Love it years later
October 18, 2017
I bought this stroller years ago when my first child was little - love it to this day! Many years later, we are about to have our second baby and I saved this stroller because I knew I would use it many times again.Even though they say it's not exactly a 'jogging' stroller, I did jog with it one and off and it held up great. I had BOB revolution first but the seat lining would push on my son's head (He was tall). So I bought this Baby Jogger City Elite instead and it was always the best! Great support, beautiful and glides like butter. LOVE IT.

Worth every penny!!

We started out with the Schwinn Turismo in Blue and gray. Our son is 2 and he loves to go on walks but when we put him in the turismo he just seemed over sized for it. The tray was too high and it looked like he was stretching to see over it. His little legs were too long for the foot rest and they hung off the front. He never really seemed to look comfortable. After having it for a month I took it back. I started my research again with new things to keep in mind. Every search I did took me to the Baby Jogger City Elite or a few of the BOB models. After visiting a few videos on U-Tube and the Baby Jogger website, I decided it was the one for us. I received it unassembled but it was super easy to put together. About 5 clicks and it was good to go. We put our average sized 2 year old (just about 34 inches and 30 pounds) in it and he just looked like he was so comfortable!! The seat is much more padded than most, the canopy is huge, there are a lot of parent pockets and it has a soft console that comes with it. It is comfortable to push and easy to steer. The folding method on it is so easy that you really can do it with one hand. There are a few things that could be better. The tray that you can buy separate should come with it but it doesn't. They could have put the I-Pod speaker and pocket in it that most jogger strollers have. It is also quite high for me even with the handle bar down as far as it can go. I am 5 foot so most strollers are big but this one seems a lot taller compared to the Pliko 3 we use every day. All in all this is the best stroller we have found and at the price there is no way to beat it.
Pros
  • Seat is big enough for a toddler and still has room to grow.
  • Large sun canopy
  • Lots of pockets
  • Leg room for toddlers
  • Appearance
  • Rubber tires
  • Swivel front wheel
  • Easy to steer
  • Easy to fold
Cons
  • Height- almost too tall for me
  • Tray not included

Amazing stroller at an amazing price!

I have a double Valco and needed a new single stroller. Baby Jogger was one of our top choices 3 years ago when we got the Valco due to a special on price. This is a great stroller and at $270 a steal. We were considering the City Mini, but I knew I wouldn't be happy with it after having a Valco but I really didn't want to spend $400. For $40 more you get a huge upgrade in stroller and you won't be disappointed. The color choice was last on my list, but after receiving it I really like it. It is not tan at all in color. It is a gray stone color. I wasn't able to find this stroller anywhere for this great of a price. I am surprised it is still available.
