A convertible car seat “converts” from rear-facing for babies and toddlers (5–40 lbs, birth to approximately 2–4 years) to forward-facing with a harness (up to 65 lbs, about age 7). It’s a long-lasting seat that lets kids stay rear-facing longer for safer rides.

A harness booster grows with your child—first as a forward-facing seat with a harness (ages 2–7, 22–65 lbs) and then as a belt-positioning booster using your car’s seat belt (ages 4+, up to 100 lbs). It’s a smooth step between a harnessed seat and a big-kid booster, with extra comfort and support.

A belt-positioning booster helps the seat belt fit your child safely, lifting them so the lap belt rests on the hips and the shoulder belt fits across the chest. They come as high-back boosters or backless boosters. Best for kids about ages 4–12 (40–120 lbs) who’ve outgrown their forward-facing harness seat.

Car Seat Trade-In FAQ

Are there exclusions for the 20% off Trade-In coupon?

Yes. The offer is only valid on qualifying, regularly priced items and cannot be combined with other coupons, discounts, or promotions. Rewards multipliers do not apply, and the discount cannot be used on Gift Certificates. Some exclusions apply, including Nuna and certain furniture items. Albee Baby reserves the right to end this promotion at any time.

How do I get my Trade-In coupon?

Cut the straps and recycle or dispose of your old car seat, then upload photos or a short video as proof in the Trade-In form—you’ll get a 20% off code by email within 2 business days.

Is the event online only, or can I participate in-store?

This event is online only, but the good news is you can recycle your car seat and participate from anywhere in the US!

What if I didn't receive my code?

If you’ve completed all steps of the trade-in event, your code will be sent to the email you provided within 2 business days. If you don’t receive it, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Car Seat Trade-In Code”.

When does the Trade-In event end?

This Trade-In Event is live from April 19th until May 2nd! Be sure to submit your trade-in form by 11:59 PM EST 5/2 to qualify.
