Baby Jogger 2011 City Mini Double in Stone/Black

This item is discontinued.
Description
The Baby Jogger City Mini Double is New and Improved for 2011!! We have made a few changes to the 2011 City Mini that improve the overall comfort of our stroller. Historically, we have heard from consumers that they wish the City Mini seat back had more support and that their children could sit more upright. The 2011 City Mini will include a PE board, giving the back of the seat more support. The 2011 City Mini will also include what we are calling an' Upright Strap'. The Upright Strap will pull the back of the seat forward, allowing children to sit more upright in the seat.

Please note that one car seat can be attached to the City Mini Double with the use of a car seat adapter (sold separately).

I love this stroller and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. It folds up super compactly, it is easy to open and close, it isn't super wide - (It fits through the front door and my toddler can walk next to the stroller on the sidewalk and we all still fit.) I love the color - its not so light that dirt shows, its just a nice neutral. And the SHADE - fantastic for my fair skinned children. Most of the con's that I read about had to do with having to buy all sorts of attachments for it since it doesn't come with a cup holder, etc, but I just bought 2 hooks that I can hang my purse and shopping bags on and I haven't needed anything else. There are places in the stroller for stashing a waterbottle and snacks without buying attachments for them.

i have two girls that are 16 mos apart and i am a very active mother. i wanted a stroller that could keep up with me and this stroller definitely does that. the color is exactly what i wanted (it is s a little darker in person compared to the photo. the photo of it looks more white but it's not). with the mesh backing on the seats i feel like there is enough storage. you have to figure, the more you put in the stroller the more you are pushing. i like to minimize. we also purchased the belly bar to go with it and love that my daughter can pull on the bar to see something around her if she wants. she likes to lean on it and peak around the shade to see her little sister ;) the shade extensions are simply magical. they block the sunshine that is typically just below the shade. i go walking 3 miles every morning with my girls in this stroller. it's a smooth ride and we are completely satisfied.
Pros
  • light weight.
  • separate shades.
  • shade extension and double window peek throughs.
  • fits through ALL doorways.
  • easy adjustable 5 point harness system.
  • mesh seat back pockets for phone, dog bags, burpcloth, etc...
  • stone color.
  • EASY to maneuver.
  • separate seat reclining.
  • comfortable handle and height.
  • quick and easy foot brake.
Cons
  • hard to reach under seat storage.

Easy to Maneuver, light double stroller
March 5, 2012
We got the city mini double because we have the city mini and love it. For a double stroller, the city mini is extremely light and maneuverable. It works well for both my 19 month old and my week old (with the car seat adaptor)....really easy to push and handle. Great product for the price and folds up nicely (but I can't get it in the trunk of my Ford Focus with the adaptor on, which is a pain)
Pros
  • Well made, easy to handle, light
Cons
  • would like if the canopies were bigger.

Bought this stroller for my 4 month old and 2 year old. We make trips to the park and wheel around the neighbourhood. I love it for that purpose. I have jogged a bit behind it without any problems. Yes, the bottom basket is hard to get into but not a problem for our uses. I find this stroller smooth and easy to navigate with both kids in it and walking the dog. It does indeed fit through a standard doorway! I like the stone color, the canopies are awesome. I wish it took the infant car seat without the expensive and awkward-looking adapter.
Pros
  • - color
  • - canopies
  • - steering
  • - narrow
  • - nice recline
  • - nice ventilation
  • - comfy handle
Cons
  • - bottom basket hard to access
  • - does not accept infant car seat without adapter
  • - straps get twisted easily

Love it, love it , love it!!!

We purchased this stroller for our two year old son and 4 month old daughter after renting one while in Orlando. We had been researching this stroller and after having the chance to take it for a test druve, we decided we had to get one of our own. This stroller is perfect for them both. The seats fully recline allowing for easy sleep. The sun shade is great!!! We purchased the travel bag and parent console as well. The patent console is a must have. The stroller travels well and fits great in both our vehicles (we don't have to fold the third row seat down for it to fit in our suv). Awesome, awesome, awesome stroller. Both of our children love it!!! We would highly recommend this stroller...actually we have recommended this stroller to several families.
Pros
  • Light weight, easy to steer, full reclining seats, large sun shade, easily fits through standard door ways, folds in a flash.
Cons
  • Access to storage basket is little difficult if you have large items to store.

Love this stroller!

With a busy, hard to contain 3 year old and a newborn, I needed a double stroller for trips and family outings and this is just perfect. I was skeptical that it would not really fit in all doorways, but it amazingly does. We used it all weekend while out of town and it was the perfect thing to keep us all safe and sane. The seats seem really comfortable for both (though I needed to add a special adjuster pad for the newborn) children and the large canopies are great for privacy, sound and weather. It folds in just seconds and even easily fits into the trunk of a car. I love this stroller so much that I am thinking of ordering the single one as well. The price on this site was the best I found. My only complaint is that there can't be more storage included in the stroller without having to purchase lots of additional, individual pieces.
Pros
  • Fits through all doors, easy to fold, comfortable seats and large canopies to cover babies/kids while sleeping.
Cons
  • The storage space underneath is limited and the color is fine, but not quite as bright as the color in the picture-"stone" ends up being much more of a grey/green, not as light as shown in the picture.

Does it accommodate an infant carrier / car seat? If so, specific brands / styles only? Universal? Or Baby Jogger only?
You can purchase a separate adapter to accommodate one infant car seat on the stroller. They make one adapter specific for Chicco car seats and another one for Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, Britax Companion, Maxi Cosi and most Graco and Evenflo car seat models.
