I both like and dislike this new stroller
January 13, 2012
I bought this item a couple of weeks ago and have used it 4 or 5 times. I am a foster parent and was looking for a double stroller that would fold and unfold in one unit whch this does. I have an 18 month old, a 3 month old and a 2 month old. I have sit the 18month old in the back seat facing me and he loves that. I put one of the babies in the front seat in his car seat and that worked ok. I have also put 2 car seats on the stroller and found that I could not see the baby in the front seat at all so had a hard time keeping sun off him (we live in florida) I also could not see the front of the stroller at all so could not tell how close I was to person ahead. I took the seat off the bottom so I would have access to basket and see that this could be a problem if I had one sitting there.
Pros:
The ability to close it as one unit. the seat in the back for a toddler. It puts him up to my level and he can see me. I am a long time Graco buyer, having 4 of their infant seats, 3 of their strollers, and 2 of their convertable seats, not to mention the swing, and bouncy seats, and other toys. I love Graco products but this double stroller is not my favorite. I have a peg perego duette sw stroller and while it is a pain to take apart and put together each time I use it, it is still the stroller I will use most.
Cons:
I don't like that I have to take the awnings off in order to put car seats in as If I decide to change kids around and instead of both car seats in stroller and my husband pushing other child in single, the toddler would have no awning if I put him in front or back seat. The awnings are very hard to put in and take out.The front seat, which I thought was to fold flat, does not. There is no way I can put infants in the seats of the stroller independent of the car seats as the back one does not recline enough nor does the front. It does get heavy to push after a while too.
