I was a bit skeptical about cost and as I was looking at this a mom who was coming back who was a physician who had been in a serious accident was returning to get another because her child was safe from harm while she and her husband had serious recovery. I purchased and found myelf in a rear-side impact at about 40mph, my 5 monht old was safe in his seat. We purchased another and our son who is now 4 loves his seat - its safe and COMFY!
