Can't beat it
July 23, 2008
This is my fourth stroller, and I wish I had picked this one from the start since this could have been used instead of the snap and go. I also have a maclaren techno XT, but I like this one much better to commute to and from work via public train transportation. My favorite features are the large basket, the one hand hold, the extendable handle bars for taller people, and a key feature is that the rain fly zips on so you don't have to remove it when it isn't raining. Another key feature is that your kid can move shoulders forward and back in this because their shoulders are not tied back. They are in a movable harness. Hard to describe, but a cool feature to keep the kid happy. I just leave it on and pull it over fast any time it rains. The one thing my hubby does not care for is the steering. It is sometimes harder to manuever, but once you get the wheels turned the way you want it with a strong force, it works just fine. I have no problem with it as the main user. I put it together too, with no help from my hubby and had no problems, and I am not usually the one who puts our stuff together. I suggest you buy this as your first and posiibly only stroller. It is rather large, so your trunk might prefer a smaller umbrella type.

Buy this stoller now!
May 31, 2008
I bought this stroller after searching for days. I settled on Peg Perego, and then found this for 129, what an unbelievable deal! They truly thought of everything! It is a little bulky when folded, but very sturdy. I love that it can be used as a carriage. And does come with a rain cover that zips onto the canopy. Very good buy!

Mixed Feelings

I don't know how this stroller makes the "lightweight" stroller section. It is a monster. It is bulky when folded up, so it's hard to carry. Many websites, including Peg Perego's and consumer reports, list the weight to be 18lbs. My scale weighed it at around 23 lbs, so I did some looking around and found that Amazon & the booklet that came with the stroller list it at 29 lbs. I'm so confused and super disappointed, considering I'm only 5'3" 120 lbs and have to lug this thing up 3 flight of stairs to get it in and out of my home. Need to give Peg Perego customer service a call (also for an another unrelated manufacturing problem), but the line has been busy all day.Other Cons: Sides of the canopy snap onto stroller, but will unsnap when folded up. Stroller is a lot larger than in the picture. Footstep doesn't seem too sturdy. Pros:Fabric and color is beautiful. Pram feature gives the Centro a more sophisticated look, but the seat belt doesn't reverse like the hood. Opens and folds with ease. Instructions were easy to follow (for me at least). Stroller has a smooth ride. Conclusion: Overall, a very good deal for this stroller. But in my case, it was a total disaster as I was looking for a lightweight stroller. I should've purchased a Maclaren Quest/Triumph instead, but thought that the 5lb difference wouldn't make a huge difference since the Centro has more features.

Mixed Feelings

On the contrary, I was able to put together this stroller without any problem (I assembled it without knowing that the written instructions were in the back of the manual!). Pros:The stroller is beautiful: The fabric is very smooth and sturdy. It looks like a pram when you reverse the hood (my friends complimented me on this look). The basket is huge. After a few practices, the stroller folds up and opens with ease. Great deal of accessories for the price.Cons: Many many sites list this stroller as being 17-18lbs, but it IS NOT. Even without the hood and extra accessories, it weighs about 22 lbs. This is a huge disappointment for me because my apartment is on the 3rd floor with no accessible elevator/escalator. It is very bulky (looks a lot smaller on the internet), making it much harder to lug this around. When folded up, you can only roll the stroller on one side because the basket drags on the floor. The canopy doesn't fold with ease. (the buttons on the side that attaches to this canopy keeps detaching from the chassis every time I fold up the stroller). The tires are dingy. Apparently, it's also too large for air travel (if that's what you're considering). The universal car seat strap that came along with the stroller would not buckle with the stroller's harness. I called Peg Perego about it and the rep, who was rather vague and unfriendly, told me I'd receive a "universal car seat strap." Conclusion: I'm on a tight budget (hence why I bought this), so was looking for a complete stroller. But then I realized that I'm not out there to battle Mother Nature, so I realized I'm probably better off with a Maclaren for its light weight. I haven't used it yet, in hopes that I can sell it off to someone else so that I can use this money to buy a Maclaren. If not, I'll eventually use ti.

Hard to assemble
April 29, 2008
We received this stroller today. We purchased the matching Viaggio car seat as well. The assembly was a little hard, however, I love the color of the fabric. I think it is such a great deal for this price. It is not as sturdy as Chicco stroller. I am still trying to figure out how to assemble all the accessories.
