My boys have used this for over 2 years now and I love the ease of the install. My only gripe would be how wide the extra head protection is (good and bad I guess). It just makes the middle back seat in our odyssey unusable. Other than that we love it used as a harness booster seat and with the use with a seatbelt for my oldest. They have held up great and my boys love them.

This seat fits very securely in my double cab tacoma and as with my other click tight seats installs very easy. I was concerned about lightning the harness but i am finding it does tighten securely , just not the same way the Marathan does, you still can"t pinch the strap when tightened just as it should be. very easy to get my 3 year old in and out and she loves the cup holders. As others have said it's heavy so could be difficult for a small person or someone with out much strength to move from car to car but it looks to be a very safe seat.

Impossible to latch after using for about a year

We bought this car seat about a year ago. At first, it worked fine, but now the latch that allows you lock the seat belt down to secure the car seat has become impossible to snap into place. Even with the seatbelt out of the way it has to be slammed into place to get it to secure. Extremely disappointed given the cost of this car seat. Poor quality and design.

I recently moved my (almost) 4 yo to a 5-point harness booster (only a few days ago, actually). We went with the Britax Pinnacle clicktight. We're sort of brand loyal to Britax for the safety of their seats; he was in an Advocate clicktight previously, which we loved. (We only moved him out of it because we moved our youngest out of the infant carrier and into the Advocate.) I read the reviews for the Pinnacle, so I expected that the harness would be difficult to tighten based on the reviews. However, I underestimated just how hard it would be. It literally takes everything in me to tighten the straps properly, and after only a few times of putting him in and pulling with all of my might, it pulls the seat loose, which completely voids the safety of the seat. I'm frustrated, and willing to only give it a few more days to see if we can find a way to keep the seat secure, while also being able to pull the straps tight enough. Almost every reviewer that said the straps were hard to pull also said that they were keeping the seat because of the safety of the seat and they could deal with the difficulty. However, nobody mentioned that they were pulling the seat loose, which is my problem!! It's so frustrating because I want to love this seat, but it's not worth having to reinstall it daily! I should note that the seat is installed using the seatbelt because my child is 40 lbs, which is the weight limit to use the lower anchors. If it is installed using the lower anchors, it doesn't budge when I have to pull (with everything I have) to tighten the straps. I could live with that, BUT I can't live with the seatbelt installation not holding up because I have to pull so hard. It is ridiculous and very frustrating. Otherwise, it's a sturdy, comfortable, amazing seat that I know is safe for my child. If Britax could address and fix the harness issue, it would be a 5 star review!

Tip On How To Easily Tighten Strap

I have had this seat for a couple of years now and love it. I agree with the other reviews that the strap at the base of the seat between the child's knees which tightens the straps that go over their torso, chest and shoulders is pretty darn hard to pull. Please don't allow this to deter you from buying the seat, it's a minor inconvenience for the best safety for your kid. TIP = If the car seat is on the passenger side rear seat, sit in the drivers seat, facing forward, reach back, grab the strap and pull parallel to the floor toward the front of the car. It works for me every time. The key is to keep the strap parallel as you pull away from the car seat. You can't do this if you are standing outside the car leaning in, because the back of the front seat gets in the way. If the car seat is on the drivers side rear seat, you can try from the drivers seat also, but probably easier if you try from the front passenger seat. Saving $50 - $75 and buying a car seat with less features is not worth my kids life. I will save money else where, like brown bagging my work lunch for a few weeks.

We own 3 of these! Our boys are taller and these allow them to sit in a 5-pt harness longer than any of the competitors. Lots of our travel is on 65mph roads and we have peace of mind knowing that safety tests show they will be protected. Our boys have sat in them for 7 hrs on long trips without complaints about their seats. Happy that they will be able to use them as a booster as well. I am so thankful for these seats! I have been using this seat for my children for a couple of years now. I love Britax seats! I have tried other manufacturers, but not again. My children are 4 and 6 years old and they will be in this seat for a long time. I have this seat in every car my children ride in (I have 6). I can sleep at night, knowing that they are protected. The seat is easy to instal. They are comfortable and the cup holders are handy, particularly on road trips. I take the seats out and take them apart to clean them periodically and this is also easy. I usually, just hose them off. The Pinnacle is large and takes up quite a bit of space, but the safety of my child's head is worth it. They are large and heavy, so travel with this booster is not easy.

I've been using two of these for two years now (and an Advocate ClickTight for my younger daughter) and I love them. Easy to adjust, easy to remove and install, they're heavy duty which in my mind equates to safer and more protective. The ONLY drawback for us is the cup holders are a little tight for our kids Camelbak bottles but we have cup holders right next to them in the vehicle that they use.

Secure and comfortable

I bought the pinnacle click tight carseat for my 7 year old daughter about a year ago. It is wonderful, very secure and she is very comfortable and happy in it. It is a bit heavy but still is very easy to install and adjust. About a month ago I was rear ended in my small sedan by a pickup truck going 45mph, and my car was totaled. Thankfully my daughter was not in the car at the time. The carseat however, did not budge and was completely intact. I couldn't believe it. If God forbid my daughter had been in the seat, she would have been unharmed. Needless to say, I reordered a new one immediately (Britax recommends replacing seats after any major accident) and have confidence and piece of mind that my precious cargo is safe and sound in her Britax pinnacle.

A Feeling of Safety in a Britax

I absolutely feel that my child is safe in a Britax. This our third one and drive feeling that our child is in the best possible seat. Installation is easy to follow. The straps are a bit difficult to tighten and I don't always feel that they have tightened as much as they could or should as there is movement/room between the straps and my child and I need to re-do, which doesn't always solve the problem. Also, there are times when the straps won't loosen and I have to take my child out and try to loosen with him out of the seat before putting him in the next time. I believe in the product so much, I bought two infant Britax seats for my sister who is expecting twins. With respect to this specific seat, I wish there was an option to remove the back of the booster to make it a true booster seat when my child gets older. I guess that would compromise the safety of the seat.

My husband and I bought this about 6 months ago to replace our Britax Boulevard for our now 4 year old, and we absolutely love it! And so does our son! Best carseat we own

We love this carseat. My daughter is in the 95% for height and we needed a carseat that would keep her in the harness beyond age 3. We got this car seat when she was 2.5years old and already forward facing due to her size and the previous carseat we owned was no longer safe read-facing, so it made sense to find a forward facing seat that would last her until she no longer needed a carseat. We opted for the Pinnacle because it has such high upper limits for size. The ClickTight installs so easily. We brought this seat to visit the inlaws and I loved our easily we could move this carseat from our car to their car and back. The clicktight ensures that it is so secure, but when you need to swap cars, it is really easy to unlock. We've taken this on many roadtrips where we were in the car for hours and hours and my now 3.5 rarely complains about being in her carseat. I am guessing this is due to the comfort. This carseat is REALLY heavy and really wide, we have only one kid in a carseat so we don't have any space issues and rarely have to carry the carseat around. The weight does make me feel better about how strong this seat would hold up in a crash and I am happy with all the extra padding. While we haven't been in a car crash and hope we never do, I feel safer on the roads with her in her Britax carseat.

We've had this seat installed for about a month now and couldn't be happier with it. My son is very comfortable and says it's "awesome!" It was very easy to install and the click tight technology works wonderfully. The seat was snug and secure on the very first try to install. We have complete peace of mind that it is installed correctly and our son is safe while riding in the car. We transitioned to this seat from the Advocate 70 CS and the only thing I miss is the "click" noise that the Advocate has when tightening the straps. I've had no issue with getting these straps tightened at all. My son loves the cup holders and the arm rests too. We like the added side protection that this seat offers and it fits very nicely in our SUV. Overall, we are very satisfied with this seat. Great purchase!

We've had this seat for about 6 weeks now and I love it! It's super easy to get my son in and out of. The straps pull very snug with little effort! My son loves it and seems very comfortable...he even falls asleep in it from time to time. Easily wipes clean. Cup holders are easy for my son to access. Our only complaint would be lack of color options. My son asked for red but only the black, silver, and a pink design are offered in this model. We chose the Pinnacle over the Frontier due to the added safe cell side impact safety feature. This car seat is a little heavy but easy to install so I didn't mind. I'm petite at 5 foot and 90 pounds and had no trouble installing myself. Also this seat is well worth the money! The safety features a Britax provides sold me early on. After buying a different brand infant seat I tried the Britax convertible seat when my son was 10 months old and have loved Britax since. I'll never buy any other brand. I started my daughter in Britax from day one!

I booty this car seat about 3 months ago for when I take my niece on car rides. What sold me on it is the triple side impact protection and the clicktight feature. I also love the honeycomb pieces that keep my niece safe if there were to ever be an accident with her in the car. The hug straps are awesome too. I just love that Britax had put safety above all other trivial features such add aesthetics and comfort. I always recommend this booster to everyone I know.

We have had this seat for just about 2 years now and it will continue growing with my son. It is easy in and out of the car when needed and the buckles don't get stuck like some of the others I have encountered.

I love the Pinnacle, I feel so safe knowing my son is so well protected. The seat is a bit bigger, luckily we only have one child currently so it hasn't been an issue for us. Adjusting the seat has been a breeze and the clicktight has made it a breeze to install.

I have had this car seat for 2 years now. My daughter hated to travel. She would cry and scream the whole time. We trade a few diffrent brand and nothing helped, she was still fussy. We almost gave up and figured we just couldn't go far or very offten. We felt stuck. We had a freind recommend we try Britex so we figured we would give it a try. We didn't exspect much. When we got this car seat it was easy to install and you can see the amazing Quality and the heavy duty frame. We decided to try a small trip and she was so comfortable she didn't scream or cry. We thought that it has to be a fluke, so we tried again. She was still way happier then she ever was before. It was like freedom was given back to us. we love Britex and recommend it to every parent. I could go on for days how amazing this car seat is. They are so superior to other brands. I will never get any other carseat again. We were blown away at how amazing this product is.

Easy Installation!!

I bought 2 of these car seats for my son who is 4 years old - one for my vehicle and one for my husbands. As a certified car seat technician, I have installed A LOT of car seats and this is by far one of the easiest car seats to install! The click tight is convenient and makes installation a breeze. You don't need to get your knees up and push down on the car seat to make sure it's tight enough. You just put the seat belt through the designated slot - tighten it up a bit - and then push down the seat of the car seat until you hear the "click". It's that simple! And, it's tightly in there! I can't move it more than an inch at the belt path. It's also very easy to take apart and clean. It has an added recline feature when using the 5 point harness that my son likes as well. It's definitely worth spending the money to get this car seat!!

Easy and safe!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new technology of the click tight, and I was relieved at how easy it was. I used to break a sweat trying to get the seats in and out of my husbands car, who's latches are pretty deep within the seat. I also really love the amount of head protection and the usual safety features Britax always has. It has the freedom and "big kid" feel of a booster with the safety of a convertible seat. Love it! We got the all black version.

I've been a Britax customer since my first daughter was born in 2012 and won't use anything else. I know have two daughters and we've had the infant car seat, B Safe, and the convertibles. Now we are moving on up to the pinnacle for my oldest while my youngest gets the convertible. This car seat is so easy to install and I love the safety it provides. Never going to another brand! Ever!

I bought this for my 3 year old son and we love it! I love the easy install and the comfort and safety of the seat! My son's head very rarely falls forward when he sleeps and it is even on the most upright setting. We love it and plan on buying one for our daughter when she is old/big enough. My one and only complaint isn't even about the seat. It is about how in my 2013 Chevy Traverse, the seat belt base won't move over any at all which makes it harder to get the seat in straight since we can't center it as well. It is a little slanted but not bad at all. I'm a little on the ocd side so I notice those things. =)

I bought this almost a year ago for my step son. I am so impressed with the side impact protection, you can't get any better with that 3 layers of protection. The click tight makes it so easy to transfer from car to car. It's more than what I wanted to spend but you can't put a price on safety! He loves his seat! When he tells you he feels extra safe it makes the cost seem like nothing! The part I loved was the booster can go up to 120lbs!! I love that it has a 9 year lifetime! I know I'll get more than my money's worth with future children! I highly recommend this seat!! Worth every penny!!

This is our second Britax car seat. Our son is nearly 6 now so he needed the larger size of the Pinnacle ClickTight. The new installation design is so much easier than the old design! This care seat makes me feel confident each time we use it. This seat is NOTHING like those cheap things you see at the stores. I would NEVER put my son in one of those flimsy things! I absolutely recommend Britax to everyone I know... and even to strangers! Britax car seats are WORTH EVERY PENNY!
