Britax Roundabout 55 Car Seat in Smokey Pearl

When we confirmed my 10 month old granddaughter was coming to visit, we quickly researched the seats out there. We really love this seat and it was incredibly easy to set up. There are seats out there that cost 2x and 3x this seat, but they may only be marginally better, if at all.

We purchased this car seat for our second child since we loved the one we got for our first child. This car seat is comfortable, easy to use, comes assembled and easy to install (we use the LATCH system). My children have no problem falling asleep in this car seat.

We have an older Roundabout 50 that I LOVE! So when we needed a 2nd carseat I immediately thought this one would be perfect. But this model is a little different than our older one. The fastener in the back that holds the straps and connects them to the pull cord to loosen/tighten tries to put both straps overlapping, not next to each other. I think this throws if off whack a bit. Then the straps themselves are difficult to loosen and tighten, which is annoying. I do like the extra padding that comes with the seat and the strap covers.

This seat is not only one of the top rated brands it is soft, and stylish. It has many safety features-it's a bit tricky at first to get the addition features but once you play with it a few minutes it's easy! One of the best features is it has three tilt settings for small babies!

My children were in Britax carseats during 2 car accidents, one of them a side crash, spun our car around 180 degrees and the side air bags deployed. The children were not injured whatsoever. We've had Britax marathons, roundabouts, and now my daughter is in a Frontier, we have tried many others which are so cheaply made and difficult to install, I will ONLY buy Britax now. Highly recommend!!! So easy to install and comfortable

I purchased this seat for my son, who is 8 months old but has already outgrown his infant seat. This seat will last us a long time (up to 55lbs) and we can continue to use this as a rear facing seat for most of the life of the car seat (40lbs!). The seat itself is very easy to install, using both the LATCH system or the seatbelt in older vehicles. I have a small car, a Nissan Sentra, but when installed in the center back seat, there is still plenty of room for the front passengers to be comfortable. Britax has installation videos on their website that make it easy if you have any doubts. The seat has ample cushioning and really nice soft fabric. My son falls asleep every time we go on a car ride!
