Baby Jogger City Mini Single 8" Stroller 2011 Orange/Gray

This is our third stroller...and so far the best of semi-compact size fold-up and comfortable to push and steer.

I researched many strollers before settling on this city mini. I am very satisfied with this stroller. I owned the original baby jogger 15 years ago. I was happy to see that the Baby Jogger quality remains unchanged. Although this stroller is NOT a jogger, it is perfect for walks in the park on side walks or grassy trails. You can walk briskly and jog a little if you so desire. The ride is smooth for my 9 month old. Maneuvering is easy. The canopy is generous. I haven't seeen any other stroller with a larger canopy. I did invest in the stroller accessory for storing a water bottle and other essentials. Yes, it is nuisance to have to purchase accessories separately, but I knew this before purchasing the stroller. The quick fold mechanism and large canopy were the biggest selling points for me. I live in sunny, hot Texas. My little one needs lots of shade and we need to quickly open and collapse a stroller when we are out and about. The orange color is brighter than the photo. I like it much better in person. Also, it is easy to spot in the crowded world of strollers..

Got the 2011 version of stroller and I am very happy with it!! My other strollers were Graco travel system and double baby jogger. I sold my 2009 baby jogger double stroller because my 3 year old no longer needed a stroller. I did my research again, looked at a lot of different strollers, and narrowed it down to bumbleride flite, inglesina trip and the city mini. I decided to stick with the city mini - I love the bigger wheels, because they make the ride much smoother, and the shade is just amazing!!! I haven't seen another stroller with such shade - depending on the sun, you can partially open it (1/3rds or 2/3rds) or go almost all the way down and it has two pick a boo windows , which you can leave open or closed. They finally included the PE back support board, so there is no more slouching. My daughter (1 year old) sits in it very comfortably. The seat is also more upright - which is a huge improvement over the last year's city mini. The stroller has an amazing fold it folds instantaneously and very flat so it takes almost no space in the trunk!!! My first stroller was a bulky Graco, so I appreciate the trunk space. The stroller is very stylish too!! I found the orange color to be much brighter than it is on the picture. With exception of the upcoming purple city mini, I've seen people with citi minis of all the colors baby jogger offers and I loved orange the best!! The accessories for this stroller are pricey, but for some of them, like parent console, you can find a generic version. The basket is a good size but not a very easy access - I found ways around that problem, I carry some stuff in smaller plastic bags and if I take big bag with me - I unclip the basket, fit my bag into it and then clip it back up. There is an additional big mash pocket on the back of the stroller too. Albeebaby was terrific with fast shipping and delivery of the stroller!! Shipped in 2 days and I got it delivered in 2-3 days.
