Description
The True Fit Convertible Car Seat can be used from birth right on through to when your child is 65 lbs. The True Fit adapts better and easier to more cars than any other convertible car seat, and offers the comfort and safety features you have come to expect from Compass car seats, Compass booster seats and The First Years travel gear products. It offers deep side wings that have been side-impact tested, a full EPP foam liner that absorbs energy, and built-in lock offs to provide a secure installation without the use of confusing locking clips.

The pad is extremely comfortable to keep your child content on short errands or long trips. And for parents' ease of use, True-Fit has a no re-thread harness, which means less adjusting as your child grows. The True Fit Convertible Car Seat is truly the only car seat you'll need as your child grows.

car seat
April 9, 2012
I am very happy with this seat. It is comfortable, roomy and easy to use. It is bulky but fits in my Toyota Camry with the front seat just slightly moved forward. This is in rear facing position. It was pretty easy to tighten and secure. The only problem is the strap that tightens shoulder straps and releases, is hard to pull the lever up. It is wedged against back seat, so when you pull up the metal lever to loosen, it is unable to slide due to pressure against seat, so it is tricky. You have to move your finger way over and get it out of the way then you can loosen straps to remove baby. Also tightening does not go real smoothly for same reason. It's hard to take up all the slack. My grandson is 29lb and 20 months and he has lots of comfortable seating room rear facing. I like the adjustable shoulder straps that move up and down from back of seat. I can't seem to keep the head pillow in place though so I usually remove it.
Pros
  • Easy to install, roomy, fits in car
Cons
  • tightening strap does not pull or loosen easily due to pressure against back of car.

Love these car seats
March 19, 2012
We first bought this car seat when our oldest son switched out of his infant car seat. We have loved it ever since. So much so that when we had our second son, we bought another one. And then when we got our new car we got two more (matching) and moved the old ones to our second vehicle. The kids love them, they are super cozy, very roomy and super easy to install. I also love the high safety rating it has. In addition, the cover snaps off so easily to throw in the wash. I hang dry after a warm/cold wash and they come out looking brand new every time. Our oldest son is almost 4 now and it is still a perfect car seat. Highly recommend!!
Pros
  • high quality seat fabric
  • easy to install
  • well priced
  • roomy, great for kids of all sizes

Grandparents love it!
February 7, 2012
I bought 2 of these car seats for both grandmas to have when they watch my toddler. Daddy and I have Britax Boulevards in our cars, but we didn't want to spend that much money for occasional use. The True Fit was easier to install and is easier to use than our Boulevard, so the grandmas love it! The seat is also wider than the Boulevard, which means more room when wearing a bulky winter coat. No thread straps are great, and crotch strap has 2 positions - 1 for small infant, and 1 for older babies/toddlers. Overall, I think this seat is great due to its ease of use. A seat can only be safe when used properly, so this one gets 5 stars from this mom of a newborn and toddler.Note: the extra padding can only be used when rear-facing. Extra head support is ok for forward facing.

Affordable Car Seat
January 30, 2012
These car seats are very affordable. We bought 2 and overall they are good. The straps get tangled at times but otherwise they work well. We liked that they are front and rear facing and go up to a good weight.
Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Tangled straps

Great Car Seat
January 27, 2012
We got this car seat for my son who is long and skinny and 13 months old. Once I read the instructions it was pretty easy to install in our SUV rear-facing and my son loves it. We took a 20-hour road trip the day after we installed it and my son had no problem sleeping in it or being in it for a long period of time. It doesn't seem to take up a lot of room side-to-side but the seat seems wide for the baby.We installed without the head rest because he still meets the specifications but once the headrest is required it might not fit so well rear facing and I'm pretty short.
Pros
  • Color, fabric, ease of installation, spacious
Cons
  • takes up considerable space front to back with headrest

Roomy & Perfect
January 24, 2012
This car seat is very roomy. I bought this for my car, and my 15 month old grandson. He is a big boy and I needed a large car seat to accommodate his large shoulders. The minute I put him in it he was extremely comfortable and happy. The construction is superb. I would defiantly recommend this for any size child. I only wish I found this when he was an infant, the carseat would go from first born to 65 lbs, and this is my 3rd car seat.
Pros
  • Wide, cushioned, safe

great chair
January 22, 2012
We live in NYC and don't own a car. So when looking to buy a car seat I wanted to be sure I got something that would fit in a variety of vehicles (grandparents cars, rentals, cabs, etc.) The Britax, while getting great review are known for being huge. I found this chair got equally great review ,especially in safety, at a much cheaper price. My son is very comfortable in it and it is easy to install in various cars. (We have only tried it rear facing) I was worried about the cup holder I saw in the pictures adding to the width of the chair, but it is removable.
