A great backpack for the price
Our twin 15-month-olds traveled comfortably past Yosemite's Vernal Falls and along North Kaibab Trail at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in these lightweight, well-designed backpacks. With a little fiddling, they put the weight on your hips, easing strain on your upper back... but again, it took a little adjusting to avoid sore shoulders. We did round-trip hikes of about four or five hours, and the girls even napped during the outings (evidently unimpressed with the vistas). These packs are great for day hikes, but I wouldn't recommend them for anything more since, as advertised, they don't have space for anything else (and why would you take a toddler into the backcountry anyway??).
