The cooking is fast. Only takes 10-15 minutes. The blending is okay. You'll need to stir it a few times to get evenly smooth puree.

The manual said to descale every 50 uses. I only used it for like 20 times and one day I used the flashlight to check the inside of the heating reservoir, I saw brown/rusty stains. And I only use distilled water for steaming. I checked online it says it’s stainless so it cannot rust. I tried their method to mix water and vinegar to try to remove the “water buildup†but it doesn’t work. It’s just there and cannot be removed at all. I wanted to return/exchange but I don’t think this website accepts used items. I’m so disappointed. Won’t recommend this item. Don’t waste your money.

Yes you could steam over a regular cooking pot, but this is so so good. Cut your veggies, add the water and press the button to then forget about it for 15minutes and you have fresh purreed veggies/fruit for your LO. It’s a single hand tool so you can still hold your baby.
Can’t live without it and i’ve only been using it for less then a week :-)

I love the Beaba and the rose gold color is so pretty. My daughter is 16 months old and we still use it. Making her purees when she was younger was so much easier using this. I would recommend the Beaba Babycook to anyone.

I've had this item for almost a year now and I still love it. Bonus points for being a gorgeous rose gold color! I started off using it to cook my sons food and then pur?e it when he started eating solids. It worked great. Now I primarily use it to reheat his food. He eats the same food as the rest of the family now since he's older. But rather use the microwave, I just put his food in one of the Beaba containers and reheat. Works perfectly!

Bought this after welcoming our third child. I was too overwhelmed by the idea to "make" baby food after trying a couple times with my other two kids. This appliance streamlines the process and makes it quick and easy. Simply measure water to one of the 3 levels indicated on the cooking container, pour water into appliance, cut up fruit and/or vegetables, place in container, close and hit steam button. Once it cooks for approximately 10- 15 minutes, stain cooked items , return to cooking container and blend with cooking water.At most it takes 20-30 min. Left overs can be stored in the refrigerator or frozen.I also use some of the puree to get "stealth" fruits/ vegetables into my older kids mac and cheese or pancake mixes.

I can't imagine what i would have done without it.

Love this overall. I do wish the steam basket had a larger capacity. Perhaps, I should have gotten the double version but I loved the rose gold color so much.Makes baby food prep so easy. No need to dirty multiple dishes /pots. Highly recommend.

This babycook is awesome! The ability to steam and then make the baby food all in one container is a breeze. The only reason I give it four stars is because the first time I used it and left baby food in it (sweet potatoes to be exact) it stained the lid a little bit. When I called Beaba customer service, the lady explained that it is normal since the entire Babycook is BPA free. They suggested to rinse out the container immediately after every use to prevent further stains especially when making foods such as the sweet potatoes, carrots or squash. Other than that, this thing is great, the rose gold is super stylish and adds a touch to our modern kitchen.

This baby food maker is absolutely gorgeous and convenient! It really gets the job done! I am able to feed my daughter fresh fruits and veggies everyday because of this! Definitely recommend it!

I love this appliance for making my baby's food! I've been using it for a few weeks and it's very easy to use and looks great on our counter top. My only complaint is that there isn't a place to store the top that is used while blending like the spoon so it has to live in the drawer. I highly recommend if you're looking to make your own baby food!

Great little device that steals and pures all in one. Does not come with any storage containers. Has a small recipe book with some pure ideas and a chart that outlines what foods to give based on babys age.

I thought a dedicated baby food maker was an extravagance when I had my first baby, but decided that any added convenience was worth it this time around. How I wish I had bought this before! Plugging it in and leaving it is so much easier than attending to the stove and the purees are so, so smooth. Love it!

I've homemade all of my baby purees (all three kids) and this is the only appliance I've ever used! Took a little trial and error to get used to using (in terms of water measurements, steam time) but then it has worked perfectly and consistently everytime. It's so great that it steams and blends in one machine. I've also been using it to make smoothies for the whole family so it does go beyond just making purees!

great product to make home made baby food and color is prettiest. only drawback is it takes a bit of time to read through the instructions and figure out right amount of water to use per food, but after a few trials you will get it down.

I started to make puree food since LO 6 month and have been using this Beaba babycook.Fairly easy to use. you could steam reheat and blend all in one placeBut after I blend sweet potato one time. it started to make noise. Maybe because i did not add enough water...Overall, very good product.

I bought this product to cook my 11 months old baby's daily food. It's very convenient and easy. The amount is enough to eat for 3 meals if you make the basket full. And easy to clean.

It is one of the best baby items I have purchased. All I have to do is prepare the ingredients, put it in and then push the button. I can do something else while it steams the ingredients. It beeps and let me know when it's done then just grind it and serve to my baby. I make his food everyday and it makes my day so much easier.

This thing is wonderful. Makes making baby food so easy. I'd probably buy the double one if I were to do it over. It would make making the food faster. Still a great product.

I have been using the Beaba baby cook for about 2 weeks. The appliance is easy to use and works well in cooking and pureeing foods for baby. My daughter is still young so I have not been making very elaborate purees, but for carrots, potatoes, and apples, the Beaba is perfect.
