesh sides. This bassinet has certainly been a blessing to my home and I wish I could have gotten it before.

Very lightweight and simple setup!

I received this product as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel review and was delighted by how lightweight it is, first and foremost. I also really appreciate the shoulder strap on the carrying case, which can also be used (at least for parents with relatively small frames) as a cross chest carry--very helpful when you are carrying a newborn in a car seat, with the travel bassinet, and a diaper bag, etc., etc. (to grandmother's house we go!). Although we've yet to test it for airplane travel, I can't imagine having any trouble whatsoever fitting this into the overhead compartment.

It unfolds and comes together in a snap. However, folding it back down again, wasn't hard but I did have to reference the directions--not quite as fluid as the setup. I really haven't had the chance or the need to use the full canopy, being that it is November and I live in Boston, but I can see how it might be a wonderful feature for outdoor use like a picnic or camping. I think our baby appreciated the half canopy as it reduces stimuli for babies like ours who tend to be very sensitive to overstimulation.

The main drawback for me is that the thin mattress doesn't provide a ton of comfort. As our particular wee one has acid reflux, she will not tolerate being on her back for long, unless the surface is quite cushioned and somewhat contained (like her changing table pad). However, I imagine the design of the diono is such that it is "sleep safe" to protect against SIDS. We took the chance and padded it a bit for her with some blankets and kept careful watch.

Overall, I would recommend this product--as it was intended--for travel!

Great for travel!

I received this bassinet as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I have the bassinet that goes with our Brotax stroller but I was curious to try this one out. It is easy to assemble and a decent size. Although not as sturdy as the Britax bassinet, I love how compact it can be. It's much easier to throw in the car and take on the go. It's great for taking to a friends that doesn't have kids and you want somewhere to put your baby. Only con I would say is it can't be moved while your baby is in it where my Britax bassinet I can move with my baby in. Overall, I would recommend this product. I can't wait to use it more when we travel for the holidays.

Easy-to-use Travel Bassinet

Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet! It only took a minute or two from the time I opened the box to the time I had the bassinet set up on my living room floor. Set-up was a breeze and the bassinet is big enough that my two-year-old had fun climbing in and out and being zipped in as my husband and I checked out all the features. The best thing about this is how lightweight and portable it is. SO easy! It's also a lot more roomy that I expected. I have a big baby and I don't expect she will outgrow it before she's sitting up and no longer safe sleeping in a bassinet... which brings me to a con: this is a really nifty speciality sort of item that, I think, would get a lot of use with the right family (who camps a lot?), but it has a short lifespan due to its size and, for most families, certainly isn't a must-have baby item. We found the canopy and mesh cover were a bit flimsy and didn't stay up very well, but good enough. If it wasn't nearly winter and so cold where I live, I imagine we'd get a lot of use of this outdoors. I almost brought this to my in-laws for my baby to sleep in while we were visiting for a long weekend, but thought better of it when I realized our dog would also be sleeping in our room. Although our dog is wonderful with our children, I didn't think it wise to have baby on the floor (this is only to be used on the floor) where our dog could have unrestricted access while we were asleep--something I didn't consider until just before we left and that families with pets should consider before purchasing. Overall, I'm grateful to have received this to review but would be unlikely to buy it due to its limited use and lifespan.

Awesome Lightweight, Portable & Easy to Use!

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet! The Diono Dreamliner Travel Bassinet is very lightweight, easy to set up and collapse for easy storage, and great for using on the go or around the house. I have used it several times already when we are in our backyard so I can set my baby down in a safe, cozy place and he feels like he is a part of things but I can chase after my other three children as well. We are going to be traveling for the holidays and this is first on my list to make sure we bring along - great for napping at relatives homes and for sleeping in at night in our hotel.

I was surprisingly pleased

I was skeptical when I first looked over this bassinet. But when I used it, I soon recognized the benefits. It is extremely lightweight which is good if you are carrying anything else, such as a child or a diaper bag. It has an extremely thin profile and easily slipped into the back of my van without taking up extra space. The real downside to it is that it will tip over very easily if the child can sit up and put any weight on the sides. Plus the mattress is thin and uncomfortable on hard surfaces. But you can't have it all and still be portable and convenient. I want to thank the weespring Parent Panel for allowing me to try this product.

Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet! I have absolutely loved having this to use with my third baby. I wish I had it for all three! It is so portable and perfect for taking with me as the third child is rarely home for naps. Couldn't recommend this more!

I received this travel bassinet in exchange for my honest review from weespring parent panel. I love the size and ease of setup of this product. The bassinet unfolds and is ready to use in no time. It's much less cumbersome than using a pack n play. The padding feels comfortable and like it would be easily washed if spilled on. I'm very excited to take this camping in the summer. The netting is a great feature to ensure your little one can nap without getting bit by bugs. The only downside I see is that it sits directly on the floor. I wouldn't want to put it somewhere where someone could accidentally step on it. Also my dog thinks it's his new bed and he can easily jump in since it's low on the ground. But for travel purposes I think it's a great option.

I'm adored the portable bassinet for the most part. I tried it in different settings just to see how it would up because I've never been asked to sample a product and do a review before.I got a chance to try this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. The bassinet came neatly packaged and easy to assemble. Pretty much just unfolding the legs and putting the mattress in. It was lightweight and easy to carry from one destination to the next. My daughter is 2 months old and 12 pounds so for her weight the bassinet did seem sturdy enough to support her. We used the bassinet home, at an event, and even at the park. When using the bassinet one of the cons would be that due to it being so light if the child can roll over I wouldn't recommend putting the bassinet on anything other than the floor because it's unstable at that point. Overall I would recommend the product to others.

Wonderful accessory for an on-the-go family!

I've been using the Diono daydreamer travel bassinet for the past few weeks and I think it's wonderful! It's very sturdy, compact, super easy to assemble and a great size for little babes! We've used it as a sleeping bassinet while playing outside with the older kids and even as a portable changing station for the back of our SUV! The travel bag works well to keep the bassinet and pad together and altogether is light enough to carry anywhere. Some of the best parts of this travel bassinet for our family include the fold down canopy that can cover half of the bassinet or come completely down and cover the entire thing (it has mesh on the sides so it is breathable). And the sturdy construction that has held up to toddlers pushing on the edges trying to give baby kisses! Some negatives that I've encountered: the bassinet once on a surface with baby in it can not move even slightly, there seems to be rust stains on the canopy from the metal bar inside meant to keep the canopy shape, the canopy is a little tricky to keep completely over the bassinet; it has elastic bands to hold it down but they always pop off, as long as you aren't using this as a mosquito net, the small openings between the seems won't be a problem. All in all its a great little travel bassinet that I'd recommend for anyone looking!

I can not tell you enough how much I LOVE this travel bassinet! It's everything a travel bassinet needs to me. It's super light weight, easy to carry, compact enough to pack and easy to set up. We love to go on little overnight adventures as a family & I hate hotel cribs. This is the perfect to bring with us. If I did not get this as a sample I would have DEFINATLY Bought it myself. Futhermore, I love to bring it when we go to grandma's ( even for an afternoon ). It's nice to be able to put the baby down somewhere when he falls a sleep and this is MUCH, MUCH easier than carrying around a large, bulky pack & Play. Again, if you are looking for a travel bassinet then I HIGHLY recommend this one!

Awesome travel bassinet

I was very excited When Weespring sent me the Dreamliner bassinet to try out. I have to admit when I received it I was a little scepticle of its stability because it was so light weight and compact. After simply unfolding the legs and attaching two snaps it was sturdy and ready to use! It is a lot roomier when opened than you'd expect. The mesh panels on the sides are great for air circulation. Most bassinets tend to get very warm inside of them, this one let the air stay cool. The mattress isn't very thick but not bad for a temporary bed. Any bigger would make it less compact. The mattress has a washable cover on it but a changing pad sheet fits perfect and is softer so I used that on top. I didn't give it five stars because the sun canopy doesn't stay up very well without the bug screen opened up. The hinges were very lose so any little touch and it would fly back. It has two elastic tabs that are supposed to keep it from opening but they didn't help much. The elastic is also very thin so it seems like the may stretch out over time. This is a small thing I can overlook for the convenience and ease of use of this bassinet. Overall I love it. Thanks Weespring!

Great travel bed for infants!

I just had a second baby and was looking for a super convenient travel crib to match our much more mobile lives compared to when we had only one infant to look after. We tried a number of travel cribs with our first child and we liked many of them, but the Diono is our new favorite! It is the easiest to assemble, by far. It is also super light in weight. The new baby doesn't really have a designated sleeping place during the day like our first child since our day now revolves around a schedule for my 3.5 year old. I put the newborn down to sleep in a new place every nap it seems, and this crib has come in handy for that. I can easily pick up the crib, move it to where we are playing, reading, etc., and set it up with one hand while still holding my freshly fallen asleep baby. It is so light that I can also just pick it up and move him to another spot if needed (and he doesn't wake up!). The Diono also travels well. It packs up easily and fits into a bag about the size of a messenger bag--so appreciated when having to carry the amount of stuff required to get two young children out of the house for any extended period of time! We are enjoying every minute and/or trip we get to use the Diono. When our baby is older and more mobile, it will be back to having to pack a bigger and heavier travel crib. :(Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet!

Perfect for a Family on the Go

I was given the opportunity to test the bassinet as part of a WeeSpring Parent Panel. We have three little boys and travel around Europe frequently. The tiny hotel rooms in Europe often mean we are trying to find places for the kids to sleep. We've tried a variety of travel cots and this ranks as our favorite for Infants. My littlest one is 6 weeks old and is quite happy in his Diono on the road! The bassinet comes ready to go. I had a bit of trouble attaching the canopy. The zipper seems cheap and every time I attempted to deploy it I had trouble. That being said, we use the bed mainly for travel where the canopy is un-necessary. The bassinet is light weight and easy to transport. (We tested it on a car trip - but have not yet taken it on an airplane with us.) It comes with its own travel bag, which is perfect for travel! It folds up small enough to fit in my cargo bike with all three kids! When we were ready to use it we took it out in the hotel and it was ready to go. I love that it comes with a mattress that feels nice and has a cover that is machine washable! My newborn sleeps well in the basinet and seemed as comfy as he does in the co-sleeper at home. The bassinet does come with instructions that it should only be used on the ground. The basinet is so light weight that baby's movements could easily topple the bassinet onto the ground. I have no trouble using it on the ground in the hotel. Our other travel cots all have this same requirement. I also found the bassinet was great to use for tummy time. We are on the go two weeks out of every month so I need to be able to have tummy time on the go. The bassinet is much preferable to a towel or other item on the floor and provides a bit of a barrier from his older siblings. This is the best bassinet we've found to travel with. It is light weight, easy to use and comfortable. It provides a convenient place for my little one to sleep when we are on the go!

As I was anxiously planning my first travel with my 7 week old and researching travel crib options, the weeSpring Parent Panel for sent me this bassinet! What luck. It's so easy to set up, it's extremely lightweight. It's really nice looking and I like the mesh sides so that I can always see my baby. I agree with other reviewers that the sunshade isn't great, but I am mostly using this indoors for travel...though we have used it in the yard. I do think that there might be a cozier sheet for the mattress, since we plan on using it for night sleep on our international journey, but overall it's just so easy to use.

An excellent bassinet for home and travel

I recently received the Diono travel bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My wife and I have been using the Peg Perego bassinet, which is part of their stroller system, but our baby (currently 10 weeks) is quickly outgrowing that particular bassinet. The Diono travel bassinet arrived in the included carrying case, and it required only seconds to assemble/open the bassinet. Collapsing the bassinet is also a quick and easy task. We really love the look and feel of the bassinet. The teal color is bright, and the fabric feels great. The padded mattress is comfortable for baby and the mesh sides allow for air flow and it also allows him to watch us. The frame is sturdy and it feels well built. Our only concern with the bassinet is the canopy and the inability to keep it at raised to the halfway point. The canopy is secure when it is raised completely upright. However, at the halfway point, a slight nudge to the bassinet will cause the canopy to fall.Otherwise, the Diono travel bassinet is a great product. We will continue to use the bassinet at home for supervised napping, and we plan on taking it on our trips out of the house.

Lightweight, Convenient and Attractive Bassinet!
By Sarah
from Boston, MA
on November 15, 2016
First of all, when I received this bassinet in the mail I did not believe that the box really contained the whole thing. It is so small and compact, especially for those of us who are used to lugging a pack n play around! Setting this up was pretty intuitive and I am confident that a grandparent or caregiver could figure it out without explanation. It is a very attractive baby item. I love the turquoise and grey color, it is pleasing but not overwhelming. The only cons I see are that while the mattress cover is removable and washable, it is not absorbent. My son has reflux and spits up while he sleeps. I need to put something down because the mattress pad repels liquid. I am able to tuck in a pack n play sheet but it is a little large. My son is 2 months old and I love this bassinet for travel but I can't see using it at home until he is older. In order for it to be lightweight it is made to rest only a few inches off the ground. I prefer to have him up higher and next to our bed. But I would choose lightweight over tall any day when traveling! I haven't had a chance to use this outdoors yet but I am really excited about the mesh cover! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet!

Great Alternative to the Pack and Play
By N

This travel bassinet is lightweight and extremely easy to set up (took me less than a minute). It's compact size means it can go with you anywhere around the house, and it folds up easily into its travel bag, making it easy to take on trips (unlike the pack and play). I use it for naps downstairs during the day and for daytrips to the grandparents', and my newborn seems to be fine with it. The mattress is a decent thickness, but I do wish the mattress cover came in a cozier material than the waterproof nylon. I'm not wild about the canopy. It doesn't stay in place very well, and I can't really imagine a situation where I would use the bassinet outside (car seat or stroller would be more practical outdoor sleeping solutions for me). All in all, this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a well priced, highly transportable, easy to set up bassinet for their young infant. I got a chance to try this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Perfect for overnight travel and at home

I received this bassinet as a gift from the WeeSpring Parent Panel. I am a recent parent of twin boys and was apprehensive about traveling away from home and hauling the play yard. Fortunately I didn't have to, as the Diono dreamliner bassinet is so compact and lightweight itsets up in literally one second! I was thrilled at how convenenient it has been to travel with and take on overnight excursions to visit family. No more cumbersome sleep overs having to set up a crib, play yard or mattress on the floor. The Diono Dreamliner Bassinet has really made sleep options a lot more dreamy. I will be looking into purchasing an additional one so each has their own sleeping quarters. Thank you Diono and thank you WeeSpring!

Love this bassinet

I received this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel for my honest review. I must say I was surprised when I first got the bassinet, I thought it was going to be bulky and have a bunch of instructions for assembly but that was not the case at all! It was ready to go, out of the box, which was perfect for me. It comes in a messenger style bag which contains the whole bassinet and padded mattress. It just locks into place on the sides and has a couple of snap style buttons on the bottom that wrap around the bars underneath. It's super lightweight and my baby looks like he'll fit in it for a long time. It's actually a lot roomier than I initially thought as well. I really love the breathable mesh along the side panels and the canopy for the sun and insects. I've used this both indoors and outdoors without any issue and am excited to use it until my son outgrows it. The neutral colors are a plus in my book too. My only con about this product is that it can be tipped over very easily. I only know this because I have a very curious two year old that tries to look in the bassinet while the baby is in there and we have had a few close calls with him grabbing the outside to peek in and almost tipping the baby out. Other than that I would say it's a very great product.

I confess, I am a minimalist. I would not have put this item on my registry. But I received this product as a gift from the WeeSpring Parent Panel, and I am now recommending it to all my friends, especially all those who are on the move. It is super easy to transport, light and compact. I have started keeping it in my car for trips to friend's houses and stops at the park/ outdoor concerts. We live at the base of the blue ridge mountains and I am thankful for the bug cover as I am always concerned about mosquitos and other bugs. It will be great for the upcoming holiday travel instead of taking a huge pack-n-play!

The only downside I would say is the bottom is very soft. If you are interested in using it multiple times a day or for an extended period of time you might want to use some type of reinforcement.

I adore this bassinet! We received it right in the midst of helping a friend renovate their new house, and it was an absolute lifesaver. The mattress seems nice and comfy, and the hood and screen gave baby a nice respite from prying kiddos and pups. We are really looking forward to using this on our outdoor adventures next year. Peace of Mind Anywhere

I got a chance to try this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and absolutely love it. We have been using it with our 5 week old non-stop since receiving it. It has provided us with a safe place for her to rest while our rambunctious 18 month old plays. At first I was nervous that it wouldn't be sturdy enough to withstand our little man's excitement over his new sister, but I was pleasantly surprised. He has truely put this bassinet to the test and it has held up perfectly with no breakage issues. It has also lived up to it's name as a "travel bassinet." It is super easy to take down and put up whether we're going to another room, the park, or the grandparents house. And when outside, the sunshade and insect net have been a perfect addition allowing us all to get fresh air and outdoor play while maintaining peace of mind that our little girl is protected from the sun and the bugs. Bottom line, I wish we had this when our son was born and would recommend it to any new parent.

Portable and Sturdy

I received this bassinet as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel. This travel bassinet was easy to set up and use. I was impressed with how sturdy it was compared to another "travel crib" that a friend had given me. This would be great to use in a hotel when we are traveling as it is more compact than a pack n play and therefore takes up less space in our already over-packed van. The mattress is thick enough to sleep on overnight while traveling. The cover on the mattress is removal and seems water resistant. It is soft enough for the baby to lay directly on it, although if I was using this for more than one night I'd use a bassinet sheet. The sun shade and bug net also make it a great option for camping. It would easily fit in our tent and could be used outside the tent to protect the baby from mosquitoes. Since it is large, our son will be able to use this for many months. The bug net is a bit difficult to put back, but the convenience of having it built into the shade is worth it.

Portable, Functional, Awesome Travel Bassinet
By SES

This bassinet is easy and ready to use as soon as you open the box! It is compact and includes a convenient travel bag with an over-the-shoulder handle. The bassinet is compact but still of decent side, wider than I expected! The mattress is easy to clean, can just wipe right off which is great for accidents. I do think the mattress could be a little thicker - it is fine for short term use but I would prefer something thicker for overnight use, especially as the baby gets closer to the maximum weight (20 pounds).
For outside use, this is will be so much practical than my pack-n-play because it includes a sunshade and an insect screen. The insect screen is a little tricky to get out of the zipper pocket. The bassinet rests on two metal legs that make it easy for set-up but aren't as sturdy as I would prefer. My toddler likes to peak in on the baby, but bassinet legs move when my toddler leans in.
Overall, this bassinet serves its purpose and is of good quality. I would recommend or even purchase as a gift especially for friends that are frequent travelers!

I was thrilled to receive the Diono travel bassinet as part of the wee Spring Parents Panel! This is perfect for every grandma's house! So lightweight and easy to set up. Our grandson Travis napped comfortably and safely while we ate dinner. The pop-up awning shaded him from the lamp lights in the room and our granddaughter Abbey loved peeking in on her brother through the mesh side panels! This was so easy to fold up into its carrying case and tuck away just about anywhere until next time. We can't wait to travel with it to Europe next summer! It'll be perfect!

Wish I had this for my spring baby

I was surprised by the size of the box when this bassinet was delivered. I was thinking "are you kidding me? How can this be good?"I opened the box and was greatly surprised by the packaging and how the bassinet was pretty much ready to go right out of the travel bag that it was in. I set up the bassinet in under 60 seconds which I felt was important for use when you do use it for travel. When I went to unsnap the snaps that attach the fabric to the frame one of the snaps broke. Not a big deal because it does not interfere with the function of the bassinet. The frame is very light weight but sturdy. After putting the mattress into the bassinet it was time to test it out. I put my 7 week old in and raised the sun cover. Everything functioned as expected. The bug net was easy to open and close and felt that with repeated use may be the first thing to wear out. There is a lot of room for growth in this bassinet. My two year old toddler even liked it! I wish I had this Diono Travel Bassinet with my first that was born in the spring! I would have used this for when we traveled to the beach and to my parents home. I am not a fan of pack and plays so this is an excellent alternative! The only thing that I think that is missing is a slightly thicker or firmer mattress.

Great way to travel with your babe

The Dreamliner travel bassinet is a great alternative to a pack and play when traveling with a baby. It is wide and roomy enough to sleep a baby until he can stand. It is easy to set up- once you know how it takes less than a minute- and take down. The mattress pad is machine washable, the bassinet features generous breathable sides. My favorite feature is the full canopy and bug screen that would make this ideal for camping or the beach where there is lots of sun or pesky bugs. The bassinet also comes in a bag with a shoulder strap to make transporting it even easier. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bassinet!

I love this Portable Bassinet
I want to start by saying that I was really impressed with this product The first thing I noticed was the nice and neat packaging the travel bassinet came in. And once I opened the box and there it was - a beautiful and very light bassinet called the Dreamliner Travel Bassinet is. It's amazing how lightweight and easy to carry the bassinet is, and it also includes a messenger style bag. I highly recommend buying this bassinet as you can very easily carry it around , super portable. You can actually carry it on your shoulder too. I also loved the colors and design of this super elegant bassinet.Another advantage is : super easy to set up. No head scratching or booklet studying needed. So easy and straightforward anyone can set this one up. Another feature I like :everything secures with snaps. This is a great product overall and I would highly recommend this bassinet for anyone with a new baby. This is not great just for traveling you could even use it around the house. I got a chance to try this bassinet for free as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

This bassinet folds up so slim and is lightweight - so easy to pack for a road trip. Rough measurements folded - 20"x16"x5". It took all of 30 seconds to open up - there is no assembly, and is just as easy to collapse/fold. It's got mesh sides which make me feel good about airflow while baby sleeps. The nice, thick cushioned pad has a removable cover which is machine washable. It doubles as a nice big changing pad (for my toddler too!) in the back of the SUV while on the road trip. The hood is wonderful - it's got a half cover, but can also be unzipped to reveal fabric & mesh that completely covers the bassinet (to keep out sun or flies if you're outside, and to keep out toddler siblings and their toys if you're inside!!). You can move the bassinet with one hand if you have baby in the other. You cannot move it while baby is in it though. My son is 6 weeks old and he really enjoyed the cozy space. I definitely recommend this. I received this bassinet as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel.

Lightweight & portable but may not be practical for everyone

I received this bassinet as part of the weeSpring parent panel and was really excited to give it a try. I've been struggling with where to place my newborn for daytime naps, since he hasn't yet taken a liking to his swing and thought this could be the perfect solution. I was surprised when it was delivered as the box that it was shipped in was very small and was impressed at how compact it folds up.

I immediately took it out and started to set it up. Even though there really isn't much to it, I have to say that I struggled a bit, especially with the canopy. It doesn't really lock in position and can still collapse, even when the elastic band is looped around the tab. This bothered me. But the biggest problem with this bassinet for me were the instructions to only place this product on the floor or ground. That is just impractical given my current situation. Not only do I have a toddler running around like a crazy man, who is not the most sure-footed, by the way, but I also have a cat who thought this bassinet was a new bed for him. Keeping this on the floor is just not an option, I was really hoping there would be some type of stand. Obviously, I can place this on a table or high countertop, but since that is not the intended use, I really hesitate to do that.

For households without these concerns, there are quite a few positives. It is roomy - your child really will be able to use this for many months to come. And I really like the breathable mesh on the side that allows airflow. Also, for the outdoorsy folks, the mosquito net would really come in handy.

I got a chance to try this bassinet as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. It is super lightweight and easy to transport, put together, and take down. I visit with my parents about an hour away once a week and it is perfect to take with me and put baby in wherever we're hanging out in the house. It keeps him nearby, easily accessible, and with the awesome cover on top keeps the dog away from bugging him. We also took it on an overnight trip in a hotel and it was great because it was so compact even when put all together. Unfortunately my baby doesn't seem to like it too much so far and doesn't stay asleep for long in it. I'm hoping that changes because it really is quite convenient!

Great for traveling!

The Diono Dreamline Travel Bassinet arrived well-packaged, undamaged and fully assembled. When I first opened the box, the bassinet simply needed to be taken out of the handy carrying bag, unfolded, and it was ready to use. It was so easy that I didn't even need to look at the instruction manual. The bassinet itself feels very sturdy and well-built. The carry-bag is alway made of a study material.PROS: This bassinet is incredibly portable because its folds/unfolds quickly and doesn't take up much space. For a small child, I would highly recommend this product. It is so much more convenient to setup than a typical pack n' play. My two-month old, 11 pound baby fits very well in the bassinet, with room to grow. The mattress is comfortable, wipeable, and durable. The canopy is a nice size with an extendable insect net for outdoor use. The sides of the bassinet are breathable and durable making for a safe sleeping space.CONS: Unfortunately, when the canopy is fully-extended, it doesn't seem to stay up very well on it's own. Also, the zipper that contains the insect net is not very sturdy. I am afraid that the zipper will break with repeated use. This is unfortunate because the rest of the bassinet is very well constructed. Secondly, the bassinet rests on a flat surface and does not have any ability to rock or swing. I wish that I could rock my baby to sleep in this bassinet as many babies need motion to help them fall asleep.I give this bassinet 4 out of 5 stars. The bassinet itself is very well made. It feels study and safe. It is extremely portable and easy to setup is seconds. I would have given this bassinet 5 stars if the canopy zipper was studier, the canopy stayed up on its own, and if the bassinet rocked. Overall, it is a great product and I would certainly recommend it to a friend. I received this bassinet as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Perfect for TRAVEL
By Rebekah

I think this bassinet has its uses, mainly TRAVEL. For one, I love how lightweight it is! I was surprised at how light it was pulling it out of the box. The bassinet itself folds up very compact and I appreciate the carrying bag it comes with. It takes about 10 seconds to assemble and it's very spacious inside- wider than I've come to expect in a bassinet. In the past we have had to haul the Pack 'n Play to friends' houses so the baby had somewhere safe to sleep, and this is a perfect alternative until she gets too big!As much as I like this bassinet for travel, I would not consider it the best for home use. I already owned the Uppababy when I got this, so I will compare the two.The Diono is much better suited for travel as it folds more compact, is lighter, and is easier to assemble and disassemble. I can't bring the Uppababy with us when we travel because it's too big to fit in the car and too much of a pain to breakdown. The Uppababy is sturdier overall, while the Diono's sides and floor have no structure, so it must remain flat on the ground or it's a flimsy mess. The Diono material is slick and easy to wipe off, while the Uppababy's is soft and cozy inside. The Uppababy can be used as a part of a stroller system and a stand can be purchased for use in the home, while the Diono is only meant for use on the ground. The Diono also has more of the camping gear appearance, while the Uppababy is more attractive to have out in your home. Both have great sunshades and machine washable fabric. The Uppababy does cost more. In the end it comes down to what you are using your bassinet for. If you are looking for something lightweight and easy to travel with, Diono is for you! If you are looking for something to be used in home or on a stroller, then you'll want to look into some other options. I will be keeping this bassinet in my trunk so that I have it with me when going to the park or a friend's.I received the product as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.
