Cybex Aton Plus Infant Car Seat - Moonlight

The seat is excellent. It's lightweight. It works with Maxi-Cosi adapters. Very high safety ratings. Adjusts easily. This is a great seat if you're looking for something that is just as safe being strapped in without its base. It's very easy to get the seat in and out of the base. Three issues of note: The first is they have a metal plate on the plastic tension adjuster that sits between the baby's legs. The metal plate has the Cybex logo stamped into it, but the stamping can be quite sharp. Mine was sharp enough to cut skin. If you get one that sharp, contact the company for a plate cover. Newer models don't have this problem.The second is the canopy. It's very short and very thin. You're going to need to lay a blanket over the canopy hoop to get any real shade. The third is a noisy base. The base itself sounds like has little pieces inside the molded weighted section and it can rattle. When the seat is in the base, the height adjusting tension spring can cause the seat to make clicking noises while the car is moving.
