What a Good Investment

Wonderful crib!
September 10, 2009
The picture totally does not do the crib enough justice. And even though it took us 5 hours to assemble, it was well worth having one of the most beautiful cribs for our baby. This crib is HUGE, and so handy, and the finish is so rich, and it's so sturdy. I'm SO glad I got this crib. The only bad thing is that when it arrived, one of the drawers had dents near the side of it in the front, but luckily it isnt very noticable.I recommend this crib to anyone!!

Nice crib
August 22, 2009
We just got this crib and it looks wonderful once put together. Pros: I love that it is convertible to the toddler bed and full size bed. It already comes with the rails for toddler bed and everything for full size bed (except rails to support mattress). Great price for everything you get... especially when you compare buying a crib and changing table seperately. The side does not drop down, but it doesn't need to because there are 4 support levels to raise/lower the mattress. Cons: Changing pad is thin, may need to buy another thicker one. Once put together it is very wide, which could be bad in a smaller room.

This is a beautiful crib when purchased. Unfortunately within months all of the finish began to peel especially off the changing table. The crib is not even fit to be sold due to the finish peeling no one will buy it from us.

Great Crib
July 24, 2009
The only problem I have with it is the size of the changing table. My son outgrew it by 7 months old and he was a small baby. Other than that I love the crib. I might buy one for my next baby because this time I already have a stand alone changing table.

My husband put this together with no problems. I love the way it looks and that it converts. I am actually looking for a dresser to match, but no luck. Can anyone help?

Great piece of furniture, but Beware!
February 9, 2009
Just beware- some important information is not listed with this product, that I learned upon receiving this crib/changer and reading the manual. First of all, we have this crib as a crib-only, without the changer, which we LOVE. I bought this one in order to have the two match. I thought the Ellis line had just been discontinued, but Simplicity is OUT of BUSINESS. So replacement parts are NOT available (and Albee Baby did NOT respond to my calls about what to do). UPS was hard on the package (like always), and it arrived with a drawer front scratched up(miraculously, not more).Damage aside, I had assumed/hoped the changer would go on either end of the crib- it does NOT, in only goes on the right. I also hoped the changer could be disconnected anytime, but it shares a wall with the crib so can only be disconnected once you are using the crib as a full size head/foot board. AND, while they say you can use it as a night stand later, it will still have the rails around the top (a little strange). It's a great piece of furniture, but just hope it arrives in good shape with all the pieces and don't expect any support if not.

company not in business anymore

It is a great crib and changer, but Simplicity is no longer in business, so if you want the conversion kit for the full size mattress/bed, it is hard to find. (I am trying to find it right now).

COMPANY OUT OF BUSINESS

Simplicity, although they built a lovely crib, are no longer in business, so tough job finding parts or replacing anything that breaks/or is lost.

Good Crib
January 31, 2009
Got this crib in the mail and it actually met my expectations and then some. In my opinion the crib was very easy to assemble. I suggest having someone else around just to help you hold some pieces but for the most part the crib maybe took me accouple hours to put together. The only complaint that i have is that one of the bolts wasnt threaded correctly and there wasnt any extras. So i had to go to a bolt shop and buy another inorder to complete the bed. In my opinion it was a fluke. The wood pieces were welll crafted and everything seems to fit snuggly. I have yet to test it out with our child since he isnt due until April 4th. Good Crib i would recommend it

very nice, but had some problems
January 28, 2009
My husband just put this together and it is beautiful. However, some of the wood was severely damaged and none of the manufacturer's phone numbers are working numbers. Even their customer sevice e-mail address that they gave was invalid. Am in the process of trying to reach the store we bought it from, so far no luck.

Pretty Good
January 11, 2009
The crib is beautiful. However, The rails are too far apart and the baby's arms can get caught in between which poses a safety problem for me. It has not been recalled but that is the only issue I have experienced with this crib. Other than that it's an awsome space saver having two pieces of furniture in one.

LOVE THIS CRIB
January 10, 2009
I got this crib as a gift at my son's baby shower. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. The instructions to put it together were a bit tricky but we still got it put together ... it did take a couple days tho because its just a big piece. Its a very sturdy crib and i like how you pretty much have a bed set for your kid even when he moves off to college and even when he has his own kids.A great investment, i would reccommend it to anyone. They got mine from babiesrus.com though...... but its the same exact thing.
