We have had this car seat for approximately a year and have always felt comfortable using it with our 5 year old. The car seat is on the heavy side, which makes it a bit challenging to switch it to a different car when we need to, but the install is very easy and it feels like it is securely in place once installed. The harness is easy to adjust and getting our child in and out of it is easy. The seat appears to be comfortable and the fabric is nice and durable. The seat does sit a bit high up, but that's great for a child to be able to see out the car windows and it is not so tall that it obstructs our view in any way.

We absolutely love this car seat! It feels so safe. We use it all the time and it has held up great for the past 2 years. We are currently looking at getting a second one for our second kid. Our 3 year old still fits in it comfortably and still has plenty of time rear facing in this seat. One thing I never thought of when purchasing is it's height. It is a tall seat and that has been an added plus because our daughter can easily see out our car's windows, which makes for happier car trips. We love our Foonf in mammoth wool. We have a 5-year-old forward facing in this one, 3-year-old rear facing in a newer Foonf mammoth, and 8-year-old in the Clek Oobr booster. The kids are all comfortable, and the seats fit perfectly three-across in our Odyssey. We love how sturdy and solid the seat is, the steel frame construction and the rigid latch. Our primary criteria was that it's flame retardant free!
One thing that can be bothersome is that the pad on the seat buckle slips off easily. We've figured out how to manage it though, and overall we are very happy with the seat!

I really really want to like this seat but it has been a major pain since I got it. It's a heavy beast which makes me think it will protect my son in the event of a crash, and the slim profile is nice for other passengers in the back seat, but I can't recommend this seat, especially for front-facing toddlers. This is already a pricey seat and does not come with a cup holder (I knew this when I bought it but still annoying). It does not recline that far in front facing so my son's head falls forward if he falls asleep on a long car ride, which is a deal breaker. Unlike most other seats that put their LATCH release on the actual buckle, the Foonf has them on the front (those red tabs in the product photo). You pull them out to release the LATCH, but if you pull "too hard" (their words, not mine) they can break...and then you can't remove your car seat without using a workaround involving an included troubleshooting tool where the LATCH buckles anyway. It's a ridiculous design flaw that is not covered by the warranty and broke after only owning for a few months. I'll likely bite the bullet and get something else.

Got this for our tall 8mo baby who's at the infant carseat height limit area. Seat is very spacious but slim so you can fit another one jnside Toyota Camry. This carseat also sits higher than other ones, which makes driving a fun activity to enjoy for our LO. However, one thing I noticed is that my LO's head falls forward, which makes me worried as it can turn jnto chocking hazard for smaller babies and can cause stress to his neck. Also, it's very hard to wash the seat cover. Manual says to just use it as-is but it went through all kinds of process (manufacturing, assembly, packaging, etc.) and since it's Covid pandemic still, I googled and looked all kinds of sources to remove, clean and reinstall the covers. Someone mentioned their manual being not too detailed; It is true and the paper manual is hard to understand. Youtube it using few different keywords to find the easiest video manual to understand how to install the seatcover back. I already did it once so I now know how it works, but it took me a good full day to reinstall it at first. Other than these, so far so good.

I had to replace both my kids car seats due to an accident. I did a ton of research on the most safe car seats and ultimately landed on this one due to its slim profile. My 3 year old is forward facing and 16mth son is rear facing so I experienced setting up both ways. I did thoroughly read all the instructions to get to know the product better. It did take some time to get both set up and secured but I can say that once installed, both feel incredibly secure and tight. The prior car seats, despite many attempts, never seemed to be quite as firmly in place as these are. My son is also seeming to enjoying riding up higher since there is the rear facing component that increased the height. He can actually look out the window now. Great product quality. I do recommend taking the time to read the instructions and get familiar with how it works.

A Tank of a Car Seats... But Tanks Ain't Lightweight

Let me start by saying this is my second Clek Foonf Car Seat so, of course, I really like the thing. It's clearly indestructible which feels pretty reassuring when you're strapping your unwilling little food-stained bundle of joy to it before taking off down a 75-mile-a-hour highway. They have great natural fiber fabric options. It never had a funky chemical smell and there is plenty of room in the seat without it being too large. The easy latch system also pretty handy.

All that being said, it this thing is a tank. It's heavy and it's taller than most car seats. I was recently riding with a friend and we needed more room in the car. "I'll just pop out my car seat." What could she mean? My car seat weighs what feels like 50 pounds and there is never any "popping it out". Well, hers weighs a fraction of mine and my mind was blown at the difference.

We are flying soon and I will definitely NOT be taking my foonf with me. It is ridiculous to me that they even have a travel case for it. In fact, I own two simply because I refuse to keep moving the seat from my car to my husbands and back again. No... Nope... Won't do it anymore. I hurt my shoulder one too many times (and I am not a dainty lady).

Summary: If you want a tank, get it. If you want something portable, easy to move, or lightweight... maybe check elsewhere. I still give it 5 stars.

We consulted The Car Seat Lady, Pediatrician Dr. Alisa Baer. She recommended Albee Baby(which we already knew and love, and shopped from before), and the Clek Foonf for our baby, and another child who are rear facing. We chose the Ten Year Blue color in the C- Zero fabric, but I failed to notice that there is one with white on back and one with black on back, and ordered the white ones. They are very pretty car seats, and the fabric is soft and seems to wipe clean so far. The fabric reminds me of Crypton. The seats are comfortable for my children, although they do sit higher in the vehicle car seats, which was a surprise to us.One definite plus to this, my children can see out of the window a whole lot better! We drive a Honda Odyssey van. The seats are heavy and very different from any other we have installed, however my husband watched the recommended videos and we had our consult with The Car Seat Lady, which was a lifesaver and worth every penny! The seats have a steel frame and I feel like my children are very safe in them. We also ordered the Q Tether per The Car Seat Lady's instructions. This is an additional accessory ordered directly from the Clek website, for $19.99, that limits rotation of the seat for Rear facing, and reduces head and neck forces by up to 50%! It adds about 3 seconds to getting the child in and out of the seat, yet I feel like the peace of mind and extra safety feature, is absolutely worth it.The anti rebound bar is also a very nice feature that adds an extra level of safety. The seat is extremely secure and not going anywhere, and no extra noise is heard as others have mentioned. I would highly recommend this seat and the Clek brand!

This is THE car seat. I might not have that much experience with car seats, but immediately upon opening this could feel the quality. The installation and adjustments was not as easy as our Nuna Pipa Lite, but we watched a video on YouTube from Clek and worked it all out. While the number one reason we purchased this was for the safety and performance, the attractiveness of it doesn't hurt!

I did a lot of research before buying a toddler car seat for my daughter and it seemed like the Clek Foonf was the best car seat out there for safety and looks so classic. We picked this car seats for a number of reasons 1) it was the safest on the market based on our research and talking to different retailers that sold car seats 2) you can fit three across in most cars because of it's slim width dimensions 3) it looks beautiful! Albeebaby was a great place to order from because of their reward system and points. After my purchase I was able to use my points on a few other items I needed for our daughter. We had such a good experience, we are now ordering the same car seat again for our second daughter.

We did a lot of research before buying our first convertible car seat. It was very important to us to have our daughter in something that had no chemicals and were so thankful to find the Foonf. On her first car ride she seemed to love the seat. It is spacious and the material is soft. We love that there is the anti rebound bar. The biggest challenge is , with any car seat, reading the manual of both the car and car seat to ensure proper installation. Clek has a very easy install process.

We will buy another whenever we have another kid!

This seat is as sturdy and functional as it gets. We�ve had the following seats:

Clek Foonf (this one)
Britax Advocate
Britax B-Safe35
Britax Boulevard
Chico Next Zip

That is also the order I�d rate them in. I would never buy the bottom 3 ever again. And I�d be incredibly bitter to have to get anything other than a Foonf moving forward. The seat uses rigid latch (not available in 99% of seats on the market), which is a direct steel car seat frame to car latch system. There�s no seatbelt-like material on the latch system at all. It makes it incredibly secure. It also uses a seatbelt and rear latch along with the rigid latch. I�ve never had a seat that has you use all the installation methods at once like this one, and can honestly say that the seat does not wiggle or move from the installation point a single centimeter. It�s also very easy to install once you do it for the first time. Definitely follow Clek�s video instructions, as it is a little intimidating without it. The harness release button is also totally inaccessible to the kids and takes 2 trigger movements from me to even loosen the straps. I seriously can�t put into words how safe and secure this seat is.
